- Have you ever been in a conversation when someone says “they aren’t Christian, they are Catholic”. Sometimes Catholics even make this mistake when introducing themselves. If a person asks them “are you a Christian”, they might respond, “no I’m Catholic”. Public service announcement so that everyone is on the same page - Catholics ARE Christians! 🙌🏻✝️🙏😇

My son came back from school one day and told me that he wasn't Christian, he was Catholic. I had to explain to him that he was Christian. I am CofE, and you are RC, we are both Christians. It seems to come from within, as well as outside the RC path. As the non RC parent, I took on the roll of bringing my boys up in the RC faith. I saw no conflict in this.

I remember periodically asking my Mom "Are we Catholic but there are lots of Christians, or are we Christians but there are lots of Catholics?" I knew the wider term was for everyone who followed Jesus, but I could never keep the terms straight as a kid 😅 Catholic meaning 'universal' did not help my confusion.

Note: According to the Quran that Jesus is not God nevertheless Christians still worship one TRUE God.

Quran 22:40
[They are] those who have been evicted from their homes without right - only because they say, "Our Lord is God ." Islam mean "submission" to God
( The above verse saying is that God will not accept a religion from the >MUSLIM< and the Non-Muslims but total "submission" to God.)
Question: How Can Muslim And the Non-Muslim "submit" to the God?
Answer: Be kind to other human beings and Do not lie, Do not steal, Do not cheat, Do not hurt others, Do not be prideful and Do the charity work.
Note: If you obeyed all the ABOVE Allah-God's morals teaching "YOU" submitted to God.( ie Islam mean "submission" to God )
The only people will enter Paradise those who '' Submitted to God '' ( ie by good deeds )

Note: > Only < Islam allows interfaith marriages (14 hundreds) years ago. Today even Sunni Muslim and Shia Muslim do NOT marry each-other. ( Shame )

Are Catholics Christians? Well, what is a Christian? A Christian is a person who believes in the teachings of Jesus and observes them. As Jesus said at John 8:31, 32: "If you obey my teaching, you are really my disciples; [and] you will know the truth." Now, do Catholics obey the teachings of Jesus? If they do, where in the Bible did Jesus teach that...
1. "we worship one God in trinity"?
2. purgatory is real?
3. Mary is the mother of God?
4. the Godhead is triune?
5. unmarried priests are bound to celibacy?
6. Mary was immaculately conceived?
7. statues and relics can be worshiped?
8. the Father, Son, and holy spirit are one in substance, nature, and essence?
9. the eating of meat is forbidden on Fridays and during Lent?
10. Peter was the first pope?
11. Mary can be worshiped?
12. the Father, Son, and holy spirit are co-equal in glory?
13. priests can be called 'Father'?
14. Mary can be prayed to?
15. the Rosary can be recited?
16. his birthday should be celebrated on the same day as the pagan Roman Saturnalia?
17. the Father, Son, and holy spirit make up the same "One Incomprehensible"?
18. the pope is the vicar of Christ?
19. infants can be baptized?
20. homosexuals are "children of God"?
21. the Father Son, and holy spirit make up the same "One Lord"?
22. novenas can be recited?
23. his resurrection should be celebrated?
24. the holy spirit is a person?
25. Mary "has a separate and absolutely super-eminent rank among the saints"?

Once you see that Jesus never taught the above beliefs, you will realize that Catholics are not Christians. Being a Catholic is one thing. Being a Christian is another thing.
So you dont believe in Trinity and you think you are a Christian?

@@cbooth151 If Trinity is taught by Jesus & Apostles, it is a Chtistian doctrine. Where do we get the true teachings from? From the Church founded by Christ. But if anyone want to remain out side of it, there are chances that he will fall into errors. You seems to be one among them.

@@cbooth151 Christians believe that there is only one God, but they also believe that the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God (Acts 5:1-4). God exists as three persons, but he is not three gods. He is instead one God who exists as three equally divine, equally eternal persons, and this truth forms the central foundation and mystery of the Christian faith.
