Hola que buen video yo tengo una sportster del 2005 y tengo problemas de espalda con el manubrio original , de que medida es el nuevo que le pusiste , y como lo has sentido en el día a día ? muchas gracias por tu tiempo y saludos desde la ciudad de México.
Great video! That helps a lot. Just bought a 2015 1200C. I really don't like that ugly riser and it is going away. In the meantime I need to start collecting parts before I take things apart. Congrats on the Dyna although by now you could be riding something much different.
Does anybody know if I could use the stock speedo with just some shorter risers, or will the speedo hit the tank? I dont plan on doing a tank lift as was done in this video.
Hey there, sorry for the very late response! I haven't been on my own channel in some time. I purchased the speedo mount and risers from a local. They were off of a Sporty 48. If you replace the full riser set-up with 1 in or higher Harley stock risers and get the forward mounting speedo housing/top clamp you can transfer your speedo over and will need the indicator cable that fits that housing. I don't have the numbers written down but I located this info off of a Harley forum. I'll do better to provide these details for future videos.
Hey I either got these from Licks Cycles or JP cycles. Make sure they're dimpled for wires if you're running stock controls. The rubber pieces were about 10 dollars each and the backing plate came with the Speedo mount I bought off craigslist local got about 50 bucks
@@jaydengonzales5792 the harness I picked up off ebay I believe wiith the light bezel. Parts like that can be found on there. I only got the rubber pieces from harley for the Speedo.
I have the same risers that lean towards you .. Can you tell me exactly what I need to get to move the speedometer and risers straight up just like this vid.. you mentioned finding one on craigslist but what exactly do I need , o, and the harness as well please
Hey there Tony, im kicking myself for not having included all part numbers I had found when I did this but they are simply the speedo housing, two rubber housing seals for the speedometer, and the bezel cable all from the Sporty Low OR 883 models of the same year range. You will need a longer brake cable. You can reuse your speedometer, your riser bolts. You will need the stock risers from that low or 883 model as well.
The warning lights bezel is now obsolete and that’s the only part you can’t buy new from Harley. Your best bet is finding everything used on eBay. It’s been a nightmare trying to find everything I need and it’s definitely not cheap. Great video btw! I truly appreciate you posting this.
You don’t need a kit for 8” I have 10” apes on my 09 sportster without any cables all stock just undo the bracket holding the break line from the frame by gas tank it’ll stretch enough
Hey man, just subscribed. The bars look great.I have a 2016 xl1200c. Before i grab a set of 10 inchers, what if i got 8 instead? Do you think i would need the extended break line? Also, would i even get anything from the 8 inch zbars? Side note, i have a windsheild and a bag on it. The original speedo is perfectly out of the way for the bag so hold onto your o.g. speedo.
Great bike man! I have the same one, but 2009. I also hate the stock risers. Can you tell me where you got the risers you used along with the brake line? Thanks in advance, keep the rubber side down!
Thanks man! Sadly I traded her a few weeks after this. Currently rocking a dyna bob! I got the stock riisers and Speedo housing from a local off craigslist. It is the setup for the other models such as the Sporty Low. You have to buy the wiring for that setup too as it's different from the custom. If you shop for a bit you can find them on ebay, craigs, forums. Getting the full setup and for the right price is the trick.
@@beardedtater Thank you man! One more question, when installing new speedometer, did you just plug main indicator cable into where the original was and the data transferred automatically? Or did you have to transfer Speedometer info separately with data link cable?
@@samciccarelli2435 you use the same speedo...it's only a different housing for it and you'd need a different indicator bezel and cable that fits the new housing
Magnum braided line. You'll need to measure for your application and how you want the cables to appear but it should be between 30-40 inches if I remember correctly.
Hi man! thanks for the video...I'm looking for the same instrument support for my 883, but here in Italy it's very hard to find one. Can you suggest me a web site where I can buy it? Thanks!
Hey. What lengh throttle cable and clutch cable did you need to get for this?cheers

How did you adjust the odometer reading on new speedometer ?
Hey there, you would reuse your original speedometer. Only the housing and riser set up is different.
ive just done that same riser swap on mine. that wiring harness with the right dummy lights is $309 here in australia! i couldnt believe it.
😬 steep price!
What bars are these
Hey! Do you think the wire harness would be long enough to use with 9 1/2" risers?

Where did you get the license plate bracket? Thanks for this video.
I missed this comment, sorry! I can't recall exactly..it was a flush mount that fit my model. They're pretty easy to find online.
