    Brought mine in shop last month after trying to get an appointment for it that wasn't over a month wait in Vegas. So I went to Mesquite Ford and they fixed it while I was in TX.
    Mine would sometimes get stuck in 10th after coming to stop also loss of 10th after malfunction light.
    26k miles
    So, now has the newly designed CDF drum and FINALLY shifting properly.

    This might seem off topic, but have you had any Ford vehicles break down during a test drive at your time at the dealership?

      Yes, but I've ended up able to limp them back. I've got a video on here of a black explorer that quit moving in an intersection and it's on camera

    So dealer put a brand new trans in my 2022 that has the updated cdf hub. Last week right after it hit 1000 miles the flare came back on 3rd shift’s perfect but every time it sits for 30 mins it flares on the first shift out of 3rd. Took it in today and they did the SSM 51649 and said that was all they could do. Whats your opinion? Some people say its learning some say it will go away after a few thousand miles?

      I would find it hard to believe the cdf bushing shifted after 1,000 miles on a brand new 10r80 transmission. Even if it had the old style drum. I think the best thing to do is bring it back to the dealer who installed it. Since I can't drive it that's the best I can offer. Unless you join my Facebook or discord group and upload a video of the issue. Happy to help

    What’s a better option for these f350 transmission , the torque shift 10 speed or the torque shift G 10 speed transmission?

    So mine will flare on the first start up then never to it again until the truck sits. Its always 3rd to 4th or 3rd to 5th any ideas?

      I suspect a shifted CDF drum bushing. When that shifts, its typical to only see the issue when the transmission is cold.

      @champinsoccer9 Рік тому

      @@BigBensCarsAndCycles that's so weird tho. I wonder why it only does it cold and never does it again when warmed up. You'd think if it shifted it would do it regardless of temperature.. it's so confusing.. I wonder what makes the bushing shift

      @@cajun869 August 2022 is when they started using the new ones in the 10r80. On the 10R140, the TSB is only for a 2020. So on the 10r140, I cannot give a precise answer at this time.

      @@BigBensCarsAndCyclesOK. Sorry, I forgot to mention I have the 10R140. What I am experiencing is shifting from park into forward or reverse sometimes it will produce a big "clunk" and a sight delay before completing the shift. It doesn't give me warm feelings of excitement when that happens😤. Thanks for the help

    • @BigBensCarsAndCycles
      @BigBensCarsAndCycles  Рік тому

      They had aftermarket equipment wired into the network causing the error in the video. I removed that and was able to do the Break-In procedure

    Why does a tranny flare? 3rd to 4th on mine feels like it cuts power for a second then comes back. Sometimes 5th to 6th. Very weird

    • @BigBensCarsAndCycles
      @BigBensCarsAndCycles  Рік тому +2

      The 10 speed will flare into 4th and 6th when the cdf bushing shifts. You'll need an overhaul with a new cdf drum. A tranny flares when the clutch pack partially loses line pressure and slips the clutches. Thanks for watching, please subscribe!
