When you are riding or driving something and it feels like you are going slower than you actually are, that's a sign of superior engineering, you can put the best tires and suspension on a scooter, and it will still have speed wobbles or feel squirrelly at high speeds, props to Road Runner for nailing the geometry on their first effort.
It really surprised us! I've had many times where I've opened up the data afterwards and been like "awwww... that's it?" but this time it was the other way around. We even went back on a second day to make sure we got everything exactly right. -Paul
Awesome! We had hoped to have the full review out by now, but UPS lost our battery (no fault of RoadRunner). So we just had time to get this out, then I have to jump into Best of 2024, and then we'll come back to a full test of the RX7 with all of the numbers. Range should be good, since it's a 10% larger battery than the GTR! -Paul
@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Could you please include information on stem stability and Lumilor maintenance issues in your review? Looking forward to it. Thank you!"
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide is there a reason why the full review hasn't been posted yet? I get it if things came up or if you couldn't do it. But you tested it and said the review would be out weeks ago, so I'm just curious. There has been negative feedback about the scooter which was not touched on in this video. Hoping the second batch shipment delay of the scooter is just a coincidence.
I recently got myself an Apollo Pro, and my god even “just” 30mph is so fast. Haven’t gone for a top speed run yet. You are an absolute madman for going as fast as you do on these scooters
Ha ha! yeah, I seriously can’t think of a time where I’d want to go more than 40mph ever on a scooter. The only time I do this is to find out how fast they go, and we should probably stop doing it. But curiosity always gets the best of me because I just feel like I need to know! -Paul
Wow! The RX-7 looks even better than I thought. I can't wait for the full review. I don't know that I can afford to keep watching this channel. Y'all keep showing me new shiny things.😂
Thank you so much! We had hoped to have the full review out by now. It will be a couple weeks, since a shipping delay (no fault of RoadRunner) put this one right into the middle of our Best of 2024 schedule. So we'll do that one and then take our time getting RX7 data for the full review. Exciting times for scooters! I keep thinking we've seen it all, but getting a scooter that comes out of the box wearing PMT's Maguras etc was pretty great! I can't wait to take it for a night ride! -Paul
I agree with his impressions as well in this video. I have done my first impression as well. I did not do a speed test but i just ran mine past a radar speed scan and my display was saying i was going 50 but radar said 42, so mine is 8mph faster on the display.
Hell yeah!! Been waiting to see this one!! Man you scared me at the end, you didnt have the stem clip latch clamped down and you rode away on it! I guess that just shows how strong the stem mechanism really is!
I didn’t even notice that in the video. The top one is just the lock-nut for the stem. I don’t recommend it but for circling one lap around the parking lot at 10mph, even if the top one was fully unscrewed the bottom one would keep itself in place for a while. The BURN-E latch only has one screw-down latch +pinch-keeper rather than 2 screw down latches and a pinch keeper. -Paul
Nice!!!! That was a nice look at the RX7 and the amount of extra tools and accessories you get is pretty awesome too. Cant wait to ser your official review with the range test etc. 😎🙌
Fantastic preview of the RX7. Looks like a beast of a scooter with lots of goodies. Thanks for risking it all to show us how fast that thing will go 💪.
Thank you so much! We’ll have the full review out in a few weeks including the range test and braking distances! I’m looking forward to getting some quality deck-time with the RX7! We do speed runs, so you don’t have to. :-) -Paul
Man, I can’t wait for the best of 2024 video. I’m currently planning on buying a scooter with the most range. Was planning on getting the rx7 but saw alot of people complaining about the poor quality control which is a big no no for something at this price range. Hope you release the best of 2024 soon so I can figure out which scooter to buy at 4k budget.
We start filming Best Electric Scooters of 2024 this week! In fact, I'm jumping into that one and then back to the full testing for the RX7 review. In the mean time you can search all of our tested data here! Ignorance is bliss. RR is FAR from being American. Rebranded Chinese tech, products, labor, parts does not make it American - it's a pitch you and everyone fell for. I can take any Chinese product, brand it as US made and hire a few people to take phone calls/emails.
@@informationexchange4085while you’re correct that the parts and manufacturing is in China, that doesn’t change the fact that RR is a US company. Similar to Apple, their products are manufactured overseas but they’re still a US company.
Love this! Big scooter enthusiast here and I have had my eye on some Roadrunner models. Currently riding an Apollo City 2024 and it’s amazing….one day in the future I want an off road type of scooter
Just curious, is that riding stance for better aero or is it a stability thing? I've only taken the mantiskgt to 48 (on display) so not sure if applicable?
