  • Welcome back to our channel, where today, I'm about to unveil a game-changing money-saving tip that will revolutionize your candle game forever! Get ready to discover the magic of DIY aromatic and insect-repellent candles that will leave your space smelling heavenly while keeping those pesky bugs at bay. Are you excited? Let's dive right in!
First off, gather two candles and a pan as we embark on this aromatic journey. We'll gently melt these candles down on low heat to kickstart our crafting adventure.
Now, while our candles are melting away, let me share the serendipitous story behind this genius hack. It all began when I realized I was shelling out a fortune on store-bought candles. But fear not, for those days are behind me now! This ingenious trick has not only saved me a ton of cash but also unlocked a world of creativity, and I'm thrilled to pass it on to you.
Once our candles have melted into a blissful pool of wax, it's time to turn off the heat-but hold onto your hats, folks, because the fun is just beginning!
Now, brace yourselves for the magic ingredient: cloves. Sprinkle in as many as your heart desires to infuse your creation with a touch of enchantment. The aroma of cloves mingling with molten wax is nothing short of divine, wouldn't you agree?
But wait, there's more! Enter stage left: coffee grounds. Just a tablespoon of these aromatic remnants will elevate your candle to new olfactory heights. And here's the kicker-you can even repurpose used coffee grounds for this crafty endeavor!
Now, onto a crucial step: those leftover wicks. Waste not, want not-let's put them to good use, shall we?
Once the wick is in place, we'll patiently allow our candle to cool and harden, like a masterpiece coming to life before our very eyes.
And there you have it-our homemade aromatic and insect-repellent candle is born!
Can you smell that? The delightful fusion of fresh coffee and cloves is enough to transport you to paradise.
But here's the cherry on top: not only does our creation smell divine, but it also boasts natural insect-repellent properties, courtesy of the mighty clove.
So bid farewell to overpriced candles and say hello to your very own homemade masterpiece. Thanks for joining me on this aromatic adventure, and I'll catch you in the next video. Until then, happy crafting, my friends!

Did you use infused coffee here?

Great question! In the video, I used regular coffee powder, but infused coffee could definitely add an extra layer of scent and effectiveness. If you have any infused coffee on hand, feel free to use it! It might enhance the repellent’s aroma even more. Thanks for your interest!

What if u don’t have cloves?

    • @HomeDIYTips
      @HomeDIYTips  Місяць тому +3

Great question! If you don't have cloves on hand, there are a few alternative options you can try to create a similar aromatic and insect repellent candle.
      1. Essential Oils: Instead of cloves, you can add a few drops of essential oils to the melted wax. Some popular options include lavender, eucalyptus, peppermint, or citronella oil, which are known for their insect-repellent properties and pleasant scents.
      2. Cinnamon: Another option is to use ground cinnamon instead of cloves. Cinnamon also has a lovely scent and can help repel insects.
      3. Dried Herbs: If you have any dried herbs like rosemary, thyme, or mint, you can add them to the melted wax for a natural fragrance and potential insect-repellent properties.
Remember, the exact amount of these alternatives may vary, so feel free to experiment and adjust according to your preference. Happy candle making!
