Bioshock Infinite has so many problems yet it's sheer charm, beauty, creativity and ingenuity intrigue me to this day. Games like these aren't made anymore.
Problems like...? It's an exapmle for today's AAA titles dude. Pure singleplayer, no bullshits. You bought it, and you had a LOT of fun. This game is a masterpiece, and its 10 years old. Don't get me wrong, there is no perfect game. But compared today's trash, it is trully a masterpiece. :)
Yep, problems like 1. How the coin always lands on heads. 2. How he always get #77 3. How the game glitches with multiple watchtower but the girls all look diff Sheesh idiots cud have atleast randomized this.
I can't believe it's been 10 years now. I remember buying this for Christmas 2014. I was floored by how engrossing and fun it was. Till this day the bioshock series is among my personal favorites. It's sad seeing it end. Ken Levine is a genius
I love how this game's story can be really confusing and deep with a lot of twists and turns, and yet somehow, you still get to feel everything you are supposed to feel. Elizabeth's loneliness, Booker's regret, the way their relationship reflects a father-daughter relationship, and how they are both what they have been looking for during all of their lives. It's amazing.
*SPOILERS* regarding the story, do you maybe know answers to these questions - How did Elizabeth end up on a plane? and why Atlas didn't know what is the activation phrase, or ace in the hole, when he was the one who ordered Jack's brainwashing? It does not make sense that he does not know the phrase
Atlas is Frank Fontaine. He would not know any activation phrases. He would not care. I have to replay to see why Elizabeth is on a plane....but that could be a memory ofJack , who came down to Rapture to find his daughter.
@@wolfiesworld9361 Sorry, but that does not make any sense. It does not matter Atlas is Frank Fontaine. Frank Fontaine faked his death, and he asked Jasmine to have a child with Ryan. Then he sent Jack to the surface until he is activated with a phrase. So not just he cares about that, that whole thing was his plan. So it is not that
Bioshock infinite is my favorite game of all time. The atmosphere, characters, dialog, combat, challenge (if you wanted it) was all there. I remember back in 2012 I went to my first ComicCon and had my Booker DeWitt action figure signed by Troy Baker. True story.
This is honestly my favourite bioshock, I don’t get why some people give this game a hard time. Glad you actually have something good to say about it man!
My personal favourite game of all time. That intro still gives me chills every time especially the baptism and after. Simply bliss in video games. And in my opinion I think the graphics hold up incredibly well especially playing at 60fps. This could be a great television show aswell 👀
For all of the problems this game has it just feels so natural and heart wrenching to play. It’s a story of redemption and accountability of a man that toes the line between being a hero and being an antagonist. And by god do they make it so hard to root against him or root for him. He is the perfect tragic hero In this game. A man not worth saving but a man that saves others. It proposes the perfect question to the player. Is Booker the hero or the villain?
I get such chills from the intro sequence of the game. Going from the bleak stormy seas of the first lighthouse which is a familiar setting of the first two games to INSTANTLY being shot into the beautiful colorful skies that hide such hidden lore and mystery but at the same time lead you into such an awe-struck feeling.
This game does world building so damn well. I remember in the city you came across a music shop with a tear in it and you could hear music from 60-70 years later playing through it, and the voxophone had someone telling the musician how great this music he was making was and where he gets such great ideas. The phonograph in the shop happens to be playing "everyone wants to rule the world" in a 1912 ish rendition. Fantastic game.
The BioShock trilogy as a whole is damn near flawless. In fact, it's one of three trilogies (Max Payne and Mass Effect being the other two) that I can play through over and over without boring myself.
Infinite and the Metal Gear series are the only games that literally broke my brain and had me in an existential crisis for weeks after. I can deal with a few gameplay issues for the greatest story, best music, and most fantastic world of all time.
I play Infinite over again every once in a while. It's honestly just such a solid game I've loved it since launch when I played it on the PS3. I just recently beat it on 1999 mode , very hard but felt worth it once I was done.
This, The Darkness 2 and Call of Juarez Gunslinger are my favorite FPS. It's sad some budget were cut off Infinite but still came out pretty fun, memorable characters and a confusing but interesting plot.
I'm so happy people are still talking about this game. I watched it being played by UA-camrs when i was 10 but couldn't understand anything regarding the actual story. I wasn’t a big fan of the other bioshock games, but beat this game and it’s dlc to completion. I only played it once, and while I’m not a fanatic, this game is absolutely a masterpiece
Something I absolutely love is that the bird and the cage are one and the same. On first glance, without context, the bird represents freedom as opposed to the cage's prison. But the songbird is Elizabeth's cage. There is no meaningful choice in this moment, all player choice is an illusion that leads to the same outcome. As is a major theme of the franchise.
I’m a historian who loves American history and this music choice… wow. The songs you hear like “old time religion” are done by a man named Polk Miller and his band. He was a southerner in the former confederacy who toured with a group of former slaves singing old slave songs and confederate anthems. They’re so chilling.

