i just started a channel where I take trucks into the bush and break em. I just want to make people laugh.
See this is the point WD tries to make, its replaceable, it can be fixed, it’s just money..
Seems like it's more so a lack of creativity than anything. This coming from someone that doesnt follow whistlin or this channel. It just pops up in my feed from time to time.
When he started wrecking classics I unfollowed him
I would argue the point Cody tries to make is that it's just a material possession and you shouldn't care too much about it because it's just a thing, not a human relationship or something comparable that has actual intrinsic value. This video is actually kind of the antithesis of that mentality, this truck should have realistically been harvested for it's power train and scrapped, but someone spent a monumental amount of money to try to completely restore it to the exact condition it was in before Cody fucked with it. I mean good for them I guess but I'd bet money if you factored in the money they put into it with their labor (which could have been used on a customer vehicle to turn a profit) this truck is a complete loss and didn't financially make sense. Which means they'll probably take extra good care of it, which again contradicts Cody's point. I mean more power to them but their views are completely different
@@goingcommando27 I get where he's coming from, but to be able to give absolutely no fucks like he does, you have to have a certain income. If you've saved up cash for a nice truck or car and then treat it like shit, you're going to suffer huge losses in resale value that you might not be able to handle. I get why it upsets some people.
Personally, I really don't fucking care what others do with their stuff, however I'm getting a bit sick of how full of himself Cody seems to be through IG.
@@LifeRunner4000 I get that for sure, some of the shit he does Is pretty interesting just because you'd never see anyone else do it, so it kind of answers scenarios in your mind that may otherwise remain a mystery, but he does talk about his haters wayy too much, and I feel like if he really didn't care he wouldn't even address them anymore. But I wasn't advocating for that mentality, just explaining that its the antithesis of what these people are doing in this video. I think it's pretty juvenile to destroy a perfectly good truck for the lols, but I also think it was kind of a circle jerk to rebuild a truck with that much damage also for the lols, but either way I'm not either of those people so it really doesn't matter to me what they do XD

In the time yall rebuilt that truck I took the transmission out my 01 GMC seirra 1500 had it rebuilt put it back in myself, spending $1000, couldn't get it running had it sat at my jobs shop. My wife bought a 99 Plymouth grand Voyager for $800 with her stimulus check and have replaced water pump, starter, tensioner pulley twice, belt, tires, changed transmission pan and seal, and just keep it running to get us back and forth to work. My mom paid a transmission mechanic $1200 to rebuild my transmission in my truck and that was 2 months ago. The mechanic keeps asking questions and acts like he doesn't know what he is doing and asked me to send mechanics his way when I had gone to get my speakers out my truck. Really wish I had someone like yall to fix my truck!!

I have a 2008 Lmm duramax tuned and deleted. BCM went last month, it does a lot of funky things when it goes, but like you said, dome switches don’t work, windows work the sometimes won’t, and blinkers won’t work sometimes or only front blinker won’t. When you get your new BCM you gotta have it flashed by your local dealer, unless you grab one from a junk yard but your going 50 50 with it working with your vin. But I am really happy to see how this truck turned out, you guys killed it! Good luck!
