    I often wished that the big O could have won this one and gone out like the champion he was. Him and Jerry West were two of my favorites during that time.

    This bucks team was deeper than the 1971 bucks team that won it all...but havlicek was on fire in this championship series...the bucks had no answers to stop him

    This is fantastic. I was a 16 year old in Milwaukee. Thank you.

    I prefer the NBA in the 1970s over the way it is now. There was much more balance - and most of the teams had better fundamental team basketball skills. IN the NBA these days the players travel pretty much on every play.

      I agree big time

      True, plus there was a lot more on-court intensity and sense of rivalry back then.
      The uniforms were better too.

    That Kareem Abdul Jabbar pass at 14:44....that is flat out absurd. Not in my dreams could I throw a pass that far, let alone with that much accuracy

      I went back and took a look at it, just wow. What a crazy combo of power/accuracy.

    It might have been a perfect season, had Luscious Allen stayed healthy.

      Really, that why Boston celtics beat them in 1974 nba basketball season,,, they had a great team jo jo white, Charlie Scott, Dave Cowen, John havlicek, Paul salis, etc etc

    • @3243_
      @3243_ 3 роки тому +1

      Except that Boston did not have Charlie Scott yet; he was still in Phoenix in 1974. He came to Boston in 1975.

    If Kareem and others actually had been able to go pro after High school he would have had not 38,000 pts but about 48,000 points. GOAT!!

    Some of this was bullshit in the editing. For example, Game 2 on the first Cornell Warner dunk in overtime, it fouled Cowens out. But then afterwards, they show Cowens guarding Abdul-Jabbar while supposedly still in overtime.
