TO CUT CURVES THERE'S NO NEED TO TAP ON THE BACK SIDE LIKE YOU DID ( 1 ) TAP TO START THEN WITH GLOVES ON GRAB BOTH SIDES NEAR THE END OF CUT SND TWIST DWN AND PRESTO IT WILL RUN THE SCRIBED LINE

can someone please explain exactly how this works. and how that thing cuts glass to smoothly?
glass cracks along the easiest path..
so if you draw a crack it will guide the glass to break along with it
cutter has a beveled wheel with diamond dust on it. diamond scratches deeply into the glass, and cracks can widen by pressure or tapping.
Edit: these days the wheels are made of Tungsten carbide or hardened steel, still hard enough to scratch glass

Bro used kerosene cuz it's a ball cutter. Diamon cutters don't use kerosene (but expensive and hard to master)

Funnily enough, it's the same thing as cutting a chocolate bar (but at a greater hardness). Scratch away a groove and break it away evenly
