When I was watching this, there were a couple time where you started adding new colors (like turning the sky more of a peach) and I was freaking out b/c it was already so pretty...and then you made it 10 times better. This is a beautiful painting, and it did help me a lot actually (I’m just beginning with gouache/painting) so thank you so very much! Can’t wait to watch more!!

as an artist who’s left handed, it’s pretty cool to watch another fellow left handed artist doing gouache. i’m planning to start gouache this weekend and i’m pretty excited! your tutorials really help btw. lefties gang unite😆✊
This is my goals as I began using gouache! You are such an amazing painter! More painting please! You inspire us, beginners to continue this painting journey. God bless you, Emma!
Hi Emma! This tutorial is so helpful for me to learn more about himi/miya gouache before buying it. I really love this and I'm excited to paint with this medium soon! ❤️
Excellent video! It really helped me in getting to know the medium and I was also interested in knowing how the Himi gouache performed. Also lovely painting. I learned a lot! I wish you a lot of growth with your channel, you deserve it! Just one small suggestion/request: could you add the specifics of the tools you used (paper, brushes..)? That would be really helpful too!
gosh thank you so much for making this video. I've been trying to decide if i should try gouache but I had questions and I needed help but I was struggling to find any or struggled to get responses. This is so incredibly helpful and definitely aided me in making my decision. I like to know exactly what is good and what isn't so im still a bit nervous about finding brushes.
Beautiful artwork! I've never painted a sky like that before but I am very excited to try this tomorrow. My Himi set is definitely on the drier side than yours so I've given it a water spritz to hopefully achieve the ideal buttery texture. Thank you for sharing your tips and wisdom :)
I got so inspired and thank you for the tips cuz i just got my himi miya gouache paint 18 colors and its pink i got it like yesterday so yea thankyou so nuch!!! :D u deserve a subscribe!! :D
I’m so excited and happy that I have found your channel! I am so ready to try out gouache and thank you for inspiring me! :D I hope to paint more on my channel as well!
You teach better then the teachers in schools, they dont teach all these details, from 20 years ago if i have internet like today i learn how to use gouache for free instead of paying for schools that dont teach in details like this
this is the first video of yours i’ve come across, and i’m really glad i was introduced do your channel!! this video’s really informative, it explains everything i was wanting to know, and the aesthetic is 👨🏼🍳👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 (chefs kiss lol) you are an amazing artist! ❤️❤️
AAAAAAAAAAA OMG YAAASSS 🥺💕 i rlly rlly learned a lot! huhu more vids like this pls like you showing how you mix the colors AAAAAA i rlly love ur artworks 💯🥺💕
I have a set of the HIMI gouache paints, I had gotten into doing more watercolor recently so I stopped using it for awhile, I went to open it today and found that half of them were cracked/drying out. Thankfully (with some patience, water, and coffee stirrers) I was able to rehydrate all the ones that had dried up a bit, and was able to paint with them without a noticeable difference in quality. But I’d suggest anyone that has the HIMI pallets should probably wrap it in plastic wrap or store it in a ziploc bag when not using it because it doesn’t seal well.
usually when i get into artworks i watch videos to help me get inspired but then sometimes i get to excited to go do it that i’m forcing myself to stay here and finish my bagel-
I just got a set of guasche paints for my birthday! This cider is super duper helpful thank you for making one! My guasche are in tubes like acrylic I’m hoping they don’t dry out!
I was hesitating to buy gouache because I'm afraid that I'd just store it on my drawer and will never use it again. You just made me want to buy it for my birthday! thank you.
thank you for making this!! also quick question, do you recommend having two cups/jars of water to clean out and dip your brush in water? or just one? ❤️❤️
For me i use 2 jars, but it depends on how much paint you use. The more paint your brush absorbs, the more dirtier the water becomes when you dip it :)
its such a big relief that you need more than 200gsm paper for gouache , i thought to need something more than 400gsm •_• but it's a good thing i dont have to spend my parents money again !
Can watercolor be used as gouache like a watercoler kit if I use little water with it does it become gouache?. Or gouache has it's own tubes ? I knew that goiache could be used as watercolor but I'm not sure if it works the other way around . Nice video very informative 🙏🏻💌(srry for bad English)
I'm new to your channel and just wanted to say Thank you for sharing this video. I'm into mixed media art journaling and just bought a set of Gouache by Arteza but have been looking at Himi Gouache for little while now. Thank you again for explaining how to use it. I was confused on how to use these. Next thing on the art supply list ☑️ that I'll be buying. 😉♥️🖌👩🏻🎨🎨
The palette looked so clean when you started painting, it was surprising to see you could touch yellow or white with a dirty brush while painting. Do you clean it each time after you finish your art session o was it a new palette? 😉 thanks in advance
I’m planning on buying the gouache paints but I was wondering where you got yours and for how much as I don’t have much money and I will need to save up. I do have gouache but in tubes and low quality so they are not very good and the paint hardly came out the tubes 😢.
I'm curious to know why you opted for the smaller gouache set? Is it because the additional colors in the bigger one are unnecessary? I was planning to buy the bigger one but seeing you using the smaller one made me second guess 😂 I love your work! 💕
I see you dip the brush w a different color on another color. Is that ok? Do you remove those after working? How do you clean them? Aaaa so many questions
my first ever jelly gouache set is coming in today and I can't wait to start my journey of painting. But do we need to wet the jelly pots before using them or is it always wet? it never dries up?
