- This healthy concoction has been backed by science to burn fat and help you lose weight, while helping you get deep sleep. Drink 30-45 minutes before going to bed. Getting good quality sleep is essential to our health and also to maintain a healthy weight. Recipe:
- 8 ounces of water
- 1 Chamomile tea bag
- 1/2 lemon squeezed- or 1 TBSP lemon juice
- 1 TBSP Apple Cider Vinegar (with the mother)
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. raw honey
1. Boil water and steep tea bag for 10-15 minutes
2. Add additional ingredients
3. Drink warm or cold

I drank this last night and it worked for my sleep. I slept all night till 9 am this morning. Good thing I go in till 3 today .. it’s been years since I last slept more than 10 hrs straight 😂😅 it made my body feel relaxed . I put stevia instead of the honey because I’m fasting . We mix our honey and cinnamon into a paste 1st, then put the hot/warm stuff in. It helps mix the cinnamon more effectively!😋

@@ericaquick7157 hey I don’t see anyone else responding so I’m just giving you my own take on what has helped me. I have a number of autoimmune disorders and other things that have caused a lot of weight gain for me either from hormones, or steroids etc.. finally after suffering with over 50 lbs of weight gain my cardiologist and rheumatologist told me what to do. It works!! They can’t just tell you because of the way the medical system is which is ridiculous! As I don’t want medicine I want to fix what’s wrong! Ugh anyway I guess after knowing them so long they finally trusted me to give me some advice. This tea absolutely 100 percent works and you can also look up banana tea for sleep on here and any recipe is amazing for sleep and anxiety. It’s an amazing thing those bananas! Besides this I took their advice and switched to a plant based diet and added fresh legumes (soak for three days in a big bowl on the counter) it removes the stuff our body can’t break down that causes gas. Let me tell you my bloat went away instantly eating this way and I lost 12 lbs my first 2 weeks!! Finally! I even noticed a huge difference in the way I felt. Hi Sandy, I can honestly say that your tea does work!! I have taken myself off the amnitryptalene sleeping pills and been replacing it with your wonderful sleep aid. Not exactly sure about the weight loss results, but I did happen to lose 2 lbs in 2 wks!!! I also have been drinking fruit smoothies in the morning * Gluten-Free. Salads or something light for lunch and dinner is whatever I feel like cooking (G.F. of course.) and I am taking a bit less than I normally would and slowly making the portions smaller and smaller until I am at the proper portion size I need to be eating. Will try to continue to keep you updated

I make this recipe as an ice tea with the same ingredient. I mix all the ingredients well in a blender and store in a pitcher in the refrigerator. I make enough for an entire week. I have one cup before my last meal of the evening at least one hour before bed. Easy!

This is a great concoction, but two potential problems with the timing on it: you cannot use this at night, if you are intermittent fasting, it would totally break a fast because of the honey. Also, for anyone with serious,
GERD issues, you need a whole lot more than 30 minutes to let the acids settle. Especially because honey is a major proponent of acid as well (at least with me!). So, I will drink this concoction immediately after my last meal, rather than right before bed. That way it doesn’t break your fast, doesn’t cause acid reflux, and you still get all the benefits. 👍🏻

@@nelidahampton9475, sorry for the confusion. I now drink this about 20 minutes before my first meal of the day or right after dinner, still in my eating window. The ingredients are so healthy for the body, but it will break your fast. I also leave out the honey now.

@@mimi-pe8um, since I am intermittent fasting, I now drink this about 15-20 minutes before I break my fast with food. It helps get the digestive juices going and good probiotics in my stomach. Since I drink during the day, I don't use chamomile tea, because I don't want to be tired. Honey can easily be left out of the drink. It just helps cut the bitterness of the acids, if you don't like that taste.

Apple cider vinegar does wonders, I add it in with my fiber supplement before bed as we do not get enough fiber from food in our diets, gotta keep things moving! Great video Sandy!!