Mine was Production#25 off the line, what was yours? Inside under the battery says the #. Also one of your replies stated you changed the Tires size in the display P settings, mine was showing to fast, how did you change that? Good vid!
Thanks so much. Three clicks to the power button will get you into P-settings. Then set P0 to 85 (8.5 inches) or 90 Ours arrived set to 8 inches. I need to check the serial number! -Paul
I’m waiting on the second shipment very excited this is my first scooter. Do you have any helmet, and gloves recommendation or safety gear recommendations for a first time rider?
That's a great question. We have done some articles about it, but they're a bit out of date. Lately I've been wearing an armored hoodie by "Beyond Riders" My gloves are ridiculously expensive motorcycle racing gloves by Held and my main helmet is also a ridiculously expensive motorcycle racing helmet by Arai. The suit is also super expensive (Aerostich) -Paul
Paul might be nice, go to a motorcycle store and plan on spending $1,000 on as much safety gear as possible. Consider this like you would a motorcycle, every 10 mph of speed equals 1mm of flesh off your body in road rash, not to mention impacts. Foot, knee, hands, elbows, back, hip and head protection is a must. You're taller than you would be on a motorcycle so those areas can take a beating. edit: $1,000 is probably the minimum, be safe out there, it's always cheaper than a stay in the hospital and or weeks of pain while healing.
A serious contender for sure. Will see if the roadrunner rx7 is around few years from now and how the company addresses and fixes issues that all scooters come with. I like the accessories it comes with. I wouldn't mind getting a second pev next to my Nami.
RoadRunner will stick around. I remember when the NAMI first launched and all the boxes were shredded. I had to disassemble the stem on the first NAMI we received and put parts of it in a hydraulic press before I could stand the stem up straight and latch it, because UPS dropped it on its head! Always something to learn on the first batch, but also super exciting to have a scooter that only 50 people in the world have! -Paul
You are insane, man! No way would I want to be going 70 mph on what is basically a longboard with handlebars. I have the D4 4.0 and it is just fine. I have only had it topped out (40 mph) once and nearly soiled myself. I couldn't even imagine going 70
Paul, can you please share your p00, p01, and p02 settings. Many of us have speedos that are 30 percent off in the opposite direction. We are going 60 on gps, and the speedo is showing 80mph.
That’s what we get on most scooters is a speedo that reads higher than the data logger. Mine was set to a wheel diameter of 8 (shows up as P0 = 80) When I set it to 85 it was closer, but still a little low. If I go to 90 (9 inches) it should be correct or maybe a little high. Yours is probably set to 11 inches. Here are the rest P1 = 72 (volts) P2 = 30 magnets P3 = 999 (I think this is odometer reset, but don’t know what 999 means) P4 = 01 (miles or km. 1 = miles) P5 = 0 for zero start P6 = 0 cruise control off P7 = 1 take off strength strongest the manual says it goes up to 2, but it’s just 0 or 1 P8 = 100 for 100% top speed available P9 = 2 for electronic brake strength 2 is strongest. It says default is 1 but I don’t remember changing this one. -Paul (p.s. none of this was cut a paste! I tapped this all out on my phone!)
@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide sweet, thanks! I will try 9 inches for wheel diameter. My electronic brake was set to 0 on mine. I tried 1 and 2, and 1 feels the best to me. But yeh, some of the manual settings did not match what the scooter was actually set to.
Hey Paul, any special tools you know of that would allow us to adjust preload on these shocks easily? They are in such a tough spot to adjust preload that I feel like the only option is to remove them, adjust, and reinstall. Unless there is some swival joint spanner that can get in there at an angle? Thanks. I'm 290 pounds, and the scooter feels okay stock, but i would like to play with the preload a bit to see... what is the point of the kke's if we can't easily tune them? All we can do is turn the rebound knob, but I would argue that preload is just as important.
Wow, great point. I’m so glad you asked because I’m working on the review right now, and I have the scooter at home with me. I’ll go look. Ok, I looked You can adjust rear spring preload with just your hand, by grabbing the whole spring and the adjuster and twisting. This only works up to a certain amount of preload because it gets harder to turn as you crank it up. The front one looks really tricky. It would be easier to adjust if the shock was flipped end to end so the red knob was inward and the adjuster outward. NAMI used to ship an adjuster tool that fits the KKE shocks. Maybe RoadRunner will start to include these. I don’t know if there would be any bad impact of mounting the front shock this way, in terms of the hydraulic fluid inside, because it would be slightly inverted. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Thanks, might be a good point to make in the review. Other companies that use adjustable shocks seem understand you want to be able to adjust them. In this case, the design is lacking in my opinion.
