I thought exactly the same thing. Recently I had to call an ambulance whilst staying on the phone with my grandmother who was having a stroke (with no one to help her) and it was the most traumatic feeling to not be able to hold her as she'd held on to me when I needed her throughout my entire childhood. It’s true. When you are part of one of “those families”, and you know when you are, there is no denying how lucky or unlucky some people are. It makes it so hard to relate to others and so easy to relate to a few. Everyone has their stuff but some would do anything to trade in their horrifying experience/s for the more common negative experiences.
If you want to talk about this technically I feel like it's the decisions you make. The little decisions that everyone makes right now affects the outcome of future events. Say you got In a car crash. If you didn't go or simply went to a minute later it would have not happenned. And every other car on the road affects his outcome

Sure, it might be harder than it looks. But if that's the HARDEST thing you've done your whole life, then you need to rethink some of your goals. This 39-year-old has never done something more emotionally, mentally, and physically demanding than RUNNING BACKWARDS!
All of the people who didn't say something that had to do with other people i am kinda confused by. Like you are 75 how is the hardest thing you've ever done a marathon? No divorce? No hard times in your relationship? No depression? No hard prolonged time in your job? No hard interaction when someone died? nothing like that???
Honest answer in case you want children: find a nice and rich husband as long as you are young and beautiful. Looks fade and then it will get much more difficult because all the good men will be taken and all the others are divorced and broken/dishonest/unattractive. But it's your choice.
@@PK-px9hu what crap advice. Be your own person. Support yourself. Your mental health and self respect will thank you for it. Your husband will too if marriage is in your life plan. Being dependant on another for stability will cause all sorts of issues. My advice is to make a move in a direction your heart wants is often all the scarier for it. Indecision and stagnation never lead to anything good. You don't have to have the next 5, 10 or 20 years mapped out. You can always course correct. That's called life. Riding predetermined rails isn't life (as comforting a thought as it is). So make those decisions, make a step and see where it takes you.
At 2 I would’ve said my parents divorce. At 5, saying bye to my mom before she went to jail. 5-7, visiting my mom in jail At 11, burying my mom. GOD I WANT TO GIVE MY KIDS A BETTER LIFE
at least you're trying to. people who do hurtful things usually don't realize it and even if it's intentional harm, they usually regret it. have you ever hurt someone without wanting to? how would u feel if that person forgave you?
Tom McCartney honestly though in some countries they don’t know any better life. So many children are so content with their lives in those countries because that’s just what they know.
The hardest thing I have ever done? Is existing in the third world, I once drowned and for like 5 seconds no one noticed but then they did and helped me , sometimes I wish it was more than 5 seconds, like if it was 10 seconds, for a 3 years old kid I would freak out and pass out and no one will notice, there were like 8 people in the pole.
"third world" is an old fashioned and extremely prejudiced term. I live in a "third world" country which unfortunately is the same world as yours and everybody else.
The thing is, even in those countries they aren't all poor and starving. They're the ones you see all the time but there are also mega rich people in those countries that don't care about the ones that are starving and burying each other every day.
Roughshark, angular yikes, it’s scary for people who have a fear of heights and when you get stuck on the line you have to crawl UPSIDE DOWN, for a person with absolutely no arm strength, and a major fear of extreme heights, I’d say zip lining was the scariest thing I’ve ever done in my life
It’s so interesting the different themes of these people’a answers. It really just shows what people value what experiences. Some are physical accomplishments, others are emotional traumas, and others are overcoming fears.
The Best this was filmed in NYC so the response is going to based off of that location. Since it is a major job/career industry, a lot of people move for jobs. It would be the same response if this interview was asked in LA or London
For me it would be beating stage 4 cancer at 18 years old, and crushing that 15% survival rate. Extremely grateful for my amazing doctors and nurses and the support of my parents, grateful to be alive everyday!
My biggest fear is having to bury your parents, siblings, or even your child. I can't imagine how the people who went through that feel, and I hope that they can move forward in life with positivity ❤️❤️❤️
I'm 30 and the hardest thing I've had to do is make peace with some bad choices I've made, and learn that every decision had a reason at the time, even if I would go back and change it now I still wouldn't be who I am today without those decisions
But it wasn't in the kids shows when they were kids, it might have when you were. So not everyone has been considering that option as heavily. :P Check the conspiracy theory docu Shane made. :p

I was addicted to several drugs. I freebased cocaine, took many different pills, smoked a ton of weed and cigarettes and drank like a fish. I've been progressively getting better for the past few years giving up the hard stuff first and more recently everything else. I've been completely sober for 6 months and it was and is still hard to do. I would say though the hardest thing is living when I really really really don't want to. I have no will to live and every single day I think about suicide, but every day so far I haven't done it. That's the hardest thing I've ever done.
For me, pretending that it’s okay that i never get to see my father on his deathbed. I lived with my mom, and a day after i got university acceptance letter, my father is unreachable. And the day after, my brother called me and told me he’s passed away. And when i got to his house, he was already all covered up, and I couldn’t see his face for the last time after not meeting him for a year because my mom told me to not spend my holidays with him. It was really hard. It’s still hard for me. The amount of regrets isn’t measurable.

No hard times in your relationship? No depression? No hard prolonged time in your job? No hard interaction when someone died? nothing like that???
Moral of the story: moving to New York is tough.
22- Deciding what I wanted to do with my future.
So true. It’s so daunting and weighs so much on my mind as a 22 year old.
You are only 22, you still have years to decide what you want to do with the rest of your life
@@GrizzlyTT What if you'll never find the place where you belong and what you wanna do?
@@justheretocommentokdontwan685 tell me about it.........can’t believe this is still my issue @30 -___-
Honest answer in case you want children: find a nice and rich husband as long as you are young and beautiful.

SO TRUE!!!!
Being a single mother of two with very limited income is the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Still struggle every day.
I hope you're doing good now
Keep at it, soon you'll notice all your hard times will be a very distant memory & better times will follow.
That would be very hard to do.
"The hardest thing I have ever done is to learn to forgive my father".
Been there and I'm still trying to but just can't.
at least you're trying to. people who do hurtful things usually don't realize it and even if it's intentional harm, they usually regret it. have you ever hurt someone without wanting to? how would u feel if that person forgave you?
Forgive him for yourself; forgive yourself. He may not deserve your forgiveness, yet ultimately, it will free you. Free yourself 💓
That' s okay too. Do whatever you feel like doing. It' s about you, not him
I felt that 💔

39: Run backwards
Technically running Backwards is moving too
39 is either in denial or one of the luckiest people in the world.
Garden Joy yup
He probably just didn’t think about it as much as the other people
Just imagine if they did this in a 3rd world country. Perspective.
They need to do this!
If math is a problem at 6, you’re in for a world of trouble

I'd like to imagine that the 70 year old woman was on her way to something else and just randomly happened to stumble in on the set.