You're welcome. I hope it is helpful for you. Really you can drink this any time of the day, I just use chamomile tea if its evening time because of the calming effects. I use green tea if I want to drink it in the morning.
Interesting. I make a tea with ACV, lemon "ice" cubes (from blending a full lemon including peel) turmeric, ginger, honey, and moringa which is very common here in the Philippines..

If you have acid reflux, this is NOT for you. Instead, drink a warm version of this in the morning, take a 30-minute hike before you start your day, and eat only from 12:00 - 6:00 p.m. You will lose weight faster.
I think there is something to do with age and not sleeping as well as we get older. I hit 50 and struggle a little more. The chamomile is so calming on my body. Another tea that has really helped me sleep is the Yogi "bedtime" tea.

Sunday after watching your video I went to Walmart and happy to say they had all the right things to buy. Then I measured my fat and bloated belly right before I drank my first one Monday night 51 inches. Then drank Tuesday nights and now its Wednesday morning and I measured my belly again and By God! I measured 49 inches! wow! Thank you Sandy! I will be continuing this and give a follow up.
It's been one more month . . . I am interested to know, have you lost more inches? I have a serious spare tire and am looking for something that works. Thank you.

This is a great recipe and video. Thanks for sharing. Here's a cool tip, when juicing a lemon by hand, do it over a strainer so the seeds stay out. Also, maybe if you put the cinnamon through a fine mesh strainer and use a small whisk to incorporate it into the drink it might blend better. A whisk is the best when it comes to getting all of your ingredients incorporated.

Yes! This will break your fast but, when I made this video...I wasn't intermittent fasting. You can see from the video, I had no weight I needed to lose.But then hormones happened, lol. So now I drink this about 20 minutes before my first meal. Or it can be easily drank after the last meal of the day. I do omit the honey and if it's during the day I use green tea instead of chamomile.
Hi, I've tried a few different remedies from other suggestions. Just came across you tonight Sandy, like what I hear. I have DR, you know that big preggers belly, like 22 years after I had my daughter, so I need to lose belly fat and tone up the inside bits. Thanks for your suggestions I will certainly give it my best shot. Oh my! I tried this back in April and I've been doing it and I've seen major results guys, I highly recommend it when May came around I lost a lot of weight and my belly was almost completely flat. I make mine by making my water very hot in my tea pot. I place my honey and cinnamon in my tea cup until they dissolve. I put my tea bag in next. I put my vinegar and lemon in next and by the time my tea is cool enough to drink, it is perfect. I enjoy every sip with my straw. It's really good this way! 😁

Also use a spoon of lemon zest in the beginning (its packed with nutrients) when the water is hot with the chamomile and cover it with plastic wrap for 15 minutes before adding the lemon juice and the rest of the ingredients.. So the heat will not destroy the vitamins and minerals..

Intermittent fasting......up to 23 hours a day. 1 hour eating window. Try to reduce carbs and refined sugar to the lowest amounts possible. That's the answer and good luck :)
The intermittent fasting is good, but make it so you have a meal in evening or you can't sleep from hunger. I do a 18hr fast 6 eating window. THE BEST thing for me was the free CRONOMETER app. It really holds you accountable and is super easy to use. I do the biggest 2lb/week deficit(1000cal a day) and set lifestyle at sedentary even though I work out. But even a 1lb(500 cal/day) deficit will be successful. Basically it gets your mind programmed on what is good and bad to hit your macro goals(protein/carb/fat percent) I do a 40% protein and 30/30% for fat and carbs but you can change it to maybe 35/35/30 for a woman who isn't trying to retain or build muscle along the journey. Staying in caloric deficit is the key

It won't work that quickly. Natural methods take longer. But these ingredients have wonderful health benefits. Apple cider vinegar alone helps regulate blood sugar. Lemon juice helps detox the liver... and I could go one and on with every ingredient.
For additional health benefits, use Ceylon cinnamon from your health food store as not all cinnamons are equal and pay the extra for local honey (honey made within a 30-50 mile radius of your home)!

