- I check out the Southampton LEGO Brick Festival with my daughter, Erin. One of the last LEGO brick Festivals of the year with plenty of LEGO MOCs and traders.

Thanks for the tour around the festival. Love those earrings. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get traders tables for this event, but sounds like it was a pretty quiet day for the traders. Good that you were able to go round and get a good look at all of the fantastic mocs there.
Yea, we did look out for you but Fred from Hillians Bricks mentioned you couldn't get a table. Erin was disappointed she couldn't say hi.. lol
Iain, one of the sellers had to drop out at the last minute (Lee Shurmer) and he said to me in a coment, that if he'd known that you couldn't get a table, he would have seen if he could have passed his on to you!
@@MinifigJez that's a shame he couldn't make it - to be honest, it didn't sound like any of the traders made that much at the show, so probably glad I missed it.
Yes, I was chatting with the seller Hermioodle’s Hutt, and he was wondering how long this business model will work for, with so many new sellers, just selling current sets, at retail or near-to-retail prices.

04:11 Geez that seller wants £200 for the Technic Mercedes G wagon! I know the RRP is £220 and it’s a relatively new set but you could pick it up at Argos last week for only £165! I also had a discount code from Argos’ 12 days of Christmas prize draw thing so got it for only £135! 😂

I stopped going to Brick Festivals. I understand a premium for sets no longer on sale but paying to get in and buying lego,which is either rrp but without lego points or more expensive than the shops who discount e.g. Amazon, Smyths, i dont see the point. Great Western Brick show is a much better event.
@@jc3561 I appreciate that, but for me, and my daughter, it was about seeing the MOCs and her being able to do some activities and building.

Can't believe that I missed you !!!!! I was talking to a seller, who vaguely recognised me from a previous show, and he said:
"Clayt was just here, I recognised him because he was filming"! So I had a look around but couldn't spot you.
It was a LOT quieter than the previous two shows.

@MinifigJez Oh really, nothing for Southampton? That's odd. Maybe not confirmed yet, or Portsmouth taking its place? Maybe?
@@BrickBargains I just checked the website again, and since I last looked, there is now one in Southampton for May 3rd (unless I just didn't spot it last time!) so that''s 3 on the South coast (with Bournemouth) and... a new one in Woking too (which isn't far North)
