When you said something is making you feel bloated, it's likely that your gut microbiome is a little messed up from the medications you were taking from your thumb injury. The antibiotics will completely mess that up and sometimes you won't feel it for weeks after you've completed taking them. I would start eating fermented foods like Kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi, Kombucha and a strong pre AND probiotic. Make that part of your routine for several months and I promise you will feel better.