You guys are awesome and give the best reviews, thanks for all the hard work! Curious about your full review of the RX7? If i remember right, you thought it would be out at the end of June??
Great to hear. Mitchell and I were just talking about the F series today and how when you get to the E2 Pro, it starts making sense just to get an F series instead. -Paul
Thank you so much! We'll have a full review out in a few weeks with the rest of the test data (mainly the range test) and everything I learn from spending a week riding it. Cheers! -Paul
Paul, what is your take on the first batch owners getting tubed tires? Is it worth the upgrade to tubeless? It is apparently going to be pricey to get there since it would seem the motors are going to change on the second batch to accomodate tubeless... Is it really just puncture resistance or is there a performance benefit to it? Thanks
Great question. The tires themselves will be the same, since these are tubeless tires with tubes inside to accommodate the split rims. The advantage to split rims is easier tire changes, but the advantage to no tubes is you never get a pinch-flat if you hit a hard edge. Normal punctures are about the same, in fact with tubes inside of a tubless tire, you've got one more layer. But tubeless definitely eliminates the pinch flats. Since the rims can come off of the motor, I was hoping it would be a rim-swap for those who wanted to change from split+tubes to solid+tubeless and not a motor swap, but I don't know. It sounds like you might have more recent info than I do though. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide I was hoping for the same - an easy way to get there while still using the same motors. The response I got was that it is 'most likely that the first batch owners can convert to tubeless tires by swapping the motors meant for tubeless tires.' That didn't sound like a confident response, so I am going to hold out hope for a less wallet crushing way to get there. I don't feel like I'm losing any performance though, but I don't ride all the scooters you do. If it's just pinch flat resistance I'm sacrificing, I am fine with the current setup. Although, if there is a way to get there and use the existing motors, that could be a cool upgrade video for you to do!
That's a great question. The first one to really impress me was the NAMI BURN-E. It was the first we tested with adjustable hydraulic shocks. All of the scooters in the category have pretty good suspension. The one which has evolved the least, used to be the best and that's the Wolf King Series. Still good, but really underdamped especially in the back. The Inmotion RS is pretty good, but I liked it better when I put NAMI shocks on it. I think the Roadster felt a little better than the RS, but it was pretty close. The Teewing Mars is very very good, and the RX7 is also very very good, but I'd have to get them side by side to be sure. I think with the stock tires they both come with the RX7 wins though, because the PMT's make a noticeable difference. Oddly the very best suspension isn't one I was thinking of until you asked this question, but for sure it's the Dualtron X Limited. Those shocks are easily 4 times the mass of the shocks of all the others and the shock travel is ridiculously long. It makes the scooter feel a little divey if you're trying to ride it super hard, but in terms of just being ultimately plush and comfortable, the X Limited wins... but it's not the sportiest because it is a little bit floaty if you're really trying to manhandle the scooter. But it's 100% appropriate for the scooter, because banging it through left-right combos isn't what it was designed to do, as far as I can tell. -Paul
Even through the video my first impression is that the build quality looks amazing. I would love to ask the designer and engineering team why they chose a single stem with a steering dampener instead of a dual stem setup which tends to offer more stability at the higher speeds. Otherwise, I really appreciate the split rim and motor removal setup. Changing tires on scooters is my most dreaded task, so anything that makes it easier is a massive win in my book. 👍👍
Good question. I think the dual stems are more challenging for the folding mechanism, though there are some good double-stem-latch designs out there. The Dualtron X and Roadster, of course, also went single stem, but both use dampers. The higher inertia of the dual stems does seem to reduce the need for steering dampers. Steering-head angle also comes into play. -Paul
Can you all do an episode in how to organize your scooters in your garage? I'm trying to vertically stack them to make garage look less cluttered. Like with peg board or with pallets. Affordable to expensive. Berri No-ICE.
