this is my first ever ‘official’ tutorial video 😂💛✨ i apologize if it’s all just texts and not me talking, i’m very introverted and i’m not really confident in filming talking videos yet. maybe i’ll do one someday, who knows 😂
anyways, hopefully this video will help you all to learn more about gouache painting :D as i’ve said, i’m still quite new to it since i only started last january, but these few tips are what i’ve learnt so far, and am still learning everyday 💛 let me know what video should i do next 🥺

Hey may i ask?, What's best to use as mixing pallette? Opaque white plastic/ceramic ? Or transparent glass?
And why??
@@nekochii101 it's the best to use ceramic pallets rather than the other two you have mentioned but it still depends on your preference. Paints will stain the plastic pallete while glass could give u a hard time distinguishing the colors, unless you put a plain white paper underneath it.

When I was watching this, there were a couple time where you started adding new colors (like turning the sky more of a peach) and I was freaking out b/c it was already so pretty...and then you made it 10 times better. This is a beautiful painting, and it did help me a lot actually (I’m just beginning with gouache/painting) so thank you so very much! Can’t wait to watch more!!

Excellent video! It really helped me in getting to know the medium and I was also interested in knowing how the Himi gouache performed. Also lovely painting. I learned a lot! I wish you a lot of growth with your channel, you deserve it! Just one small suggestion/request: could you add the specifics of the tools you used (paper, brushes..)? That would be really helpful too!

Beautiful artwork! I've never painted a sky like that before but I am very excited to try this tomorrow. My Himi set is definitely on the drier side than yours so I've given it a water spritz to hopefully achieve the ideal buttery texture. Thank you for sharing your tips and wisdom :)

You teach better then the teachers in schools, they dont teach all these details, from 20 years ago if i have internet like today i learn how to use gouache for free instead of paying for schools that dont teach in details like this

I like the style of foreigners in painting because it is calm, sentence, simple and refreshing colors. All love for you , I am from Iraq
I have a set of the HIMI gouache paints, I had gotten into doing more watercolor recently so I stopped using it for awhile, I went to open it today and found that half of them were cracked/drying out. Thankfully (with some patience, water, and coffee stirrers) I was able to rehydrate all the ones that had dried up a bit, and was able to paint with them without a noticeable difference in quality. But I’d suggest anyone that has the HIMI pallets should probably wrap it in plastic wrap or store it in a ziploc bag when not using it because it doesn’t seal well.

gosh thank you so much for making this video. I've been trying to decide if i should try gouache but I had questions and I needed help but I was struggling to find any or struggled to get responses. This is so incredibly helpful and definitely aided me in making my decision. I like to know exactly what is good and what isn't so im still a bit nervous about finding brushes.

I just got a set of guasche paints for my birthday! This cider is super duper helpful thank you for making one! My guasche are in tubes like acrylic I’m hoping they don’t dry out!

For me i use 2 jars, but it depends on how much paint you use. The more paint your brush absorbs, the more dirtier the water becomes when you dip it :)

@@egggames4743 tbh we could see the blue, red and yellow, but as a beginner I don't understand if it's cobalt blue or Prussian blue. That's why I suggested, so it would be easy for beginners to understand color mixing too.

I'm curious to know why you opted for the smaller gouache set? Is it because the additional colors in the bigger one are unnecessary? I was planning to buy the bigger one but seeing you using the smaller one made me second guess 😂 I love your work! 💕

The palette looked so clean when you started painting, it was surprising to see you could touch yellow or white with a dirty brush while painting. Do you clean it each time after you finish your art session o was it a new palette? 😉 thanks in advance
