Seriously man, I had a lot of googling before finding out what tf "dimpled" bars means (in English) :) I found out eventually but if only I came across your video in that time - you explained it better in less than 10 seconds than many other "bike websites". Good video, useful!
That was VERY helpful! Thank you!! I just bought a 2014 breakout and need to swap from drag bars to bullnose bars because Im kinda small, and the position of the drag bars won’t be comfortable for me, shop wanted $800 for the labour alone never mind parts, I really appreciate this video!
I have a 2004 sportster 1200 custom and I want to swap the bars and riser. I think the shortest riser I can get is one inch and I want drag bars. I went to a HD place and they told me I'd need new cables. My thought was like what you said. If I'm dropping it I don't need new ones. Anyway they wanted $1500 just for labor so I'll be doing it myself. Any advice or link that covers what I want to do?
You may have a little excess, but if you’re dropping it, you shouldn’t need new, unless they’re looping a lot and you want a different look. I’d suggest just looking for other similar videos on UA-cam or maybe try revzilla, they seem to have some good informational videos for some installs
Guilherme B. Walter probably, but I’d imagine you might need a different mounting bracket, if you can’t find an HD one, maybe try looking at jpcycles.com.
What kind of risers do you have? I want to install drag bars (with extensions) on my '03 100yr anniversary...but don't want to lose the plaque or 'dash lights'
Out of all the over-complicated garbage on here this video is a straight forward, no nonsense upload.
Many thanks from a biker in Scotland.
Thank you! Ride on!
Really helpful by focusing on all the important stuff in only 6 minutes!

Thought that blanket was a sweet paint job
Real good job with this video.
What lube did you use under the throttle grip?
Just any kind of automotive or motorcycle lubricant. Chain lubricant seems to work well for me.
Do you have a video of changing those chrome hand control buttons?
@@makariussulit sorry I don’t at the moment, but if I do that kind of modification in the future to another bike
I’ll try and document it

Very helpful.
What did you do to thr front break reservoir, why you didnt showed that?
Is there a way of putting the speedometer in front of the gear indicator like in the Sportster XL 1200 CB?
Guilherme B. Walter probably, but I’d imagine you might need a different mounting bracket, if you can’t find an HD one, maybe try looking at jpcycles.com.
Good video
Just installed these exact same grips on my 99 fatboy
I'm wondering bout a 03 springer with factory buckhorns, how tall can you go without replacing lines?
I’m not sure difficult to calculate without seeing it in person
Where did you get that top mount clamp (for risers) with the indicator cluster lights in it from??
Dean Jayo I believe it came stock with the bike, it’s a 2003 100th anniversary edition sportster 1200C.
