  • Harvesting Corn near Thawville Illinois
2020 Corn harvest video I shot in October of an area farm taking off their corn crop with their new Fendt Ideal 8 combine and 16 row Drago Corn Head. Also in they are using two different tractors and grain carts to haul the corn away from the combine to the storage bin. A Fendt 1050 Vario tractor is pulling a J&M X1522 grain cart and their Cat 55 Challenger tractor is pulling a red J&M X1522 grain cart.

Interesting history on the Challenger production.
Still amazes me how those unloading augers can stand out so far and filled with grain and not buckle even while going over rough ground.

The New Challenger you can see now are from ACOG like the Fendt MT 1100 they are the same but only different colors. Claas has sold them until 2003

    Hey Mike,
you are right that Claas was selling the Chellenger under his Brand but anything newer than 2003 is as i guess ACOG they have bought the brand after CAT was selling it. The only CAT brand fram Claas is the color at the Combines in the US and Australia but with the new model 5000 - 8000 it is now Seed Green white.
    greetings
    Marcel

Why couldn't Fendt have offered a larger hopper as an 'optional extra' for circumstances like these, ? Enjoyed the video, but boy that combine was sure shifting.

The cab corn is for comment section lolz..
Does the Fendt thresh the same amount as the output bushels for unloading, if it’s using the 12 row or the 16 row header?

      6 bu./second? I doubt ANY combine can produce 6 bu./ second?I just checked and they claim the 9t to shell 4500 bu./ hr. or 1.2 bu./ second.
