its basically thick paint that you can layer! Do some small paintings as a trial and you'll figure it out. Guoache is mostly used for layering and not blending since it is not very good at that.
I saw the sets earlier today on Amazon and just bought the purple one after watching your video. I know HIMI isn't considered artist quality, but it's SO much fun to work with. I have some WN but they dry out while using them and it's frustrating to use. These you just dump, mix and use. No fussing around with it. Love the four paintings.
Wanna tips? 1: have better quality brush and paints 2: you have to know colour theory 3: you have to blend very well 4: learn how to shade • And that it hope you like it•
Absolutely loved this video! 🌷🎨 The peaceful gouache landscapes you painted are stunning, and the unboxing and swatching of the Himi gouache 36 set was so informative. It’s great to see how different colors and textures come together in your artwork. Thanks for sharing your creative process and these beautiful swatches! 🌅✨
I have that set, they have been sitting on a shelf since I got them…I may have to dig them out today and give this a shot. I might have even commented on this video before I bought my set as it was a favorite back then too! 🎨 🖼️
Excellent!!! Truly! I just love the color you use, the references and the order of them. Also, it’s cool that you’re a lefty! I am too🥰 Thank you for the time you’ve put into your video!
Hii I don't know if you already know this but in case if you don't, himi gouache paint can slowly mold if you don't spray them with water daily, this has happened to me and all of the paint is now moldy🥲
A tiny drop of pure clove oil in each pan helps to prevent or delay mol, too. I dipped a clean toothpick in the oil then mixed it in each gouache. I did that once and never had mold for the four months I used the pans. I did replace a white pan I used and prepped it with clove oil the same way.
Yeah! I lost my first Himi this way, I just ordered some more but I also ordered special anti-mold for the gouache Be careful with water tho, I tried that tip and it didn't work. I sprayed half of them with just water and the other half with water mixed with alcohol (just a tiny bit) and it worked with the alcohol
himi has a specifically branded spray to keep paints moisturized and reduces the possibility of mold. also this person seems like they paint a lot so i'm sure they know paints can get moldy if they don't take care of them often.
Hi, new subscriber here. Lovely paintings, makes me want to get my gouache out! When I was little, I wanted so badly to be a lefty. I practiced and practiced but just could never be converted. Now, when I see artists paint with their left hands, I get flashbacks of my left arm feeling very sore and tired…. and I’m always so amazed at the beauty you guys can produce.
Hello! Thank you for your support, I hope you enjoy my art videos 😊🤍 and woah! that’s amazing and very dedicated of you to try and learn to use your left hand? :0 It must be challenging!
