Remastered / Synced to circulating Soundboard Audio Source
SBD Audio source is missing "Been A Son" and "Stain" - used AUD1 Audio.
One 50second video dropout during the opening song (School). Some video missing between songs. Used still shots from the video to cover those gaps.
There is a 720p/50 frames per second option (50fps is simulated). If the higher frame rate (simulated) looks weird use 480p to watch in the normal PAL 25fps. UA-cam encodes better w/ the higher frame rate. Video is sources from a heavily compressed AVI (all that is in circulation).
Free fan media.
December 2015 -@Copperpot5 I'm always looking for uncirculated Nirvana Video/Audio. If you taped Nirvana back in the day or happen to have any uncirculated Nirvana media please shoot me a message or email. Thx! Email: Jaycopperpot at gmail dot com)
what blows me away is how accurate Kurt can play guitar whilst rocking out so hard. flawless...
Was thinking exactly the same
What blows me away is that they had enough clout to go on a tour of Europe 3 years before anyone outside of the PNW knew who they were.
A pimp Named Slickback dude they were on Sub Pop a very popular underground label and were well known in underground scenes around the world. Bleach sold 40 thousand copies in America in 89 and 90 .
@@65neu52 I was living in seattle and heavily involved with this scene in those years. They were well known in the clubs around WA. and OR. they werent unknowns, but i think you're overestimating their fanbase at the time by a lot. Also, subpop was on the verge of closing when Nirvans broke and brought exposure to their label, but dont take my word for it, there is an interview with Poneman or Pavitt on here where they talk about how they were on their last legs and about to go under.
A pimp Named Slickback Yea sub pop were on the verge that has nothing to do with a bands support and following look at every single Nirvana show and the crowds knew the songs had the merch and grew every show. love buzz was released a year before this gig and Bleach was out all summer, 6 months before this show. I know the scene yeh it wasn’t major label era but Nirvana had fans internationally dude this is freakin France in 1989 and it’s rocking at this gig. My only point is people trying to discredit and take away from all the work kurt and nirvana did in the underground for years before they broke as if they were completely unknown and had no die hard support. They always did.
As much as Dave Grohl is an absolute prodigy, Chad definitely deserves a big piece of the credit for Nirvana. Has a kind of jazzy vibe and pretty unconventional sounding.
Walter *unpopular opinion” drums are just drums sorry
Chad Channing was a TRILLION times better than Dave and I tell you why,Dave is a drummer for a heavy metal band, not for a grunge band! Most folks never figured that out,and plus that,Dave was a member of a hardcore punk band before Nirvana...Chad Channing has a more grunge vibe,he was Nirvana's best drummer.Dale Crover was also amazing!
Dave Groul, a prodigy hilarious!
Andrei Wayne Andrew Bruce Wayne Tataru lmao you can’t give Dave shit for being a “metal drummer” and then say dale crover is amazing
Do you know what prodigy means?
Watching Kurt's flannel change colors under the lights is the best special effect I have ever seen.
Kaylista Kaylista pretty kewl
the physical incarnation of the 90’s
"Thanks alot"
ikr
He must have been dripping after these shows haha.

Billo1281 You're welcome sir :)
ShyLesbian this should have thousands of likes
yeah real jazzy 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Thanx & you have nice nickname ^___^
2 years before Nirvana hit it big time, 41:10 , here's one of the few fans that can actually claim to have liked them enough to know the words to their song.
An in France, no less
Just love these Bleach era shows. It's hilarious when fans shout for Johnny B Goode. And I'm sure from Kurt's response that he is thinking "what the hell??!, they really want us to play that", haha. And George Thorogood, bad to the fucking bone, that would be awesome to hear, haha. Obviously seen this many times before, but a lot better to watch with better audio :)
love your guitar covers man! I've learnt some nirvana riffs from your videos. So thank you!:) I wish i was born when Nirvana was on tour in Europe.