That's a great subject. We have over 150 of them right now and we're walking sideways through the two rooms to get through them all! Because of the weight, there aren't too many options that are inexpensive and also safe for you and your scooters (depending on which type of scooters of course). My favorite cheap-and-easy solution for doubling up the scooter density is what we did at the Skip (scooter rental) repair warehouse. We used heavy duty folding tables (Rubbermaid makes good ones, but your local hardware chain probably has something good too) and then parked 3 or 4 scooters under the table and put 3 or 4 scooters on top of the table. -Paul
Half way thru the review I had to hop on my D4+4 and clock a few more miles before returning to finish the video. I love love love its high stance. Makes you feel like the whole world is before you - a prone palanquin as it were.
Is there a setting adjustment for tire diameter? If so, it can be adjusted so LCD display matches GPS speed. If not, Dale should incorporate that into the software.
Yes, it's P0. I had it set to 85 (8.5 inches) which was a tiny bit low. I think 9 might be more accurate or a little high. Setting it to 11 inches definitely reads too high. -Paul
Great question. The X-limited is cool, but is just on another planet in terms of size. It’s almost 40 pounds heavier than the Roadster. Based on that alone, the Roadster is going to be a lot easier to live with. If you wanted to do 3-hour long rides, the X limited is more comfortable. For sport riding, the Roadster is more agile. -Paul
In terms of the build, I love the carbon fiber of the Roadster and that it’s not as complicated. The X-limited has so many light buttons and a whole separate battery for the lights that needs its own charger. I would say that the X-limited is more solid, except that one of the wiring harnesses is supposed to be attached to the frame with this snap-in grommet and it won’t stay snapped in. -Paul
I heard that the motor is olug and play and splitrim. Very interested in it but one thing keeping me from purchasing. Hoping you can answer ESG, are the tires tubes or tubeless?
That would be a good and close race. The RS would get the lead at the launch, and the RX7 would ultimately win, if it was a race longer than about 330ft (1/16th of a mile). -Paul
I'm not sure when we'll get a Vsett to test again. It's been ages since we had one. We're working on it, but it's not on our near-term schedule yet. -Paul
I just can't get over the bland Grey color when the lights aren't turned on. The RS5 with the blue paint scheme looks incredible. RX7 Still looks like a fun scooter to ride though
Hey, great video! Truly looks like an awesome scooter. I have a question. I heard RoadRunner is a US brand. Which other top scooter brands are based/made in the US?
I really really want a dyno, but it would have to load both the front wheel and rear wheel at the same time in order to get an accurate reading. Measuring a single motor and multiplying by two wouldn't be fair because the battery would only be under 1/2 load. But I still want a dyno! -Paul
Hi could u maybe advice good gps tracker for a scooter ? And I heard that if phone mounted on a scooter it’s not safe for phone camera, is it true according to your opinion?
@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide what's the speed in 2nd? I went and looked at the manual and I think because u can set the speed gov from 1-100 if it effects all 3 gears evenly if I drop it to 60 it should do 15 in 1 and around 24-25 in 2nd right?
There is no seat option that I know of. It would not allow battery swaps without seat removal if there was a seat. There are some hyper scooters which have seats though. The Dualtron X and the Woll King series. -Paul

"nylon" bias ply tires still have rubber tread, the internal construction consists of nylon bands. The radial PMT's will have a different internal construction, and a much softer rubber compound. In the case of the Stradale B, it's a 65A durometer rubber, which is quite soft.
Thanks for the clarification. I’ve spent quite a bit of time searching for info on how much of a Nylon scooter tire is made out of nylon and not found any great source material. Where did you find this info. I’d love to read more. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide I've been researching this as well. I wanted to clarify to myself whether or not this is a community misconception, or I am fundamentally wrong in my understanding of tire construction. I've come to the conclusion that nylon is a reference to a bias ply tire with internal nylon bands. I'm not sure if PMT uses steel bands in their radials, but I'd be willing to find out by cutting one in half. I will be swapping out my PMT's for a new set pretty soon. I'm interested in analyzing the elemental composition of the CST's vs PMT's using an SEM-EDX. Not sure if this method would work, but would be interesting to try. When our SEM comes back from repair, I'll give it a try.

One of our riders got this scooter, and was so excited to get back into riding after a year of not being able to due to injury, only to have the rear motor seize on his second ride with 11 total miles on the scooter odometer. So many cool features, but I have potential concerns about their quality control. 😓
Was that John Pepper’s scooter? If so I think it was making noise, but didn’t seize and there is a new motor controller on the way. As you can see, I beat the heck out of ours and it has been well behaved so far. I did a couple days of speed runs. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide No, it was Mike, the head of our channel. He was in the process of getting ride footage for our first video on the channel. For him, it clicks with the throttle but has no acceleration in single motor, and in dual, the front motor sounds like it's fighting the rear. I know you guys ride hard, so it may just be a fluke. He's having trouble dealing with the issue though since spare parts are not yet available for the RX7, and we are not sure if it will be covered by the warranty since we can't figure out what actually caused the problem.
