  • I just received a package from England! Let's open it up and take a look at what came inside this wonderfully packaged box. I have always had a soft spot for home built engines as well as a great appreciation for the passion that the guy's in the EU share for model engineering. What lives inside this paper wrapped parcel checks both boxes for me. Thank you all for watching, commenting, (I read them all) and subscribing. You guy's really are great!

All the slop seems to be in the joint between the piston rod and conrod. Not a bad steam engine!
I have a Cison FLT-175 now. Ran it for a few seconds on glow ignition and Omega 15% RC fuel. It vomited its oil out in seconds so I didn't let it run very long, but it did run.

the assembly is heavily loaded and does not have constant lubrication, so the upper neck of the connecting rod was broken, plus the material was not quite correctly selected, steel on steel is not a very good friction pair, it would be better to put a bronze bushing in the connecting rod and a steel bolt ...
but overall a nicely made engine...

YEAH new camera is great. Lighting...check, tripod...check, now camera...check. Now redo all your videos. Only joking!! What was the old camera? And is this a Samsung or Apple?
