    why didn't you made cheese and baking powder balls instead of keeping it in powdery form.i doubt this powdery bait will work

    • @HomeDIYTips
      @HomeDIYTips 4 дні тому

      Thank you for your comment! While using cheese and baking powder in ball form may seem like an alternative, keeping it in powdery form can still be effective. The idea behind using a powdery bait is to ensure that the mice consume the baking soda along with the cheese. When the mice eat the mixture, the baking soda reacts with their digestive system, making them sick and ultimately leading to their demise. By keeping it in powdery form, it is easier for the mice to ingest the bait. However, feel free to experiment with different forms of bait to see what works best for you. Thank you for your input!

      @HomeDIYTips 4 дні тому

      Baking soda is indeed a versatile and commonly used household ingredient that can be used for various purposes. It has many practical uses, such as cleaning, deodorizing, and even baking. However, it's important to note that while baking soda can be helpful in certain situations, it may not be a solution for everything. Its effectiveness depends on the specific problem or situation. So, while baking soda can be a useful tool, it's always a good idea to research and understand the specific issue you're trying to address and determine if baking soda is the appropriate solution.

      I apologize for any disappointment you experienced with the tip. Results may vary depending on the type of soda and the sealing of the bottle. But you had to remove the guard anyway ?

    • @HomeDIYTips
      @HomeDIYTips 7 днів тому

      You're right, I apologize for any confusion. In the cleaning process described, the guard is initially sprayed with the cleaning mixture while it is still attached to the fan. However, after the fan has been turned off and the bag has been removed, it is suggested to remove the guard for further cleaning and to ensure that any remaining residue is wiped away. Removing the guard allows for a more thorough cleaning of the fan blades and any hard-to-reach areas. Once the guard is removed, it can be wiped down to remove any residual dirt or cleaning solution.

      @HomeDIYTips 10 днів тому

      Thank you for sharing your comment. I understand your concern about the oranges potentially rotting and attracting mosquitoes. It's important to note that this video suggests using fresh oranges and doesn't mention keeping them for an extended period of time. However, it's always a good idea to monitor the oranges and replace them if they start to rot. As for the video itself, people have different preferences and interests when it comes to household tips. While this tip may not resonate with everyone, it's possible that some people find it helpful or enjoyable. It's always good to have a variety of ideas and options available for different individuals. • @HomeDIYTips
      @HomeDIYTips 10 днів тому

      I understand the frustration! The bag method is meant to provide a quick and easy way to clean the fan without fully disassembling it. It's great for regular maintenance to keep dust at bay. However, for stubborn dirt or sticky residue, more thorough cleaning may be necessary, which could involve disassembly. It's all about choosing the right method based on how dirty your fan is!

    It’s Lime not orange From Pennsylvania USA

    • @HomeDIYTips
      @HomeDIYTips 11 днів тому

      I apologize for the confusion in my previous response. Thank you for clarifying that the fruit used in the video is actually an orange, not a lime. Here's a revised summary of the steps using an orange: 1. Cut two slits on the orange, one lengthwise and one crosswise, without cutting it all the way through. 2. Place the orange in a container that fits it snugly. 3. Sprinkle some salt on top of the orange. 4. Add three tablespoons of white vinegar/alcohol vinegar to the container, except for one variation. 5. For the variation with cloves, add some cloves to the container. 6. For the variation with fabric softener, add one capful of concentrated fabric softener to the container. 7. Place the containers around the house, such as in the bathroom, living room, or near a window. I apologize for any confusion caused by the previous response. If you have any further questions or need assistance with anything else, please let me know.

    • @HomeDIYTips
      @HomeDIYTips 16 днів тому

      That's a valid concern! Generally, using the spray mixture on the fan shouldn't damage the motor if applied correctly. It's important to avoid over-soaking the fan and ensure it's unplugged before cleaning to prevent any accidents. If you're unsure, it's always a good idea to consult the manufacturer's guidelines or consider a more traditional cleaning method if you're worried about motor damage. Safety and maintenance are key!

    Is It works on Scorpions too? 🦂

    • @HomeDIYTips
      @HomeDIYTips 19 днів тому

      Yes, this homemade spray can be effective against scorpions as well. Scorpions, like other insects, are repelled by certain scents and chemicals, including those found in cinnamon, dish soap, lime juice, and disinfectant. While it may not directly kill scorpions, spraying areas where scorpions are seen can deter them from entering your home or certain areas. It's always a good idea to test a small area first to ensure compatibility with different surfaces and to reapply as needed for ongoing protection.

    I made peanut butter balls with baking soda and they devoured them. I also got a mouser cat, even though I'm allergic to cats. But, I hate mice more than I'm allergic to cats.🤷‍♀️

    What if you wrapped them in tinfoil?

    • @HomeDIYTips
      @HomeDIYTips 23 дні тому

      Wrapping bananas in tinfoil could potentially trap too much moisture and heat, accelerating the ripening process rather than slowing it down. It's generally better to use plastic wrap or store them in a paper bag if you're looking to control ripening.

      "Bro cooking" seems to be a term for a clever cleaning hack using everyday household items like toothpaste, water, dish soap, and vinegar to clean a fan efficiently. It's a cool DIY method to keep things clean without the hassle of disassembling everything.

    …. or, spray it with any spray cleaner you have under your sink.,

      @HomeDIYTips 27 днів тому

      Using a spray cleaner could work too, but be cautious with certain cleaners as they might contain chemicals that could damage the fan or pose health risks when the fan is running. The toothpaste mixture is a safer alternative that worked well for me

      Peanut butter is perfect too

    • @HomeDIYTips
      @HomeDIYTips 27 днів тому

      If you don't have cheese on hand, you can use other food items that attract rodents, such as peanut butter or even small pieces of bread soaked in oil. The key is to use something that will entice them to consume the baking soda mixture.

    • @HomeDIYTips
      @HomeDIYTips 27 днів тому

      Definitely! Peanut butter can work really well as an alternative bait. It's sticky and has a strong smell that attracts rodents effectively.

      If you're looking for substitutes for mothballs, you can try using cedar chips, lavender sachets, or even cloves. These alternatives also help repel insects and are more natural options. Hope this helps!