Definitely funny. Kurt doesn't give in, has that way of chastising the crowd.
yeah thanks for your video ! help me a lot for learning guitar :P
Pls stop i beg
never thought id run into you here wow nice
I swear Chad's such an underrated drummer
Nothing against Dave
but he made Nirvana more commercial
And that shouldn't have goddam happened
lol not really thats just the bands progression
Wait, how did Dave contribute to that? I believe it had more to do with how Nevermind was produced (Plus cultural aspects as well)
yeah, Dave Grohl may be one of the great rock drummers, but when Chad was on, his groove was great.
Rope Dsbm you’re an idiot, Kurt made that happen the drums changed nothing but how much better there rhythm section sounded. I hate when people defend chad Kurt hated his drumming and if anything his opinion matters the most when it comes to his own band lmao
Wow that Polly version is amazing!
Yeah new age Polly is too fast but this is good
These are some of the best sounding versions I've ever heard! So clean. So much energy. Big Cheese is AMAZING! And the double kick drum adds an extra fire and freshness that just breathes new life into these songs. The band is on point and jamming their asses off. Wonderful job restoring this show. I love it!
I agree, Ryan. This is the best version of Big Cheese I have heard. Great show!
The best performance ❤
pretty sure thats a floor tom roll, not a double kick drum

MERCI !!!!!!!
I love the style of music Nirvana was playing on the first album, their style changed so much on the second album. First album was really RIFFY and heavy. It sounded more Metalish, it was heavier, angrier and darker.
Each album holds its shrine. I hear what your saying. I love Bleach. Will prob always be my fav
In utero pretty much has the best of both worlds
Thedude 21 perfect Blend of both
TheFutureKing Incesticide is my favorite
It was grunge I.e. mudhoney. Tad.
Wow Chad used doublebass in scoff. That's metal
no dale was better
of course, grunge is mixture of sludge metal and punk rock
u obviously dont play drums....he really sucks....just compare how weak school sounds compared to how they played it later in 91 with Dave...so much more energy.....even Dale was better....he kicked ass....chad really lacked....cobain made the right move
he does so on the actual album as well
BuMp2RuN Exactly !! Dave has a louder way of playing, mixed with a motherfucking technic. Chad's way of drumming seems confused, compared to him.
The sound is surprisingly good in my opinion, especially Kurts vocals. Its very clear especially being from the late 80's. I really Appreciate the upload. Everyday I am thankful that there is a platform like UA-cam to not only preserve, but also to be able to show amazing concerts like this. Especially for a younger generation that might not have even been born when Nirvana was around. Fortunately I was around to see them live once in Chicago, I obviously didn't know at the time it would be my one and only chance to see them. You always think, great show, I cant wait until they come back next year.
Chris J Thats right, thanx Internet ! 20years before we had to buy a bootleg vidéo vhs at 50bucks... Great sound, Nice clear vocals.
And then they added copyright; genius 😡
Chris J C H I C A G O ! Least u got to c em bro
Chris J In mid 1989, I think it was, Nirvana came to play in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, just outside of Pittsburgh where I grew up. They played at a very small club called the Sonic Temple. I was going to go and then thought I’ll see them next time they come to my town, most definitely at a larger club, I bet. I very distinctly remember thinking those exact thoughts. It was unbelievable. I loved the band at the time and still do. I did not go never got another chance to see them. I am regretting it still
Your very lucky to have been to a show I wish I was alive during that time
I saw Nirvana on this tour in Lawrence KS, USA. Nobody had heard of them or barely even Sub Pop at that time, but, over the next 40 minutes, in little more than a two-car garage, their savage and relentless performance, along with total demolition of the stage, left everyone drained and confounded. What did we just see?! And did I mention they were the opening act? After realizing that the crowd was spent, the headliners, played 15 minutes and left.
We drove to Kansas City the next day and bought everything "Nirvana" we could find. There was no doubt this band was going to change music and the world.
BK
Best part, "This was off our new EP, " Been a Son"
It's so cool to see people in the 80's singing along to the songs at 37:08
Nirvana навсегда в моём сердце !))Nirvana is forever in my heart !)) greetings from Belarus!