I never understood why having a new updated unreal engine while the first two games used unreal engine as well. They completely got rid of all physics in Bioshock Infinite. I loved the game but everything felt so static and artificial. The original Bioshock games stuff would be flying all over the place. You could run over bottles, debris, ashtray's, pieces of furniture, and people's luggage. It made the world feel more alive.
10 years later, still an active gamer and no other game ever has dethroned this one as my favorite. When the credits roll after only 15hours (including both dlcs) it makes you feel empty, just like when you finish a really long but also really good game, anime or show
While lacking in story imo, Infinite remains my favorite in the entire series for it's esthetics, characters, gameplay, and just shear charm. I have yet to see a game come as closely unique or similar to BioShock Infinite, and for that I will always love it
I remember waiting, what felt like forever, for this game to come out. I still remember when it was first announced and later there was that long gameplay demo. I don’t think I’ve ever been more excited for a game to release.
19:27 I remember when I first played this part I was wondering if it was set in an alternate universe where Lincoln had survived Booth's assassination attempt and with the US Civil War won gone on to became a tyrannical President For Life.
I found your channel when you made the `ending explained` video for this game. I replayed it during the first lockdown and it was still just as awesome.
I’ll never forget that in one night I beat this game. I was so gone on drugs and alcohol alike but I loved and beat the game so quickly. I knew how to get all the plasmids and guns and somehow I beat it so fast. This game reminds me of high school. No one ever beat the game as fast nor have the ever beat it and still unlocked the feeling that was Booker. I somehow beat the game on the hardest difficulty still without dying. It really showed that Booker was saved but never was forgotten in the new world.
damn i was ready to sit here and watch your whole playthrough just cause of how nostalgic the game is for me now. I've played it like 6 times throughout the years and I've always loved it. The gameplay had a lot of issues and it was kind of messy on development side but they still managed to have a great game with such charm a 1 of a kind secondary main character with booker still managing to be a good main character even if he comes off as just badass man. I love this game and honestly hot take I think it's my favorite out of the bunch

This is my most favourite shooter game. Graphics are gorgerous, gameplay is fun but challenging, Elizabeth is absolute awesome character in story and gameplay. And ending is just MIND F*CK. And my first playthrough was the best. Setting, music, twists...

@@Cheddar_96 it definitely has aged but it’s still very enjoyable and engaging, and it’s arguably the best story line in gaming history so I’d def recommend
I only understand this game like a decade later... and it was never about the multiverse and quantium mechanics... but the bond between characters and "imprinting". I played bioshock games in order, and never harvested any little sister, always saved them. At fist I didn't care about elizabeth, I felt like the main character brooker and wanted to just leave while she danced. Now looking back I see how amazing elizabeth is to 2024 AI standards. They made a good job by making players care about an npc character, virtual polygons. The game feels like a Telltale, walking dead series but being a FPS! Elizabeth AI is truly the great. Good story from times not everything was menacing wokeness propaganda.
I've read somewhere that people wanted animated smut of Elizabeth so much that the rule34 community actually created various advancements in 3D animation technology that are now being used regularly by rule34 creators. Honestly I think that is the best part about this game.
I’m seeing these comments that Infinite has a bunch of problems but like what problems does Bioshock infinite have? The story is actually good and if your sad “spoiler” that booker dies well he actually gets a happy ending because he was stuck in a infinite loop of either becoming comstock by excepting the baptism or becoming booker by not excepting the baptism living with his guilt and inevitably selling his daughter. but since in the end booker chose to die breaking the loop, comstock would never have existed so booker would of never sold Anna/Elizabeth so Booker wouldn’t have to live with the guilt of selling his daughter. This is proven by the post credit scene. Besides that, the gameplay is phenomenal with the inclusion of the sky hook and the tears with the weapon variety. If you think it’s too easy than play a harder mode 10 out 10 game just like the first. The second was also really good I just think it was really just the first game with different characters though. The dlc well wasn’t the best was actually really creative and I liked the stealth aspect.
In my opinion, Bioshock Infinite was an incredible game all the way up until the ending. The ending was very underwhelming and I truly wish there could have been more to it.
I was 15 when this game made me realize that I liked single player games better lol. Way more dense and rich experience than replay-able games IMO, especially if you're a busy bee and don't have time.
People got disappointed due to the misleading trailer but honestly, the change is necesecary. This is meant to be bioshock so change is the best way to make it what it should be. Ngl, I like the story of this one due to it being so complicated and reasonable (which made a lot of people angry and happy about it)
I think I've seen enough. This video inspired me to play the game again. I agree, something about the combat seems more intense and thrilling now. Thanks and great video!

Do you remember how different the game was too?
@@vikinggamer7727
Yes I do remember. It was way different than I expected but still very good.
I still have the GameStop receipt for it, because I had waited so long it felt worth keeping.
Booker was such a cool character as well ... and the first part where you wanna throw the guy on stage that switch to combat so cool.😮
when I finished the game (which was 2 hours ago) I felt like crying and still do 😭
This game is so good and I love playing it even today 👍
The babershop quartet singing God Only Knows was so surreal for me.
I still have to go back to this one and finish 1999 mode and the two story DLC’s on PS4. Enjoyed this game soooo much.
