I enjoy watching you yabbying it brings back memories of my childhood playing in the creeks turning over rocks and catching buckets half full of crawdads. Ha ha ha, 'tripod Robbie' now I know how your confidence and outgoing personality came about, mate! ;-)
This how we used to catch them as kids, we would use a coat hanger and the net bag that onions come in, sometimes we would use wool for line but it would rot pretty quick and break after a while
Always loved going yabbing as a young bloke , dam up the road has some that i must check out soon . Best vids Robbie , fishing is always fun with you .
Hi. I am cho who grows yabby in a my small fish tank. Although i am asian, my yabby is from Australia. so i am interested in your video. we call yabby a CRAYFISH. to be precise, crawfish in this video is called BLUE CLAW. there are many members in my crayfish club. we are enthusiasts who grow crayfish. we trade crayfish at an expensive price. also we love yabby which from Australia. we hope to see video about marron, murray, astacopsis(tasmania crayfish), koonac. thank you so much, i am waiting your reply.
We used to use shanks for bait on baling twine way back when I was a kid Robbie, worked a treat, and we had a dam that produced absolute monster yabbies 😁
Good video Robbie, just wondering is that a private dam or just some pond u discovered?? Any place u would recommend for starter who does not have access to private dam?
hey robbie, i go fishing with my dad at urban lakes and ponds in canberra, and i was wondering if you could recommend anything for us so that we could simply just put a bend in the rod, Cheers
Good work mate, lovin ya vids! Heading back home from the city to the country soon so ill be doing some yabbying, tumut river trout and blowering dam for some cod and yella belly
To Robbie from Rob from Sydney, I’m heading down to Burrinjuck dam, down near Canberra... I’ve tried a lot of different ways to get Yabbies there though haven’t had luck with traps or anything of the like, do you have any tips or tricks for me? I might give this one a go but don’t think I have your finesse 😂
Just curious ,have you ever used ladies stocking material over the meat ball (of whatever type)? I'm thinking the claws may stick to the stocking more tightly than just raw meat. Hence give a better chance to get to the net without letting go. Great video as usual mate, thanks for taking the time to film and post. Pete
Yabbies are always great fun to catch - I'm having no luck catching any shrimp with my shrimp nets this year so far, any tips or suggestions? I usually put it in the Campaspe near grass or weed beds, still nothing.
Hey mate, I have never tried catching shrimp in the Campaspe, but in the Ovens I like the green plastic shrimp nets with a bit of meat for bait. Sorry I am not much help, but I not very familiar with your waterway sorry.
Great Video Robbie you have an engaging personality, actually you remind me alot of Chopper Reid, meaning no offence. Enjoy all your videos especially with one with the Red Belly Black close up, bloody crazy. Cheers Luke
robbiefishing I think one of the major things my channel is missing that yours has is that excitement I love it I need to remember that I am talking to a couple hundred people not just the guy fishing next to me
"otherwise the water would fill it's anal cavity" lol :-) mate, you kill me. I can see where i went wrong last time i used your technique Robbie, no sodding net and too small bait. I did use liver though. Cheers mate and great to see home on the other side of the globe. ATB Moose. p.s. shared on FB for you.
Hi Susan, it can be fried. I love itbwhen it is fried. It is called Lambs Fry, I have no idea why. LOL You can certainly fry the lambs fry if you know what I mean.
Ritchie SatoAllen Hey Ritchie this is my favourite fishing shirt. LOL Much mire comfortable than the tournament shirts that everybody else wears. Hahaha
Who liked before they even watched it awsome💯👍
Some legend!
hahahahahahahaha Robbie the tripod

Hi mate thats awesome! You have to wait until next June though so it's going to be a long wait. haha
We used to have giant yabbies in our dam in our acreage. Sadly they've all left but the memory of that 30cm makes me smile
Hi Tom, reminds me of my memories of Lake Urana mate, they were like crayfish!
Sick video, thanks for all the help, I can’t wait to go cod fishing, ready for the season! Keep up the great work mate!

We used to do this when I was a kid, our nets were made from stockings and a coat hanger too, mum was never impressed 😄
Me and my dad do that all the time at a dam with huge yabbies in it
Bloody good video as always mate! Love the dirty joke at the start

Where can i get a video camera glasses robbie?
We also got this in denmark
apparently its gonna rain up to 150 ml this cod opening
ALways love the yabby vids!
Thanks heaps Apollo13.
Are most the dams you yabby owned and in farm properties? If so do you just rock up and yabby or greet the owner? Thanks
Hi Andy, it is always best practice to ask permission before entering private property.
robbiefishing would of thought thats just common certacy. 😂😂😂😂

No problem mate, keep being you!
Bloody awesome mate great video exactly what I wanted to see
Thank so much mate. This is such a fun technique. I love it.
So many houseflies there. Have a video on housefly catching with a vacuum cleaner, insect zapper or rat glue on sticks with rotting matter to attract.
Great video mate! Good luck for Murray cod season too 😊
Thanks heaps mate, straight back at ya!
plain sewing coton works better wrapped many times round the meat so the yabbies dont skunk you and take your bait.

Great Video Robbie you have an engaging personality, actually you remind me alot of Chopper Reid, meaning no offence. Enjoy all your videos especially with one with the Red Belly Black close up, bloody crazy. Cheers Luke