Perfect sound.. perfect rock band.. NIRVANA the best!!!
Holy shit this is legendary footage right here. Thank you for uploading
THANKS MAN FOR ALL THE WORK YOU PUT IN TO FIX ALL THESE NIRVANA SHOWS I AM SURE KURT WOULD APPRECIATE IT IF ITS GONNA BE OUT THERE AT LEAST LET IT BE AUDIBLE
Kevin Gill - I'm sure if Kurt was alive he would kill himself.
toad Why Not?
Xx xX lmao wow
How is this NOT the top comment!!!!!
This is unbelivable! It's so smooth and the sound is soo good, thx man! :D
This is just Awsome seeying Kurt in the early days.
Waouw!
What a great souvenir !
For sure when I entered this club on that December evening I had never heard of Nirvana before.
Actually it wasn't a club, but the youth/community center close to my place, and the Fahrenheit team was more or less weekly running there alternative rock concerts in the basement !
This was loud and good!!!
I was always standing first row front and I'm happy to see my stupid teenage short haired head on this video.
Keep on rocking
fab dofasol vous y etiez? :)
Awesome!!!
God bless you my friend. Happy you were able to see this show.
Was that you at 41:10?
Notre guitariste etait là-bas aussi.. Le monde est petit!!
41:08 that guy singing negative creep in the crowd is a true nirvana fan... dude, it's 1989, they were in france for an european tour with TAD, their names aren't even in the big titles on the posters
Nirvana Is Punk Rock, Forever !
They're new wave
Punk attitude
No
no.
nirvana is a band that you can not pigeonhole into a single genre, I could say that they never belonged to a particular genre
cesar martinez salazar rock? Lmao
un chef d'oeuvre! leur premier passages en france! genial! merci!
On y etait :))
@@TheUnwritersOfficialChannel la chance j'ai 14 ans et j aurais trop aimé les voir
Bleach has always been my favourite Nirvana album since I bought it on CD in 91, so to see and hear such great live versions of these songs is really something. It's particularly interesting to see things like the early live version of Breed over 2 years before it appeared on Nevermind.
Thanks for posting this show!
Fav live Nirvana vid. Kurt was really channeling some otherworldly force that night.
He had an amazing growly rispy out of this world voice for a small, child-like dude
Rafael Zengo ;)
Merci pour ce joyau. Chad Channing est impressionnant sur Floyd the barber. Et la version de Polly est géniale
89 and the decade's nearly over - if they only knew what was just ahead... Nirvana love 4ebr
They didn't know at all and better like that.. Sad, thinking of that period, we were at the show (Yes).. They were more than natural, genuine.. That was Nirvana.. WE miss that time, period.
I don't know how or what the fuck it took to restore this, but thank you, it's like being at a show at a small venue exactly as it was. Thank The God which may or may not exist and whom we can't comprehend, for the recording from the board. If you weren't in a band in the 90's, this is pretty much how it was.
42 years old today and a huge fan like us all since 91, but must say this concert is the best ive seen on youtube, pure nirvana, kurt was enjoying himself and big cheese just proves it............ bring back the late 80s early 90s and good music........
It's so great to see nirvana in the underground and in the mainstream. Literally two world. It's really crazy that the band existed only for 7 years. Such a short journey from underground and sleeping in a car to the world-class band that changed the mainstream and left mark on history
Couldn’t have said it any better, yesterday was Kurt’s birthday, hope buddy had a good birthday wherever he is. Wish he was still around
It's the little dudes in the front row vibin and singing all the lyrics to Negative Creep for me.
You've done so much for the fans uploading this one. Thanks .. Greatly appreciated
Thank you not just for this one but all the remastered version of nirvana playing amazing shows
That's the first time I hear kurt thanking the audience
'cause french are very classy and elegants
He did it all the time.
All the time....he did it on “Unplugged”
ladyblazinsoulz he did a few times at Reading fest too
Yeah he did it quiet a bit
Today 25 years we lost him
La MusicaTe Extraña !!!!!!!!!!
