You have a set of great info there Tri, cool to see you playing Glad as well. I would recommend to use Shield Charge instead of Leap Slam tho - it will be faster in most cases especially paired with Frostblink for Gaps. I would also repick Cruelty since it is harder to maintain 100% uptime but Fortify (for def) or Swift Affliction (for DPS) would provide better results. Cheers my friend!

really solid vid man, picked up a bunch of good tips for my dual wield lacerate gladiator! :D still gonna stick with dual wield for now, trying to make it work with rigwald's contempt + an elder influenced "50% more bleed damage" 600 dps axe, crimson dance does work with dual wield when you build for it, totally melts bosses, and i find the defense are ok, only essentially losing out on the shield unique abilities like -50% crit dam taken or the life on block you mentioned. Def swapping over to get even more spell suppression, already had entrench, and around 35%, but more is just better, can rework helm/ chest/ gloves/ boots easily enough!
This is a really good build. Recommend it to a lot of people, the only thing I'm not a fan off is not being able to have a bleed from myself and then a bleed from my party member. Otherwise I'd still be all over this! Was the by far one of the smoothest builds I've played.
The one thing that I hate with my glad bleed Build is the cost of lacerate of hemmorage gem..... If I knew it will cost 85/90c now I probably wouldn't have picked this build
This was my league starter aswell, now in progress of swapping to my second build after finishing the feared. I played lacerate of haemorrhage supported by eviscerate for screen clear (awesome for expedition and fortifying). I skipped spell suppression with my 7 endurance charges and 7k life and it felt great! 7th endurance from a kaom's sign im still wearing
6:26 Or just use the tempest rising boots which are cheap if you aren't going for the highest rolls, so you can have war of attrition and all bleedings aggravated.
Those were some incredibly helpful tips. Spell suppression and Blood Magic in particular have made endgame mapping feel much smoother. Armor really isn't cutting it early, and the mana costs for attack skills are way too high to mitigate even with triple Elreon crafts on jewelry. Also those intros are getting out of hand, keep them coming 😁
spell suppression is arguably the strongest defensive layer that exists in PoE , even uber-tanky builds that have 90/90/90/80 will still die to some uber bosses without it ; ofc you can always 'just' build 20k+ ES/life and get CI but then we're talking about mirror-tier investing ; afaik Atziri's flameblast is the single hardest hitting enemy ingame and without 100 spell suppression it can 1shot most builds ; ofc there is also the Jugg/4thVow/DivFlesh route but that's very specific and spell suppression is something that anyone/everyone can get
I just played for the first time and finished the campaign. It's crazy that I can finish the campaign and not understand 95% of what you said in this video lol this game is huge.
I've seen everyone going on and on about spell suppress but I'm running 90% spell block and 83% elemental resists (+2 on shield, Sanctified anoint and the rest from the tree) and I'm comfortably running T17s.
Played Lacerate Glad as my league starter, except I didn't go the 1h+Shield route, I went dual wield with Rigwald's Command. Much, much higher DPS than 1h+Shield, but definitely needs more investment to really ramp up. I don't use Blood Magic. Cannibalistic Rite and reduced mana cost on helm and jewelry with some mana leech fixes it. You can go Malevolence for pure damage or Herald of Purity and Flesh and Stone for a mix of both. But the real reason benefit of going Blood Magic is for tinctures. Blood Sap Tincture with t1 DoT Multi boosts my damage by at least 40% when I pop it. I also tried Retaliation skills too. The base damage on them is good enough that a 3/4 link can kill white mobs. I only have Maim + Fortify on Bladestorm for utility. I also have Vengeful Cry, and Prepared Response can sometimes let you use it without taking a savage hit. That's why I also use Crushing Fist. Flow of Battle on the bottom left will solve rage gen FOR mapping, but I eventually switched my gloves to Admiral's Arrogance. Not an autopilot kind of build, but if you can manage to have Vengeful Cry, Berserk, and your tincture up it'll double your DPS. Only downside is it's hard to cap res (I don't have capped chaos res) and no spell suppression. I'm using a Ward helmet which does help against oneshots in ways that's hard for me to notice.
I did a bleed gladiator with the new retaliate skills as "ultimate" abilites. Both evicerate and the warcry that gives rage and the pops when I evicerate feel amazing
I was doing this but swapped to something akin to gorathas retaliate build and once you get used to it the offensive problems disappear as well as being nigh unkilable, you don't have to use blood magic either , bleed becomes more of a support and lucky block ascendancy is incredible you basically never get hit and constantly trigger retaliate skills.
Those explosions looks so satisfying, same as any ground slam, I gotta try any of these this league but still I couldn't decide which one will be, sadly because this league looks so good
@@deceiver444 it's mainly supplementary damage for bosses and tough rares. When you don't need it, turn it off. Life leech and other sources of recovery can definitely help with uptime though.
jack the axe and deresos courage has been suprisingly nice, went war of atrition AND jagged technique. Will respec after I get a life on block sheild. Got a silly build planned. powersiphon, with perfect agony. so easy with new wands to hit 100% crit about 20% less damage than lacerate gladiator, but its powersiphon with bleed pop so that will be fun. Also wand enchant is busted, and flask charges on crit is 100% uptime on ailment imunity.
Idk what to do anymore when I was dualist I used 2 hand swords because it did a lot of dmg but know that I’m gladiator everyone says use shields but my whole skill tree is based on 2h damage
Great points, however I disagree with the mana one, Spirit of War (mana cluster next to the Duelist exit area and a -7 craft on an amulet has been more than enough for me to deal with mana, and you aslo have the hability to use a tincture with this which givies you between 60-100% more damage.
Very newb here. Only about 250 total played over years and years. Taking this season to get reacquainted with the game and following bleed lacerate build guide. So far so good at level 62. Cleared t17 with lacerate glad without spell suppression. 65% lucky spell block + 3-5 endurance charges is more than enough for most of the content. Having spell suppression ofc better but getting it is really hard (no supression on the tree + you need lots of other staff like chaos res and etc.)
I was able to finish t16s and get all watchstones by doing minimal upgrades as i went with lacerate glad. Now im doing 8m dps with bleed and have around 20k phys and 50k ele max hit. Not super impressive but the build is fine. Definitely not the best build out there but i think its pretty fun.
Since it depends a bit on the exact build and gear, the best way is to load your character up in PoB (you can import from your account as long as it's set to "public" in your profile settings). this looks so boring and so weak, its like your literally run around with your little wand like harry potter and try to "pop", your enemies, beyond pathetic
LMAO
Instead of blood magic i would get lifetap as one link, pride/malevolence+blood and sand+autoexert battlemages cry vulnerability more than makes up for the damage
The new svalinn shield is amazing, autocast frostbomb and frees up your ascendancy. Jagged technique + war attrition is way better than 10% block chance if you're already lucky thanks to svalinn
Except this is way too mich fuss for nothing but nearly the same result.
@@Logined85 lol 'for nothing' to you is 25-30% more damage for everyone else. it's literally a socket and skill point away for a gigantic dps increase, svallin also frees up an ascendancy slot
no this is don't.....
