    Thanks for all the tips. Love the one about the seconds seeing the runners on route. I’m planning my race that if I see my seconds, it’s a bonus! My nutrition will be at club tables along the route. Last year I didn’t see my girlfriend once. She said traffic was hectic and she kept missing me by literally a few minutes each time. I think the 2 stop rule will work well. Maybe the first one being around Drummond. Thanks a million. Hopefully getting my back to back, and Sub 10!

    Good tips! As for waking up, is it really necessary though to wake up that early when starting in Durban given start is 5:30?

      Recommended that you arrive at the start at least 1 hour early. Sometimes I stay over close to the finish venue and then use the bus to the start - in this case I need to wake up very early. You need to plan in some extra time for possible life events... e.g. your Uber driver needs to get fuel, congestion getting to the start venue, flat tire, road closures. Comrades for me is too big to take the risk with a just-in-time-arrival at the start.
