Hi Rae! Great videos! I am about to try highlighting to blend my grays and virgin dark brown hair. I tried some test strands, they were a bit thick. But didn't process to a pale yellow it seems. My hair seems quite resistant. I used 20 vol and left it on the hair (in a foil) for 1.5hrs and got a golden shade. My question is, how long can I safely process my resistant, virgin hair in order to get a pale yellow (I want to tone it ashy to match my grays). I really don't want much warmth if I can help it! Or, can I bleach a 2nd time with 10 vol to lighten it to a pale yellow on the same day before toning? I have a cap and foils. Still deciding which way I'll go. Thanks so much for your time! Ps. I think my hair is about a natural level 5 maybe between that and a 4, hard to tell!

Id love a follow up video where you speak about the difference in damage experienced by the different developer strength? Is that possible?

I can totally do that- next Monday will be the follow up toner video- But I should be able to do that for Monday Feb 1- In general the lower the volume the less damage. If you have not watched this developer video check it out and see if it helps:

I’m sorry for being so very late on this response 🫣🤦‍♀️ the ideal scenario is that the hair lifts up to a color you can tone to be closer to gray. How’d it turn out?

If I am doing a full head of foils on someone, do I start from the front, like in this video?

You can start where you feel most comfortable. For a full I typically start in the back but sometimes in the front. What did you end up deciding on and how did it turn out?
