    Thanks, Will. Congrats on your win! I really appreciate your time describing your build and the challenges you encountered. Being kinda new to the model-making hobby it's good to know that we are always zigging and zagging with the build and learning techniques and strategies for each build that works for the builder and the model on the table in front of you. Cheers.

    - When you're so starved for Will's content that you'll even watch a 1/48 pzl p11c video.

      Iconic aircraft. Probably the best fighter in the world in the early 1930's. First to shoot down an Axis machine....Not everyone is into endless Spitfires.

      It's not really about the subject but more about the model for me. For instance, actual full scale vintage agricultural machinery like a tractor may not be nearly as exciting to most people as aviation, but it sure as heck makes for a much more interesting scale model subject to me. I get the historical significance of the PZL P11C, but how interesting is this model really?

      @@IllusionSector how is it not interesting? its a model of an iconic fighter with a very unique wing

    • @IllusionSector
      @IllusionSector 2 місяці тому

      @@JerryP7a I'm sure it strikes many hobbyists's fancy, whom I'm happy for. To me, on the other hand, the historic significance of a model counts for little to nothing if the kit itself is unexciting. A lot of people are fascinated with the titanic, but not everyone would be over the moon for a tiny single-piece Titanic keychain. (I know that's an extreme analogy, but hopefully it makes sence).

    I could not initially see the corrugations and thought maybe I was wrong about the aircraft's construction as I had only built the old (65--66) Revell kit when it came out, but after seeing your closeups I thought "Yeah, I'm getting one". Well done and always glad to see your work. In addition to I.P.M.S. National judging, in 2001 I was a trainee following the more experienced judges. The were two times I found things wrong with particular models in alignment and seams that the regular judges missed. However, there was one model that they were going to discount because they were not familiar with a particular detail that turned out be right which I was able to show which allowed the contestant to receive I believe a second place award. After that I have always wondered how many builders were kicked out of placing because judges didn't know what they were looking at. To their credit, the judges I was working with were willing to listen to the "New guy" and I hope everything worked out well.

    BTW. I never understood how most of WW2 fligth fans ignoring those planes. It was a first plane to fight against mighty german Luftwaffe and fighting hard. A heroic machine with is mostly forgotten and ignored. Its on my shelf proudly next to Bf 109 E1.

    Will, 1/32 IBG PZL P-11c detail, rivets and wings texture is even better than Arma!…however, the kit is much more complicated. Your antenna wiring is masterpiece. Cheers from 🇵🇱😉

    You've done a smashing on that one mate. The model is a bargain so I think I'll pick one up but I'll be happy to produce something half as good as yours. I've built a few of their 1)72 planes and they are great.

    Tip for other builders, only the flight leader even had a radio so, optional item putting aerial wires. At least for Polish aircraft.

    Great video and build Will.
    I personally don't favour the 'ipms style,' it gets a touch anodine and unfinished to me.
    As an experiment it proves a point but please screw ipms medals and dont go to the dark side.
    I like it when you go to town and create stories with weathering; Phantom, Spitfire etc. They have so much soul, love and mastery of the craft in them.

    Interesting aircraft, really neat model of it. I’m going to get the kit. I love your weathered aircraft models and all but this one is pretty appealing in all its simplicity. Shouldn’t have steak everyday, right? 😊

    I know it probably will never happen, but I would love to see what could you do with P.11 in 32nd (made by IBG). If wit would be made with not IPMS in mind ;). Any way - great looking model!
