It almost was. There was plenty of N'Zoth stuff in Stormsong Valley and its dungeon as well as the Crucible of Storms raid. There was also the second to last boss in Eternal Palace and N'Zoth himself escaping in the end of it. Then an entire patch. The N'Zoth stuff just had to share its time in the expansion with the war going on which was like 2 expansions existing at the same time both of which would have to fit inside release and 3 major patches. If BFA had another major patch, (8.4) it would be better with the Black Empire having more time to be front and center.
@@librask3009 i agree. Legion was not perfect as well but at least we only have the Burning Legion as the main focus. From their invasion, to the assault of Broken Isles and Tomb of Sargeras and us going to Argus. You feel your journey as a player/adventurer very well. We did not even fight sargeras, yet I feel a justified ending of Legion.

They could be saving it for later though as it’s hinted that all the confirmed dead old gods still have influence after their deaths so maybe they’re not truly dead like how you can’t kill demons outside the Twisting Nether.
Ummm you forget N'zoth actually played a part in Burning Crusade with the Arrokoa hinting he manipulated them and sethe through the emerald dream, then he was basically the focus of Cataclysm, then he mist he was the focus of the redesigned orc starter dungeon, then he played a major part in legion, and he was the focus of BFA. EVEN THEN WE ONLY KILLED A AVATAR OF N'ZOTH NOT THE REAL THING. which is horrifying to think of. He is free and he is still on Azeroth and he was banking on us bringing his gift into the shadowlands.
I love how the tracks at the start, that play at the Wrathion encounter, have hints of Wrathion's theme from MoP. Gave me chills when I first entered Ny'alotha!

Nevermind the part where you have to relentlessly experiment inside tiny, controlled visions of n'zoth to strengthen the cloak and get used to the horrors before heading into nyalotha, and the seeping corruption of your items that literally kills you if you're foolish enough to put on more than the cloak can handle
In the end, you do get corrupted though. That's how the battle ends. You just stalled him long enough so that they could fire the re-origination beam at him
One of the dumbest things blizzard ever did with the story. We have also been under the impression the other old gods were still alive until they confirmed them dead (unnecessarily) with n'zoth. The emerald nightmare is also not taken care of yet and n'zoth had a hand in that. The heart of azeroth should have been the lead in to a nyalotha expansion.

N'zoth tbh was a waisted potential, they could have made his ending more dramatic for a villain who was behind the scenes since cataclysm, it's just a shame he had no ending cinematic.. I don't consider "you are a champion of azeroth" as an ending "gameplay cutscene" and not a cinematic like they always did with the previous expansions, besides what's the point of magni telling us we are the champions of azeroth? Weren't we all since we started at level 1

Once again the best part of World of Warcraft besides the graphic arts is the music. I love epic raiding music, so sad that BfA was a dumpster fire but cheers to the freaking music department, this is easily in my top 5 best raid soundtracks.
They cramped 3 expansions worth in to BFA, the faction wars, Nazjatar and Nyalotha. Unlike Legion, it was all about the Burning Legion. Even we did not get to kill Sargeras, we did have a climactic ending on that one
Story with the Old Gods is over. They are all dead. Nyalotha is N'Zots realm in which he escapd after he was released from the prison. We went there and put an end to him. Thats it. There is no any illusions or such.
With Dragonflight we've possibly changed the future in way we haven't seen yet. During the Bronze DF storyline we were sent into the time of the Elemental Lords war with the Old Gods. N'zoth looked into our minds and now he knows everything that will happen in the future, They all know now...
This patch could've been great if it is made as expansion. Instead, N'zoth got such underwhelming ending and we are dealing now with literally realm of the dead.

People forget that we killed the other old gods in patches and although they were imprisoned we did use the combined forces of the titan forges to kill him, if they really wanted to they could just say he was reoroginated and not killed and bring him back that way
For the longest, Blizz said that the Yogg and C'thun that we fought were just small manifestations of their power, now that is retconned and they're actually dead. Where it's possible they could come back and I wouldn't mind if they did, all the old gods are dead dead

As if none of them weren't worthy of being labeled as a problem unto themselves. The default response by the point where the Jailer tells us that is, "Yeah, we'll handle that too. Whatever. Die. Give us our loot."
Should have been the expansion instead of shadowlands. Sylvanas was the antagonist of BFA and should have been killed in BFA. Maybe we could have used the heart to stop the take over of n'zoth as an end of expansion event after sylvanas and then entering the new expansion we could maybe get some new zones and Nyalotha. N'zoth got done bad.
am I the only one who thinks this sucks? sounds way too loud, cheesy and orchestral. BfA's music has been bad from start to finish. it has none of the subtle ambient mystique you can find in older WoW tracks.
I think this should of been an expansion that the heroes, alliance and horde actually lose at the end like infinity war than the next expansion is us trying to undue nzoths work