Update: He sent a video to Roadrunner about the issue, and they believe that it's a rear controller issue just like the other one you mentioned. They have sent him a new controller as well. I guess the first run of a new thing is bound to have some kinks to work out, but hopefully, this fixes the problem......cause I can't wait to see him bring this on our next group night-ride. 😁
@@Rezak877 Roadrunner sent me a new controller and I've had no further issues, not even with the Lumilor getting spots like some people are saying (though I check it every ride, and I have been shocked by the voltage leak). I would like to note that when my controller burnt out, I was on a steep uphill, in single motor mode, in 100+ degree heat, and I weigh 340 lbs without gear. I chose the RX7 primarily for it's high weight capacity and high-end brakes. The Kugoo M4 is a single motor scooter that caps at 300 lbs, 31 mph, and 43 miles of range, according to the manufacturer. It would not be suitable for me. My personal PLEV guidelines/preferences are: 35-40 mph for the minimum speed, 40 miles of range minimum, and a 350+ lbs weight capacity. The only single motor scooter that's even close is the Emove Cruiser, which is my 2nd scooter. My next scooter will probably be the Teewing Mars XTR, which looks like a great choice for a dedicated off-road scooter, as I intend to use it. ~Mike
The very first scooter I ever rode was a Hiley. We’ve tested scooters made by them, but never anything wearing the Hiley brand. For whatever reason, we don’t see Hiley scooters around that much in the US. -Paul
Shame it's not dual stem. I've never felt super safe going at high speeds on a single stem escooter as a big guy. One thing I would like to see on all scooter and would even pay extra for it, internal alarm like the Wolf King GTR and also a tracker.
I haven't tried it yet. With the right tires I think it could be pretty good. I'd be a little worried or tearing up the Lumilor if I dumped it off road though. -Paul

@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide hey I really enjoy watching your videos! Really professional. Long story short this is my first time buying a scooter and would be my first time actually riding something that goes over 20MPH(I only ride one scooter once before). I think maybe I made the wrong decision purchasing a refurbished roadrunner pro unit since it was my first time I wanted to give it a try and also buy a bunch of accessories for it, I waited 14 days to see what is going on and they basically said they don’t have any units so I don’t know what to do now. My only choice is probably buying a brand new unit . I’m just a little disappointed because I had to actually wait 14 days and message them to see what is going on with my order. Nothing personal (& by the way I know how to ride a motorcycle my dad taught me when I was around 7) so that’s why I feel secure buying something powerful for the first time,I’m very responsible.
For sure. To me the only advantage of dual stem is that it has a lot more inertia, so you're less likely to need a damper. The Roadster and X Limited both do fine with a single stem, but both also need dampers. -Paul
Thing is the scooters Paul reviews are ones people can buy. The Rion, while it looks premium, have a difficult time delivering their scooters to people that want them. Questionable company and seem to make only demo scooters and not attainable scooters for the people. It's why you rarely see any on UA-cam besides the price point
True, that brand seems to be gone. Someone is having a try at keeping the technology alive, but are struggling under the weight of past Rion orders which went unfulfilled. -Paul
I think it is, especially at the introductory price. Performance wise it's up there with the very best, and components-wise, we haven't seen anything like it. I still need to spend some quality time with it during the range test to get a full feel for the RX7. We'll have a complete review with range test, braking etc in 2 or 3 weeks. -Paul
On a race track, or private property! :-) I think just about all US states have some sort of speed limit. In California I’m pretty sure it’s 15 mph. -Paul

The Rion brand seems to be gone, though someone is continuing with the technology by licensing it under a new brand. I think RoadRunner is busy getting these out the door, taking care of the new customers and getting ready for the next batch! I haven't heard much from them once shipments started either! -Paul
My RX7 came with a small dent on the footplate, and they are sending me a replacement. I would hardly call that terrible QC. It is such an amazingly smooth, fast, quiet, and fun scooter. Puts a smile on my face everytime I ride it, more so than any of my other scoots!
