Randomly saw your Shorts of crocheting this hat, immediately fell in love with it and clicked in your channel to check for a tutorial. Love how clear your instructions are made, it’s so helpful for beginners like me ❤ thank you for making this tutorial!
Thank you so much for making this tutorial, I was actually going through your playlist trying to see you had made a video of this already. You are an amazing teacher and I truly appreciate all that you do for us!! ❤️
I just followed this tutorial to make a pink bucket hat to wear when I go see the Barbie movie! It came out so cute, thank you so much for sharing your patterns on UA-cam! You’re awesome ❤
Really appreciate you taking the time to do tutorials for us. I have recently rekindled my love for crotchet and you make it easy and enjoyable. Thanks again ❤
Just finished my third one this week! I made one completely yellow and added white flowers all around, and then I made a green one like this and a blue one. Ty for the tutorial 🥰
I just found your channel by seeing your short randomly and show this cute crochet plaid bucket hat. I definitely will try this (maybe it will be kinda challenging to me since I'm kinda new into crocheting). I always wanted to try changing color in between but not enough motivation to that lol. I will try this later, so cute
thank you for the tutorial 🥰 i'll have to do the increases differently bec i'm not using the same yarn, but your tutorial made the construction of the hat really clear so i'm sure adapting the pattern will be a breeze!
This is a lovely hat! I know it’s an old video but I wanted to try it. I unfortunately don’t have those exact colours as my yarn stash is very small, so I used mixture of black and blue yarn instead and my hat is looking lovely so far! I’m very proud to say I learnt how to change yarn in a circle! New skill learnt!
I used someone else pattern to make a checkered bucket hat and it turned out looking like a thimble so I came here to figure out what went wrong and it was the exact same pattern until the last two rows, the other patten didn't continue to increase, it just did one row of increase and then single doubles for the next two rows lol. I was so pissed when I got to the end and it wasn't cute. so happy I can just remove two rows and fix it! should've followed your idea to begin with.
Thank you so much for the tutorial! This was a super fun hat to make and you're very clear in your explanations :) Can't wait to try more of your tutorials
Thank you so much! This turned out amazing!! My friend told me about your channel and I didn't regret checking it out! Your an amazing teacher that really explains every thing 💕
THANK GOODNESS YOU POSTED THIS! I was struggling so bad looking for a good gingham hat design omg?????? I did one but it was a bit of mess. THANK YOU FOR THIS
I'm a beginner but I think adding two or four double crochets to the magic circle AT THE START and then doing everything she does but like a two more stitches each round. Would probably make it a bit more bigger in size...(I recommend two stitches cause it goes a long way but u know your head more than I do.)
@@143hans_hotspithahahaha. I just used a 4 mm crochet hook cause im stupid xD . I always forget to change to different size for things cause I almost ALWAYS use 4mm. So it just turned out pretty small :((
I had to adjust the pattern a bit because I'm using different yarn and hook size, but it turned out so so cute!! Thank you so much for the tutorial, Kelsie 💞
@@valeriatte I used milk cotton yarn (2mm thick) with 4,5mm hook! I added 2 more dc to the very first row and when increasing, I increased 1 with every color change so everything is uniform in stitch number. Iirc I also added 2 more rows on the side (the regular rows with no increases). The brim I followed exactly as Kelsie's instruction ^^ The curving might happen if your tension is too tight or inconsistent, I think. If you're using smaller hook and yarn size, you might want to add 2 more dc to the initial row, or just add more rows to the top later adjusting to your head size because Kelsie's exact pattern _will_ end up too small if you're not using her exact hook/yarn.
Thank you soooo mush for sharing the pattern and process!!!! Just wondering how this would turned up with straw yarn/raffia paper yarn…. I live in hot climate, so raffia yarn is the only option in summer days….
As someone who is building inventory for a crochet business I would LOVE to see a video with your tips and tricks to crocheting frequently without hurting yourself. I know in one of your previous videos you mentioned heating pads on your hands before starting but the tendons in my forearms and my elbows get so painful after 3 days of work (about 2 hours max per day) that I have to take a few days off after. Please share your magic with us!
I love it. Just that i have a pumpkin head so i could have used one more round of increases but i couldn't figure out how. I thought it's 12 inc per round but it's not. Anyway...
I loved your red & black devil bucket hat and love this colour change pattern so much but I’m wondering why for the brim here you’ve done the same pattern except you haven’t gone into just the front loop on the first round?
HEY KELSIE I FOUND IT THANK YOU!!!!! the boyf will defo love this, imma go buy yarn today and get started!!! for a summer bucket hat do you reccomend cotton yarn? im a wool yarn girlie but also im realizing wool can get messy at the beach for example
I came to see if I was the only one that had a baby hat. 😂 It was only 16 in around and I need 22, so I pulled out one of my favorite buckets and measured/increased against that until I got what I needed. Hope this helps.
I guess I have a small head, or maybe your gauge is a bit smaller than mine, or maybe it’s both! Sorry! I’d suggest trying it again with a bigger hook or yarn, hope that works
Is it always using about 5mm hook? I search most of hat tutorials are using 5-5,5 mm hook but the yarns are look same as I always use which using 3-3.5 mm. Is that different size of yarn or just different size of hook?