Ceylon cinnamon is all I use. I even put it in my decaf coffee.
I only buy raw honey
I concur. The Chinese Cinnamon has too much courmarin which is said to be hard on the liver under heavy use. Raw honey does not like too much heat; just warm enough for dissolution is the right way to preserve its nutritional content; otherwise, if it's too hot, you'll be left with just sugars.
I use cinnamon sticks and brew. The longer it sits the sweeter it tastes.

Honey is just like sugar and will spike the insulin making it impossible to lose weight for next 12 hours I recently dropped over 100 lbs in about 8 months and skin went back tight from daily walking or jogging and cutting all sugar and carbs, fasting will also cut the insulin I would fast 16 hours then in 8 hour period eat low or no carb food. fasting daily has many health benefits on it's own but will speed weight loss.

My dietician told me my metabolism is low and I have to eat 5 times a day every 2 - 4 hours.. So I have to be eating at least at a 10 hour window.. So does it work if we fast 14 hours? I menopaused and gained so much weight.. Even I was skinny my whole life..

I have the same mix, but I add a half teaspoon of turmeric to my brew. And I prefer it warm.

That is nice to hear. Thank you! Now, this drink will break a fasted state. I made this way before I started IF. So now I drink this about 20 minutes before my first meal to regulate blood glucose before food, or I drink it after dinner. I drink this about 4 times a week.
Not to worry. With the upcoming food shortages and inflation, there will be a lot of skinny people.

I've tried the lemon/honey/vinegar water in the morning and it didn't sit well on an empty stomach. It burned. I've never thought about trying it at bedtime. But I definitely need something like this. 🤗
I can't drink it on an empty stomach in the morning either unless I am going to eat very soon. The ingredients definitely work. Science has shown that. Try it at night and see if your stomach feels better. If it has been a long time since supper, you may want to have a small snack with it.

I make something similar, while the tea is steeping in the hot water, that's when I put the honey in so it can dissolve.

I tried this for the first time last night and this morning I woke up and felt good. Usually I wake up feeling tired and sluggish. I'm going to continue this remedy and I will keep you posted on my results.

Thanks for this Sandy. I've just started seriously intermittent fasting. I've dabble with it before but not clean fasted. So far its great I'm 70 and the things I used to do were just not working even weight down (Gwen Shamblin) which previously used to work (only because I couldn't seem to stick to waiting to be hungry) This seems to be so easy even though it is hard to weight till your eating window it makes me feel disciplined. I just go and do something to distract myself so Im getting a lot done. ha ha
Yes, keeping busy is what helps me get through my fasting window too! Yvette, this drink will break your fast. I made this videos way before I started IF. Now I drink this mixture about 20 minutes before my first meal. I get all the benefits still. I leave out the honey and drink green tea if its day time. If I drink this after dinner instead, I can still use the chamomile

I also did Weigh Down an many other things. Nothing was working for me and truly I am so tired of diet rules. I am new to intermittent fasting, but it seems to take all the guess work out of it. I am pretty excited about this!
So far I understood that fasting is a " mind over matter."

Also adding, drink is a good filler. Best one for me is carrot juicing.
I chose carrots for the needed vitamins and by far it's an amazing filler to use. Certainly add more carrot vs water. Works better.
In losing weight for me though it's only become hard since after I had cancer and having a bone marrow transplant screwed up my hormones. So I get hot flashes, the works. I hope yo get rid of it.
By far for the fasting, the longest I've gone was 11 to 12bhours lol.
Normally its 9 to ten hours.
It would be trully more effective without my thyroid problems due to my bone marrow autologous transplant. Sucks big time >

I have Barrett’s esophagus. Will this aggravate it? Also as a dental hygienist, I love the straw advice to avoid the acid on your teeth!

Thank you! So, if you want to drink this in the morning instead, I use green tea in place of chamomile tea. Also, I make one big batch at a time so I dont have to make an individual cup each time. I drink this 4 times a week