@@dhandmg that’s great for you , but the other one I saw had glue all over it , dented kick plate, damaged luminor stem. What about that rats nets of wiring for the lights.. why didn’t he show that during production ? Also another persons controller failed after 200 miles. I believe all these “early” People are getting the prototypes.
For accelerating, leaning forward definitely helps. Once I get up to speed the acceleration is very small and I switch to making my wind profile as small as possible. At over 50 mph the difference between crouching and standing up is about 2 to 3 mph for me. -Paul
I like the idea, but I’m not sure how to quantify it. There are certain metrics we can get into though, like steering head angle and wheel diameter. -Paul

Wow! The price is like $1,000 lower than I was expecting! Amazing!
-Paul
Thanks for taking the time to do this first impression video! It was like a mini review and made me feel confident about my purchase. Cheers! 🎥👍
-Paul
I have a pro i got it up to 72km over time but it get to 60km in about 4-5 seconds
Wow! The RX-7 looks even better than I thought. I can't wait for the full review.

Ha ha! Sorry to do that to your wallet! Just wait until I take it on a night ride! -Paul
Awesome first impression and speed test. Can't wait for more videos on this scooter. You have the best reviews on UA-cam. Thanks again!
I did not do a speed test but i just ran mine past a radar speed scan and my display was saying i was going 50 but radar said 42, so mine is 8mph faster on the display.
my number 1 choice
Thanks! Always great to see you here! I’m looking forward to spending some quality time with the RX7 during the range test! -Paul
Fantastic preview of the RX7. Looks like a beast of a scooter with lots of goodies. Thanks for risking it all to show us how fast that thing will go 💪.

Man, I can’t wait for the best of 2024 video. I’m currently planning on buying a scooter with the most range. Just curious, is that riding stance for better aero or is it a stability thing? I've only taken the mantiskgt to 48 (on display) so not sure if applicable?
It's for aero. Above 50 mph it makes about a 3mph difference. It's less stable though so I don't recommend it! -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide makes sense! Thanks for the content and reply.
Then set P0 to 85 (8.5 inches) or 90

Nami Klima Max owner and I will say I’ve been impressed by everything I’vevseen about the Roadrunner RX7.
I can't wait to get some quality deck-time in when I do the range test! -Paul
I’m waiting on the second shipment very excited this is my first scooter. Do you have any helmet, and gloves recommendation or safety gear recommendations for a first time rider?
That's a great question. We have done some articles about it, but they're a bit out of date. Lately I've been wearing an armored hoodie by "Beyond Riders"
My gloves are ridiculously expensive motorcycle racing gloves by Held and my main helmet is also a ridiculously expensive motorcycle racing helmet by Arai.
I need air bags with it.
Paul, can you please share your p00, p01, and p02 settings. Many of us have speedos that are 30 percent off in the opposite direction. We are going 60 on gps, and the speedo is showing 80mph.
That’s what we get on most scooters is a speedo that reads higher than the data logger. Mine was set to a wheel diameter of 8 (shows up as P0 = 80)
When I set it to 85 it was closer, but still a little low. If I go to 90 (9 inches) it should be correct or maybe a little high. Yours is probably set to 11 inches.
Here are the rest
P1 = 72 (volts)
P2 = 30 magnets
P3 = 999 (I think this is odometer reset, but don’t know what 999 means)
P4 = 01 (miles or km. 1 = miles)
P5 = 0 for zero start
P6 = 0 cruise control off
P7 = 1 take off strength strongest the manual says it goes up to 2, but it’s just 0 or 1
P8 = 100 for 100% top speed available
P9 = 2 for electronic brake strength 2 is strongest.
@@jabo5779 Can you thoroughly explain what p settings are?
Ok, I looked
You can adjust rear spring preload with just your hand, by grabbing the whole spring and the adjuster and twisting.

Great video. I was curious what some of your favorite scooters are in terms of suspension and ride quality in this price bracket? Thanks, Paul.
-Paul
could you guys review the arvala m10 soon? im planning to buy one but im getting mixed signals everywhere
I don’t have that one on our radar. I’ll have a look at the specs. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED!
-Paul
How does the stability of the ride compare to the segway gt2? Thanks
Stability is very solid on this beast!
Half way thru the review I had to hop on my D4+4 and clock a few more miles before returning to finish the video. I love love love its high stance. Makes you feel like the whole world is before you - a prone palanquin as it were.