The only complaint I had about Infinite was that they took away the weapon wheel. They brought it back in the DLC though.
*SPOILERS*
since you played it so many times, do you know answers to these questions - How did Elizabeth eneded up on a plane?
and why Atlas didn't know what is the activation phrase, or ace in the hole, when he was the one who ordered Jack's brainwashing? It does not make sense that he does not know the phrase
I play this every July ever since 2013. I don’t know why I play this every summer, but I start to crave it in the summer time.
Garry Schyman was genius when he was writing the music for all 3 games. Absolute unit of a soundtrack
The bioschok games made my childhood so much better i love these games. I really loved the reverence of rapture in atomic heart.
Come to think of it, this would make a great VR game. The flyin' around, seeing the crows around you, it'd be a cool experience
Playing on the steam deck right now, looks and runs amazing and not had a single issue....its 10 years old but feels way fresher than that...
This video once again reminds me that I really have to start playing the Bioshock games. I have the Bioshock collection sitting in my PS backlog but somehow haven’t played it yet. It looks so cool though, really need to start investing my time into it
This game, man. I remember being blown away by it when it came out. I rented it on redbox I think😅
22:29 fun fact: that painting is Sander Cohen
I find myself coming back to play this game at least once a year, I love it so much.
Dude, I just finished this game and was watching your ending explained video when this video pops up. What are the odds!
I've had all these games in my ps+ library for ages, remember trying the 1st one and getting stuck somewhere then giving up.
Might have to install this one though, looks pretty cool.
This is my favorite game of all time! I have only beaten it once on the ps3. I also own it for the ps4 and can't beat the final level! I haven't really spent time on the first 2. Imagine this in vr on the Playstation.I wish!
I just got the collection on switch to play these masterpieces again, genuinely 1 and infinite are two of the best games ever made
Just want to erase my mind to play this masterpiece for the first time again
I know it's not your style, but we would like a full play through of the game
When people say "This didn't feel like a Bioshock game"
I just look at them and say God of war 2018 and ragnarok didn't feel like a God Of War game
Hands down BioShock Infinite is one if the best games ever created 😁
Ah, my favorite Bioshock game
This is my most favourite shooter game. Graphics are gorgerous, gameplay is fun but challenging, Elizabeth is absolute awesome character in story and gameplay. And ending is just MIND F*CK. And my first playthrough was the best. Setting, music, twists...
"Booker, are you afraid of God?"
"No, I am afraid of people who can't enjoy games."
Bought it for $5 about 2 or 3 yrs after it came out. Ps3. Story was awesome and so was the world builing. Gameplay was only frustrating in one part- The 'roller coaster' type area.
I’m a 12 year old kid this is my first horror game and it’s amazing ❤🎉
I have absolutely no idea wtf is going on at any point during this video at all lmao this is pure chaos
I would love to see your commentary live on Twitch or something, checking out a random game and whatnot!
What’s that first clip from? The one with the handyman grabbing Elizabeth and booker falling like that
"Booker are you afraid of god?" "There is no god, do you know how much rule34 is of you and Comstock? And yes, you do rhyme his name with something else"
I just finished this game for the first time and HOLY FUCKING SHIT that might be one of the greatest games I've ever played. This level of storytelling quality is unfortunately rare nowadays
10/10
12 year old me got traumatized by the ball throwing scene. When the sky hook was put into the guys head.
Seeing this made me so happy I just finished replaying this last week. Such an amazing game
Does the gunplay/gameplay hold up well? Like it doesn’t feel to dated or anything? I’m thinking about buying the complete edition to play on my series s
I loved the BioShock franchise , it's so good.
I've read somewhere that people wanted animated smut of Elizabeth so much that the rule34 community actually created various advancements in 3D animation technology that are now being used regularly by rule34 creators. Honestly I think that is the best part about this game.
just finished this for the first time. you've got good timing! and i watched your explanation vid from 10 years ago
Game looks insane on today's hardware. I can't believe this came out over a decade ago!!!!😮 Loving it!❤
Best bioshock ever made..
If you think it’s too easy than play a harder mode
10 out 10 game just like the first. The second was also really good I just think it was really just the first game with different characters though. The dlc well wasn’t the best was actually really creative and I liked the stealth aspect.
This was my favorite FPS game. The story is something else. 😳
Comstock really said fuck yall I'm floating
In my opinion, Bioshock Infinite was an incredible game all the way up until the ending. The ending was very underwhelming and I truly wish there could have been more to it.
I was 15 when this game made me realize that I liked single player games better lol. Way more dense and rich experience than replay-able games IMO, especially if you're a busy bee and don't have time.
Splattering that guys brain onto the description drawing was dope
this game felt like old-school steampunk first person shooter from the 2000s... you know medal of honor? those were the days...
You should definitely make a part 2 of bioshock infinite. I love watching your videos
They are grate fun and a trip back memory lane.🎉🔥💥🤘🥳
I'll never understand why it got so much hate. i friggin loved it
Bro literally took a rocket ship to heaven😂
that franshise have my heart. So incredible every introduction
