Choose Just One!

If you could only take one rock or fossil from a Lake Michigan beach, what would you choose? I limited myself to one rock from each of four Lake Michigan beaches. Which one would you choose? What rock or fossil do you value the most?

If I can’t find a good Petoskey stone then fossil soup is my favorite!

Fossil soup is wonderful. My son and grandson and I have a geology tour planned later this summer like the 17 beaches trip we took last summer. My grandson wanted to get one more trip in before he starts college in the fall.

I was also going to mention Petoskey stones. I have several and love them. I have a few small decorative dishes filled with "pretty rocks" in my home- many from Michigan, Benzie county area. 👍
