Yeah, clearly shows the company isn't serious. 40kW in MTB brakes going stupid speeds is borderline trying to kill their customers
@castortoutnu the current US gooberment is trying to do that now
the big ones have motorcycle brembos and the smaller ones have magura mt5s. the brembos are the best brakes of the car world and the maguras are the best of the bike world
Interesting concerns, but slighlty before the physical brakes lock, the variable electronic braking system pretty much stops the vehicle.
@donitshaik9592 they are pretty good (regen) 👍 I made an atcutal 40kw scooter with 2 nd84530s . I was able to use cheap nutt brakes because of this , but my scooter is 210lb

did you try shifting up into a higher gear _after_ you are already moving? maybe they've programmed the gears to act like... actual gears? ie. larger starting torque in lower gears, greater top speed in lower gears, that would make sense
but then again, maybe not? but seems like something worth testing

Some of the worst customer Service ever! They also exaggerate greatly their specs and I mean greatly

Concerning the play at the front, normally there is none... we should check what is wrong.
As for the temperature, even where I live it is also excessively hot (we are expecting a very tough hurricane season).
But still ensure the proper functioning of the 2 water pumps... see the controllers.

I often wondered if those scooters would be of any use in the U.S. In So. Korea they always show them blasting along on the highway and you can't legally do that in the states. You're not going to be blasting along on bike paths, either. Those WEPEDs don't really fit well anywhere in the states. They're big and bulky and are built like tanks.
By the way, do they come with VIN numbers so they can be legally registered for use on highways if they're fitted with turn signals and such?
I always enjoyed watching the WEPED channel as they always have such well-crafted models to show.
At least in Korea, the smaller models are used by replacement drivers, so they have a good purpose in Korea. I see little use for them here in the U.S., especially in NYC.
someone tried doing that on the side of the highway near me last year (i live rural) cops caught them and fined the rider.
I think you will be fine on FDR in NYC. I would go for a fast run.
They' do have 6" hub motors that max 20 kw they have 130mm magnet width and 3 huge phase wires that's individual sir and can Handle 300+ Amps each at 80 volts in 2t,3t,4t, winds ✌

300 phase motor amps is more like 120A effective overtime for the wires since only 1 coil gets the full juice at a time, the others get only a part of it
since they're very thick wires they heat up slowly aswell which is why a current peak doesnt cause much heat
those thick wire lonnyos are the best escooter motors on the market
people that mod their scooters to run 30kW and up actually buy the same brand motors cause they're the best in that size

again, one of the few scooter companies that gets the front suspension right - that's why it rides so smooth and has so little wobble.

@@ElectricVehicleSpace That's why I don't buy refurbed electronics unless I don't care if something craps out or is wonky about it. I've seen man videos of this model at high speed, I just watched because I enjoy seeing people make the cool find.
Honestly, if most of the scooters with regular linkage on the front suspension would simply turn it around they'd get much better performance out of the same hardware.
You can visually tell - if the motion of the wheel is back and up then it's a trailing link suspension and will naturally stabilize itself the faster you go and road obstacles minimally disrupt your riding flow because the impact forces aren't transferred up to your hands, they're actually soaked up properly by the suspension and isolated there unless you hit something big or take a high drop. Regular linear/non-linkage shocks just jam the force right up into your grips and shoulders, the forward linkage suspension slows you down even more although less jarring because you're hitting where your suspension will deflect upwards instead of through (as much) but it deflects upwards to the front rather than back and up, creating reaction mass against your forward acceleration/velocity every time you hit something.
I have no idea why most scooter makers haven't fixed this design rule problem, but WEPED and a scant few others utilize trailing linkage on the front fork (if you want to see a great example, there was an ill-timed so ill-fated company called Trust that made a MTB fork called The Message - the demos are insane and the performance/geometry improvement is real).

Mine is the Weped Sonic X.i've had it for over a year now.and it's still fast.i can't prove it, but i think i'm the only one in Southern California who has one.maybe the only one in California.just sayin'.even at 60 miles an hour it's fast.
Yes but it should be faster if you pay that price tag. Not that I will run it that fast but there are so many cheaper option that go faster than 60mph.

If a ten thousand watt scooter hits 50mph 40000 should do at least 180mph.
😂 a 130hp civic goes 120 mph now tell me how a 800hp Lamborghini only goes 220 with 7x the power it only goes not even double the speed
I'm thinking the power comes on gradually to prevent damage in 2 or 3 at low speed. You prolly need to start on 1, then flip into mode 2 after ~20mph

Alot of these Jokers commenting on here have very unrealistic expectations and they have a salty taste in their mouths lol Weped has answered all my questions been very professional and my experience owning mines has been nothing but 150% Positive, So Uuumm yeah I'm defending the company as a whole!!! If you are not an enthusiast DON'T BUY stick with the cheaper brands, it's like comparing sterling silver to 24K Gold lol

You have to change the gears like a bike or car of course the acceleration is slower with a higher gear your just ruining the motor if you don’t start off at a lower gear and work your way up
watch the video and see how I change the speed levels.
If there were no karz on de highwey den you can ryde it very slow it wud be cumforteble !

@@ElectricVehicleSpace A tip is that if you want to use speed mode 3, increase the speed and gently press the throttle to change the mode to 3rd gear.
Then you will be able to see the speed exceeding 130 km.

Very risky running along side of vehicles never knowing when they might decide to switch lanes real fast. Only time I would do that is when the cars are stationary. I never assume or take for granted that the cars are gonna see me. Plus the crosswalks you need to be mindful. Reckless riding causes people to talk and then they’re putting regulations on what you can or can’t do. Impressive ride though.
13k to 9k might as well buy a motorcycle or a car the dash looks really cheap on all the wepeds looks cool tho

Just a quick advice: start stating the Wh of the battery + the controller output in V and Amps, that is actually the real power. Motors are usually oversized and the limiting factor si acutally the Wh of the battery + power output of the controller. Good luck!

Almost no one is going to ride a WEPED except to show off. The larger models are not practical in the states. It's uncomfortable for most people to travel on the highway at speeds standing up. That's just too much drag to fight for a half-hour ride at 60-70 mph and not get worn out.

It's a two battery system sir 1 60 amp hour and 1 30 amp hour. 90 AMP hours is more than any bike or scooter on the market. That's also 40,000 Watts Peak power, not every second. That being said you should get at least 60 Mi of drive time