I wish the acceleration curve would be adjustable. Some people like the twitchy wheel burning acceleration
True! I want sliders that go from chill to nearly impossible to ride. I want to be able to drag the shape of the curve around too.! -Paul
-Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuideOh, i see. Just half step increments, not tenths?
Hello there ElectricScooterGuide, i have a question can you guys help? Emove roadster or dualtron x limited which one have better build?

Can you do a drag race against the Inmotion RS. Vs. the RX7 , Also switching riders ? Thank you good video.
That would be a good and close race. The RS would get the lead at the launch, and the RX7 would ultimately win, if it was a race longer than about 330ft (1/16th of a mile). -Paul

Apollo , Voro Motors , Gotrax , Fluidfreeride , Vmax , Solar Scooters
You should try and find a local dyno to partner with or a dyno manufacturer. The data would be super useful and you could do top speed runs safely.
I really really want a dyno, but it would have to load both the front wheel and rear wheel at the same time in order to get an accurate reading. Measuring a single motor and multiplying by two wouldn't be fair because the battery would only be under 1/2 load. But I still want a dyno! -Paul

Can I put a seat on it? If so would the battery still be removable?

One of my favorite cars was my 1989 RX7 GTUs. They only made 1,200 of them. I wish I could have kept it! The motor and stereo were worth more than what I sold it for, but I didn't have space to keep it. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide love the GTUs. My buddy had one and the pearl white was insane.
Your probably the only person in the world qualified to ride this... Great vidy : )
Wow, thanks!
Really nice scooter but do it ship to outside the usa? like denmark.
Hopefully soon!
@@AgentRickert38710 Even the Kugoo M4 never had such problems with the controller.
~Mike
Have you heard about Hiley?
The very first scooter I ever rode was a Hiley. We’ve tested scooters made by them, but never anything wearing the Hiley brand. For whatever reason, we don’t see Hiley scooters around that much in the US. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide what do you think about the Hiley T11 king? Looks good on paper.
I'll definitely stick to my Gotrax GX2 for now lmao
Really cool scooter and great review
Thanks so much! Enjoy your GX2! -Paul
Shame it's not dual stem. I've never felt super safe going at high speeds on a single stem escooter as a big guy. One thing I would like to see on all scooter and would even pay extra for it, internal alarm like the Wolf King GTR and also a tracker.
Thanks for stopping by!
How is it off-roading?
I haven't tried it yet. With the right tires I think it could be pretty good. I'd be a little worried or tearing up the Lumilor if I dumped it off road though. -Paul
Thinking about cancelling my order over at voro motors seems they playing. And I’ll just get this instead 💨
What do you have on order at Voro? They've been a solid brand for a very long time, but sometimes things get crazy-busy this time of year. It's peak scooter season.
Nothing personal
(& by the way I know how to ride a motorcycle my dad taught me when I was around 7) so that’s why I feel secure buying something powerful for the first time,I’m very responsible.
Whatsupp everyone I hope everyone is having a bless dayyy❤💕🙏🏽
Thanks! You too! -Paul
How are the cosmetics part ?
Very solid for sure!
Hi, Are you going to test solar hyperion looks interesting
Yes, I'm testing it currently. We should have a review out in about 2 weeks. -Paul
Thank you very much. I can't wait .
When is the kqi3 300x review coming
Should be in next month or so
Very nice video, can you make a video with Teverun fighter supreme 7260r ?
We will try to get one!
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuideThanks :)
Are you making a super scooter round up?
Great idea!
The rx7 definitely seems to be a very well built hyper scooter looks good for a single stem 👌🏽
For sure. To me the only advantage of dual stem is that it has a lot more inertia, so you're less likely to need a damper. The Roadster and X Limited both do fine with a single stem, but both also need dampers. -Paul
Thanks for doing review paul i see my comment on the video.. u can show my name i dont mind lol..😂
Nice! I didn’t realize we blocked the names! Our editor is so thorough! -Paul
You should test the Rion against all of these and show the results.
The RION doesn't exist anymore
True, that brand seems to be gone. Someone is having a try at keeping the technology alive, but are struggling under the weight of past Rion orders which went unfulfilled. -Paul
@@myplaxismodelisbetterthanyours I had no idea there was an issue.
@@cocoabiscuits I had no idea, that's too bad.
How do you like it? Is it worth the money?
