    Considering that I am new to the game, this video is EXCELLENT! It's very clearly presented and I've noticed you have repeated two, or even three times, difficult rules which REALLY helps we beginners. Thank you!

    I am trying to learn this game. This was very helpful. This clarified a few rules that were not noted in other videos/instructions. For instance, the fact that you cannot pick up a PREVIOUSLY discarded tile. Very clear and concise. Thanks for making this tutorial.

    In addition to the tiles previewed in the video, my set also includes 8 season tiles (2 each for summer, winter, autumn, and spring). My set also includes 10 joker tiles, and 4 blanks. Are these extra tiles not part of American Mahjong?

    • @MAHJONGGCLASS
      @MAHJONGGCLASS  8 місяців тому +1

      Hi Michael, American Mah Jongg is played with 8 jokers and 8 flowers. The 8 season tiles you can choose to play with but then remove the 8 other flowers. Choose the ones you like. Only use 8 joker and remove 2. The 4 blank are for replacement tiles if you should chip or misplace a tile. I put the extra tiles in a ziplock back and keep in my case. Enjoy your set!

    Im an extremely new player a bit confused, around 10:55 when discussing claiming a discarded tile you mention “the tile is given to the player next in turn from the last player who discarded”. then in the example you show player 1 taking a discard tile after player 3’s turn. can anyone claim a discard anytime as long as its before the next person draws? or is it only the player next in turn who can? your instructions have been amazing so far thank you so much for making it so clear cut!!

      Welcome to Mah Jongg Class UA-cam Channel!! In the example player 1 takes a discard tile after player 3’s turn, anyone can claim a discard anytime as long as its before the next person draws a tile and RACKS it. They must be able to make a pung, kong or quint and place it on top of the rack for all to see. Thank you your kind words and I am so happy to hear that you find my videos so clear cut!!

    I'm beginner. If I go for FFF 1111 111 1111 concield, can the tiles be any # or any suits?

    • @MAHJONGGCLASS
      @MAHJONGGCLASS  25 днів тому +1

      Yes, it can be any number but all the same. so FFF 5555 555 5555 and each grouping has to be the same suit for 4 5bams and then 3 5dots and then 4 5craks. Concealed means any hand with a "C" you can not call for anything. You might enjoy this video as it explains the card in detail ua-cam.com/video/CZ5DVgkTjio/v-deo.htmlsi=6FnpcCdQ2JDhrY2u

    Hi, I have a question. When Player 1 calls the "2crack" before player 3 picks up their tile from the wall they have essentially gone out of turn, or had an extra turn. After that does play continue to player 3 and then 4 and then again to 1? It's like player 1 just had an extra turn by calling.

    • @MAHJONGGCLASS
      @MAHJONGGCLASS  Рік тому

      Great question, Play continues to the right of the player who called the tile after they discard. so in your example player 2 would go, because player 1 called for the tile. Let me know if understand this?

    • @EasternUtahTrimlight
      @EasternUtahTrimlight Рік тому +3

      @@MAHJONGGCLASS So, it's as if player 3 and 4 were skipped essentially and player 1 and 2 got an extra turn due to the "Call". Play continues to the right of whoever calls.

    • @MAHJONGGCLASS
      @MAHJONGGCLASS  Рік тому +2
