  • Chive Blossom Vinegar
    For 500 ml chive blossom vinegar you need:
    400ml of water
    100 ml vinegar essence
    25-30 chive flowers and stalks
    Screw-top jar with lid
    Bottle for filling the finished vinegar
    Preparation:
    Sterilize jars and bottles.
    Harvest the chive blossoms, wash and carefully pat dry.
    Cut off the flowers, cut the stalks into small pieces.
    Fill the screw-top jar with the flower heads and boots.
    Prepare the vinegar:
    four parts water, one part vinegar essence gives a vinegar that is 5%.
    Alternatively, you can also use white balsamic vinegar.
    Pour the vinegar into the jar and close the lid.
    The vinegar should now steep for at least a week,
    in a dark place at room temperature.
    Shake once a day.
    Pass the finished vinegar through a sieve and fill a pretty bottle.
    The vinegar can now be kept cool and dark for several months.
