  • This high-quality travel tripod from SIRUI offers secure support for your compact or system camera despite its compact design. It is easy to handle in any situation and fits packed into any bag.
    The legs can be swivelled upwards by 180°, so that the tripod is just 33cm high when folded (with head). Each leg consists of 5 sections with 4 sealed ring locks. The rubber feet allow the tripod to stand securely on any surface.
    The cold protection handles are also part of the SIRUI standard, as well as the practical carrying bag.
    The tripod offers a removable and extendable center column. The head can therefore be placed directly on the tripod cross, which significantly increases stability. For additional stabilization, there is a small key ring with a carabiner at the bottom of the tripod cross.
    The ball head B-00K works very smoothly and softly. The Safety Lock System with Security Pin, which secures the quick release plate and releases it at the push of a button. It is no longer necessary to open the whole clamp. The base can be rotated 360°, ideal for panoramic shots.

    Almost all of this video was about the ball head. Not about the tripod.

    The perennial and very important question: How tall WITHOUT the center column extended? Hard to find the answer.

    I've read some reviews where people were concerned with the plastic threads(?) where the ball head screw goes into the tripod, is this a concern? Or is it pretty strong?

    How would you rate the ballhead of this tripod? I am considering it, and looking forward on hearing your opinion.

      It is excellent, very impressed by the build quality. There is zero play on the ballhead and all the knobs feel solid and high quality. I have tried several Manfrotto ballheads that feel lower quality than the Sirui. Works well with my Fuji X-S10 with 16-80 lens, weighing about 1.1kg.

      5CX has a better ball head and folds slightly longer (15mm) :)

      @@bikecuberdoggy i think 5CX actually folds slightly shorter? at least from what i can see online (5C is 13in, and 5CX is 12.4in)

      Except for this model,.this brand's tripods scare me because if that screw holding the plate is a little bit loose, your camera is going to fall off. The red button mechanism prevents that from happening. My current tripod (which weighs 8 lbs!) has a secondary mechanism somewhat similar.

    Is it an improvement over the 5C?

    • @bikecuberdoggy
      @bikecuberdoggy  2 роки тому +1

      I believe the difference is in the ballhead, it is also marginally heavier because of that.

      @@bikecuberdoggy Okay thank you. Also is it true that is smaller folded than the 5C?

      @@Reevesy791 not according to the official website. The 5CX actually folds 15mm longer, I guess it is the ball head making the difference. The 2 are really similar. If you change ball head angles a lot then go for the 5CX.