I think it is, especially at the introductory price. Performance wise it's up there with the very best, and components-wise, we haven't seen anything like it. I still need to spend some quality time with it during the range test to get a full feel for the RX7. We'll have a complete review with range test, braking etc in 2 or 3 weeks. -Paul
Where can this legally be driven at the high speeds?
On a race track, or private property! :-)
I think just about all US states have some sort of speed limit. In California I’m pretty sure it’s 15 mph. -Paul
first! I got the RS5 and i loved it, this one kindda over doing it
But too much is fun sometimes! Ha ha! The RS5 is plenty of scooter though! -Paul
Hmmm. Not faster than the Wolf King GTR. Cool all us Kaabo riders needed to know 😎
This test definitely caused some feedback, which is why I do all of these tests as carefully and repeatably as possible. -Paul
I like that performance and build quality are improving and we are seeing better features and tech but man...these things have gotten too heavy. If I could change one thing about my WKGT it would be to drop some weight. Some of these newer scooters are even heavier.
Yeah, the carbon fiber Roadster is even heavier, but this is in the top 3 for heaviest we’ve tested! -Paul
You guys are the best 🎉
Thank you so much! -Paul
Man I see all this channels reviewing hyperscooters(you guys get A LOT of em for free. I live in Puerto Rico and you NEED a car YES OR YES or something to go places. My Okai helps a lot but shit, Im 40y/o, I wanna go faster(arrive faster to places). Not having to be scared if it rains that in the north of puerto rico rains everyday and when it stops is all wet and my Okai is Ipx5 so... yeah. Yo guys are super lucky dudes man, happy for you guys atleast (im no asshole or an envious person). Some people say atleast i can watch them from youtube and (dream a little while awake) just watching you makes them happy, me too but inside it hurts a lot that my country is SO EXPENSIVE and I bet and know Im right, its more expensive than NY. The politicians here are litterally asphixiating us, the 3.5M that is still here(people that dont want to leave their island but people is still leaving in masses). Its part of the US but they have us forgoten. All the shops of every hobby imaginable closed here so we have nothing. Best buy and costco Escooters and Ebikes.
Hope everyone is safe, have a great day from Bayamón, Puerto Rico.
Ps. Ill do the only thing that I can do and Dream about having a hyper scooter someday (not happening in PR and they are legal) fml lol.
Thanks for letting us know about the situation there. I have a friend who lives there most of the year and she was telling me that you can't have the fast ones there. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide you can. There ONE store that I know that sells the Nanrobot n6 52v in 4,500 and the road roner rx7 and rs5 72 volts but at like 2, 3, even 4 times the price. Its crazy ro have to pay double or triple or even more for hobbies here in PR. Cars in PR cost much more, thanks to the Jones act and you need transportation FOR EVERYTHING is crazy and all really bad built.
This chanmel is awesome, atleast I can see how much fun could I be having. I sold my 2 cars cause I had an accident so nasty I dont want to drive for now (it has been 12 years). With the scooter i can evade a lot of street and use them when I need to but yea... Im a little bit shale still to drive (I do it but the least I can). Have a great day, thanks for answering to your fans, awesome channel!
"You wan't this deck to feel really good."

@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Dude, you could totally trick this thing out 😎
Please test teverun supreme 7260r
We will try to get one!
can you test dualtron storm ltd?
We tested that scooter already!
In my opinion u need to go too a race track where there is no traffic
True
They made sure to try to send you a better one. All the ones I’ve been seeing People receive, have terrible qc issues. Overhyped a bit over the lighting when you can add that to any scooter with multiple colors with some Cobb LEDs.
GTR and Inmotion still top dogs 🐕.
Crazy how since all the scooters came out and reviews darrel has been silent. He said this would compare to a rion 😐.
Just the battery on this thing weighs as much as some scooters😳
True! Some day they'll develop batteries with twice the energy density and it will be amazing for scooters! -Paul
an interesting good review.
Thanks so much! Our full review with range test data will be out in a couple weeks. -Paul
Try to lean forward instead of crouching. if thats gonna make any difference in top speed
For accelerating, leaning forward definitely helps. Once I get up to speed the acceleration is very small and I switch to making my wind profile as small as possible. At over 50 mph the difference between crouching and standing up is about 2 to 3 mph for me. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide i meant lean to lay flat with chest as its the biggest surface. like on a bicycle. you lay flat
Scooter speed test should turn into scooter stability tests.
I like the idea, but I’m not sure how to quantify it. There are certain metrics we can get into though, like steering head angle and wheel diameter. -Paul
