My niece wanted his autograph a while ago after a gig he was rude and up himself , maybe he was still miffed cos the modfather pulled the plug on the Jam .
Touch Sensitive (LP that I bought at the time of its release) was clearly his attempt to distance himself and take a different path than the one he had followed up to that point with The Jam, only that he did it in the wrong direction. He got bogged down in the swamp of the most vulgar New Wave and the critics didn't let him go scot-free. An excellent bass player with little talent for innovation. Paul Weller has proven to be much more...
Great to see this, Bruce is a magnificent musician and an incredible bassist! A rare treat to see him play rhythm guitar too!
he used to play it on thats entertainment live
I'd still take this over The Style Council anyday of the week.
Was at that concert, use to follow Bruce everywhere even went over to Paris with the band - great days.
The guy is a wizard on the bass.
Never new Bruce had his own band ,amazing footage thanks for uploading 😊
Smithers-Jones a “golden oldie” in ‘85. Wow
Very underated player is Bruce ,great hair
Excellent!
Thank you! Keep uploading!
Great sound he's getting out of that P-Bass. Wondering what rig he was playing through.
Love Smithers jones
Feeling very old.. I was at that gig in the front row….. Bruce’s solo stuff was pretty good but Smithers Jones was the highlight.
Peak-80s, gear-wise
a mix between Brian Ferry and Huey Lewis and the news

Pretty good. The only thing that lets this down are the terrible clothes and hairstyles.
I've seen more embarrassing from this period in time. If that's any consolation.
All the hired hands that the record company picked. Not a band at all. Love Bruce though
I’m sorry but this is supermarket music , Bruce just can’t make it on his own
It's a real trudge to watch. One third of one of the most important bands of the era scraping up this stuff.
The Style Council was a cure for insomnia. At least this has a pulse.
Wow, this is bad