Gracias por este recital !!!!!
Love Buzz sounds sick!
One of their best songs!!!!
Thank you so much for posting this wonderful video! Louder! Play it louder the crowd says! Awesome!
Absolutely incredible. Thanks for putting this together.
Beautiful drumming
I miss this kind kind of music. Most of what we have now is too much, forcing to look good.
today leaders of big music companies dont support people with negative atitude in songs, they want control us, not us to be wild rebels fighting for your own, you want to live? be follower, otherwise die, nobody cares!!! we live in hypocrite society a long time(always we lived), its easy to turn your back when u live in high standard country but rest of world is fucked up a lot with earning no money when u look that shity society and u cant turn your back anywhere because that anywhere dont exist. im amazed that nobody want fight against that!!!! proves that people are sheeps and only shepard(jesus) is D.E.A.D!!!!!!!!!!
@@vilimbubas1302 everything is conformity and complacent
Frisbi Morta Is good classic hard trio
Most of what we get now is just crap
AND EVERYONE LOOKS THE SAME!
I wish I could gone to at least one of their concerts!!!
This is a great video I keep watching it over and over again
LOVE THIS SHOW DEFINITELY A FAVORITE AND THE SOUND IS GREAT!
This is awesome thank you for uploading for all of us just greatness
4:30 FUCK YEAH CHAD
God bless your soul for uploading this! Thank you!
Wow I thought I'd seen the best live shows around 89-91 already, nope, this takes the cake, f'ing great show! With Chad drumming it's so METAL! 🤘
Chad was definitely on with this show, he had his moments , wasn’t very consistent but this was great 🤘🏼
Thank you Copperpot5. I can appreciate your work as both a fan of Nirvana and an amateur sound engineer. Kudos
Great view of his guitar work. Which, out of the hundreds of these vids out there, this one stands out. Thanks!
Excellent work on the re-mastering! There are sections that demonstrate nearly a binaural ambiance! I loved it! I almost thought my speakers were on at the same time as using headphones.
Amazing!
Masterpiece
Magic. The best upload I have seen of this band.
I love this rocking version of Polly
That's why I came here, idk what it is...maybe it's because a little distorted instead of acoustic but he plays it clean at other shows but this is my favorite live version of Polly
Yostel there are so many good Polly versions. The Nevermind version, unplugged version, New wave polly, but my all time favorite is the one in from the muddy banks of the whishkah, where he starts screaming the 3rd part:
" Polly says her back hurts !!!!! She's just as bored as me !!!!!!" Etc etc
Oh man, that NIRVANA live album "From the muddy banks of the Whishkah(the Aberdeen river actually)I've listenned to it on my car stereo plenty of times! You're right,Polly there was played in an awesome way!!!Miss Kurt and the band so much
love this polly version
must be tough to remaster ..thank you for posting
esto es lo maravilloso del internet, gracias x subir

Early Nirvana.... Awesome true to the record rock show.
Excelent audio remastered! Congratulations!
AWESOME job. Cool seeing the sample in the beginning.
where do people find these vids. this is so awesome
Original Misfit all of them are on internet archive and look way better than this
@@wedontlikenoneofyou the sound is where it's at
Incredible tight drumming!
Thanks for upload that show. Wonderful!!
In 1989 I was constantly grounded for getting into and causing all kinds of trouble so when my cousin tried to sneak me out of the house to go see Nirvana at the Pyramid in NYC in ‘89 we got caught by my pops and he chased my cousin off and I missed the show. I finally got to see them on July 23 1993 at Roseland NYC. I’m still bummed that I missed out on a ‘89 show so I love seeing shows posted from that year. So I thank you
que gran recuerdo de esa epoca ..pura diversion
Bleach is one of my favorite albums. Chad did a good job
Thank you so much for the amazing work restoring this peace of History. From France, for ever grateful
thank you so much fo uploading all these great vids- great work man
