I love hearing your racing experiences, your passion really comes through. My mum was South African, so I've been there a few times and love the country, though was shocked at some of the racism. A highlight of my life was being in Cape Town the day Mandela was released and being near the front in the square to hear him speak on his release; what an occasion!

Hey Lee, I was wondering if you could do a video on the best way to structure a 20 mile week, a 25 mile week, and a 30 mile week, for those of us who are intermediates. I was wondering if you could show us the distance and type of run (with effort) for each day and then explain how you would progress from there. Thanks!

You are talking complete nonsense about being warned not to go to supermarkets or only when blacks realise you aren't South African do they them become non-agressive. I'm 42, and I have lived here my whole life. That is a blatant lie. Also, no one was trying to kill you on the roads while running. Absolute bullshit.

To be fair Lee , my experience in S.A was similar to yours , i admit a long time ago 1999 , but once locals realized i was English and not Afrikaans things got easier , totally understanderble given the history .

What utter bloody nonsense this man spouts... I've lived in South Africa all my life and I don't think I've ever heard someone make a more ridiculous assessment of modern-day South Africa and how people treat each other. If you felt like people were treating you differently because you are white, I can only assume it's because you view the world through a lens of victimhood. Our perception is very often not based in reality. When people segregate along racial lines at an event or gathering it has far more to do with culture than race. And then on Comrades Day everyone is in unity because the unifying event has nothing to do with individual culture but rather everyone's culture. Comrades is entrenched in every South African. Yes, there are exceptions to the rule but for the vast majority of South Africans we get along great in daily living. So disappointed in this video.
