Personally, I have this and a 100, and I get amazing sounds. I think we all have that sound we are looking for, so no one amp will please everyone.

Hi, I'm also thinking for buying it. I really liked this demo so it's is convincing me to buy it. Does it play these sounds without pedal too? Also is it good for rock and metal?

I had the V1 for a few years. Doesn't sound like they have improved the tonality of the voicings much, if at all. Best old school rock tones for me were with warm clean, volume and gain cranked with my Tele , or Les Pauls. Sounds like Led Zep I and II.

I like my original (V1) Id Core stereo 40 that I got used for under $100 at my local Music-Go-Round and a Starcaster Strat a year later for the same price to mod the mess out of the guitar.. lol total custom everything to my design. My Id core stereo 40 has the same controls and inbuilt effects as the later versions wothout the mewer features that i wouldn't use anyway but I can still use the online software with mine... I can crank it alone with just the regular speakers, go stealth with just the headphones or go from the headphone out to my surround sound receiver CD input for a deeper bass and fuller sound stage with more volume too... LOL My total over the top guitar build I call the "Stellarcaster" sounds out of this world played through the tiny Blackstar amp to the suround system. Yup Yup I like it loud and proud.

The Gain seemed unresponsive on the Crunch and overdrive channels. The much-vaunted ISF control made absolutely no change in the tone.
