Rash caused his own problems. He can get a job at car dealership. He wormed his way to be a lawyer for the whole family. I think Donna was upset because now she will be in prison longer. And rejection
Dan had a plan he got a commitment based on emotions. He let them control the defense and he supplied emotional and limited legal support. Anyone who can say to Katie that the only way she’s leaving prison is in a coffin box....... has no empathy or feelings at all and could easily have thwarted the trial.......... its trouble off his back and that’s all that matters to him it seems.
My bet: I think we are going to see Donna try to take a plea- IF the State will give it to her. But I'll bet she tries with a few months of sober reality without Rashbaum by her side . She is on her own now-utterly. I'd love to be wrong because I would also like to see justice play our in a trial.
It was a mistake on the side of the defense. Being that it could have been brought up earlier, and all the costs of moving and housing witnesses, the responsibility is on the defense. But they can only charge Donna if she's convicted, because if she's found innocent, that means the trial was an error of the State, and she can't be charged for that.
@@prettytsotetsi9909 I would think so, because remember it was the defense (Donna's) choice in the first place to have this conflicted counsel so it makes sense that they bear most of the responsibility for the consequences. First of all, Kathy ages backwards. Every time I see her, she looks more beautiful than the day before. Second, Kathy, you're just as learned as any attorney and probably more so than most :). Certainly more than you know who ;). Great episode as always.

I think Dan planned it as a likely scenario from a year ago but not Donna or Charlie. Dan screwed them all and took their money. His rep might be destroyed but I doubt he cares. He made millions off of that sick family.
@@stevew1487DR falling on his sword to get CA an appeal and collect the off shore accounts the Adelson's set up for him?
@@KarenRoman-r9n This fiasco won't effect Charlie's appeal. His trial happened before Rashbaum represented Donna. Nothing that has happened since Charlie's trial will effect his appeal since it only focuses on 'the trial' itself, period.
Kathy is so right on about Dan Rashbaum. He’s right on Joel’s tape lying. He’s sleazy and Coollady I agree with your husband that Rashbaum also knows where all of the Adelsons body’s are burried. It is also true that he just purchased a 1.5 million dollar mansion in Miami with Donna’s retainer!
I wonder if the Florida Bar Association will look into Mr. Rashbaums' decisions in representing the Adelson family.
After Charlie's trial, Donna had such a strong bond because he fed her bullshi!! So now it all caught up with him. Dan was WAY over his with Donna's trial and he welcomed anything to get out of it, SIMPLE!!
Rashbaum wasn’t concerned about feeding his kids when he agreed to participate in this un-holy, un-ethical, un-constitutional mess why should that be of anyone’s concern now??
Seems like Donna and Harvey have quite the legal malpractice lawsuit.
When Donna's lawyer said on the hot mic my bad. He knew what he was doing.
Donna's next lawyer- truly unconflicted in every sense (hopefully not a family friend to boot) may be more persuasive that her goose is cooked and she should turn . A chat commentor stated that she should ask for immunity for Harvey to give upWendy. Interesting!
It already seems that way, judging by his constant mentioning of deals. He's smart enough to see the writing on the wall, unlike Tara Kawass - what a disaster she was, and what a fool her client was 🤦😏🤔
@@kanabee1 I do not believe will stay on- I think he is a 'bridge attorney" to mitigate this disaster somehow on the state of Fla. Carl Steinbeck (and I humbly concur) thinks he will be gone by 10/15. He needs to be (still conflicted) - but time will tell!
@@CuriousGirl2 I hear you 😊 Thanks 🙏
@@kanabee1 Have a nice night :) What's left of it-wherever you are! Justice for Dan Markel and family.
@@CuriousGirl2 hi, it's 06h36 where I am - Jo'burg RSA 😊 You have a good night 🙏😇👋
If they have new evidence against Harvey and Wendi surely they can arrest them and not leave Wendi free until after Donna is convicted????