suuuuch a great tutorial, just finished my first hat and it is UNBELIEVABLY CUTE
I just made one using pink colors omg it turned out so freaking cute! Thankyou for this pattern!
Super cute. I made this today. Ended up being very large. I will try with a smaller hook and maybe a 1/2 dc. Great tutorial.
I always wondered how this was done. Great tutorial. I'll be starting mine soon! ❤

Adding another increase row or two might help as well as sizing up ur hook
This is an awesome design Kelsie! Great job!
What a beautiful bucket hat!!! Love it!

I had to adjust the pattern a bit because I'm using different yarn and hook size, but it turned out so so cute!! Thank you so much for the tutorial, Kelsie 💞
Hi, what hook size are you using? I'm using cotton yarn with 4 mm hook and the first 2 row circle turn out a bit curve. Do you have any suggestion?

going to try white pink and red today!!
I love it. Just that i have a pumpkin head so i could have used one more round of increases but i couldn't figure out how. I thought it's 12 inc per round but it's not. Anyway...
I need to increase with two more rounds at the base, May you kindly help with the count. My circle is small
However many stitches you started with ex. 12 here then it’d be adding that amount every row
you explain so well thank you learning alot :)
Can you make another tutorial but specifying what round is what (Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, ect. ) ❤❤ Love it tho :)❤❤❤❤
I have a question for the start of each round. Can you do a chain 2 instead of a sc foundation? Great tutorial😊
Thanks for the tutorials ❤

Yes cotton is great for summer but remember it doesn’t stretch much at all
@@PassioKnitKelsie mmmm okay!! what yarn would you recommend using? would wool ultimately be okay then?

can I ask how many skein of yarn did you used
Does anyone know how to change the size for a toddler? 🥺
cuteee, how many yards did you used for this hat ? ( Approx ) I love your video so much
I just found you thru She’s got yarn 2.
Looking to purchase the pattern but can’t find on your sites

Same here! I finished it and realized that it was too small for my liking :( Gotta unravel it and add some increases now
If my hat is too small, what should I do? If I were to make another row of increases, where should I do them?
How many grams of yarn did you use ??
lol an I love your vids thx for the vids
Do you have a UA-cam video on how to do simple version of the peekaboo top?
Can I make this in a larger weight cotton thread for a summer hat? Thank you, my dear!
Thanks for making the tutorial for this! I saw this on your channel earlier and I really wanted to make it. 😁☺️🧶

how many grams of yarn is it for each color?
I made this hat but it didn’t have the ruffle at the end 😔 anyone have any suggestions
I can't find the pattern for this for sale.

if i have cotton yarn 2.5 - 3.5 mm and crochetting with a 5 mm hook, can I follow the same steps? O do I need to add something?
please take a tutorial on how to tie a butterfly top🙏🙏🙏🙏
Do u have a printed pattern for your granny square sweater. Please
You are very fast, my dear.
What happens if you cut the inside strings
If you don’t weave them in, eventually they will pull out and the hat will come apart
I don't think anything if you tie them
Can I use cotton instead w this partern