I love Joel. He has a good heart
AWESOME SHOW, AS ALWAYS❣️ Thank y’all!!! ⚖️
Tim’s the best! Saw him on Court TV last year. He looks so much more professional since joining live cable shows. Love him best on STS!
My Moms name was “Pat Sanford” 😂Everytime I hear this I jump a little
Can Charlie’s reason for an appeal be that his Attorney Rashbum was incompetent and did not know what he was doing?
Charlie is just protecting mommy from THE RASH of DOOM 😮
Just started watching in replay.
Bump guy... Jimenez /undercover cop who approached Donna .
Maybe she'll be able to retire to VietNam at 95 and have the last laugh, or the last cough, or whatever.
@@stevew1487 I truly hope not. Justice for all the Markels- living and deceased. Such a horrible crime.
@@CuriousGirl2 I was being facetious, in that would be a pyrrhic victory.
@@stevew1487 got it !
Waste of money on all levels. His fault. Rashenbaum needs to stop being a lawyer.
Just think, right now Charlie is talking his cell mates ear off about how smart he is😂
QQQ can Charlie get a retrial, because of ineffective council? He’s a terrible attorney!
Notice dan said ' the prudent way...' but notably, he did not say they did that. As a retired lawyer I recognize his type.
Why does Donna have to pay for her attorney's mistake? As far as reimbursing, the court for the canceled trial..
@@stevew1487Even if a waiver existed and Charlie reneged at the last minute? Hypothetically speaking.
@@prettytsotetsi9909 I would think so, because remember it was the defense (Donna's) choice in the first place to have this conflicted counsel so it makes sense that they bear most of the responsibility for the consequences. (I say most because everyone allowed it to some extent and should bear some responsibility).
Rashy took Charlie s word that he was giving the waiver.😂
I think it was planned. Rash isn’t that stupid. I think they did this to protect Charlie to give him his appeal “inaffective council”
You said to him THEY ALL HAD TO SIGN SOMETHING?" what you should've asked was HAVE they all signed SOMETHING? there's a difference?
First of all, Kathy ages backwards. Every time I see her, she looks more beautiful than the day before. Second, Kathy, you're just as learned as any attorney and probably more so than most :). Certainly more than you know who ;). Great episode as always.
Phil you and your family are in my prayers ❤
Tim Jansen is lying. They don't need Wendi to get Donna. "This TV is 5". "It involves the both of us".
Purposeful? These are professional lawyers and this is surely a disbarring offence???!! It’s appalling.
The silver lining is that we don’t have to listen to 3 plus weeks of Rashy during the trial
That's the problem when the clients are friends with the defence lawyer.
If you ask me DR was willing to bend the law if nessessary to help them.
Alex will get kicked off as well.
He never cared about Donna! we all thought his feelings for her were a little creepy and inappropriate but the truth is he never liked Donna! He lied. He is a liar. Something about him was creepy from the beginning and I wish I would learn to listen to my instinct. Ty STS for shining light on the truth.
Rashy has used the Adelsons just as much as they used him They all screwed each other over What’s the bet Rashy has already blocked Donna’s number
It sounds like Dan R. wanted to get out of this case.
Is there some responsibility of the Judge?
I would say absolutely
I was going to say the same thing. The judge should have disallowed this. He should have been on top of this.
He should've at least said "Signed waivers, on my desk, now."
I think this might be why he didn't come down too hard on Rashbaum. I think he feels some responsibility too.
@@Amber_23C That makes a lot of sense Amber.
My heart goes out to Donna...Dan R did very well by her & now she's been left in the lurch by him...she does not deserve this...heartbreaking!!
This was an excellent show. Hope to make it to the meet and greet on Sunday!
Maybe Charlie was concerned that using the same defense theory would also end in mom's conviction. Therefore, Charlie saw torpedoing mom's attorney as a way to "save her" in the long run.
Great discussion
