I am kind of surprised Sauron isn't number 1. In my opinion, not only is he the best Lego Lord of the Rings minifigure (alongside Saruman with long robes), but one of the best Lego minifigures of all time. That helmet piece is just fantastic and the torso and leg printing is spectacular.
Its nice, but lego not making him a larger fig like woody or the avatar characters was definitly a cheap out.
Dragonborn paladin is the undisputed no.1. Lego needs to put more effort into crafting a more menacing Sauron.
@@shortshortdi honestly, I think if Sauron had a new mold for his weapon, he'd probably be #1 for me. I just really love his armor piece and printing. That being said, the weapon they gave sauron is kind of lame, so the dragonborn paladin is definitely #1. And even if sauron had the new weapon, the paladin would be a close second.
Number 5 is way too low. Top 3 at least.
It really is. Pictures don't even do it justice
The dragonborn paladin earns its place for not only its uniqueness but also its diversity. All the parts can be reused in other Castle minifigs (which is why I bought 75 of them). Sauron on the other hand might be cooler but he is also more limited in his use.
Great choices in my opionion!
I really like you explaining the rankings in great detail, instead of just mentioning a General personal opinion.
While the green tunic link is more iconic, and the triple molded hairpiece is amazing, the gold hairpiece on botw link is the best hairpiece in that set imo. Obviously the master sword is by far the best piece in the set, though.
My list would probably go something like this:
1. Dragonborn Paladin
2. Sauron
3. Botw link(both links would include master sword as their accessory)
4. Drift(fortnite)
5. Oot Link
6. Elf Bard
7. Gith Warlock
8. Jedi Vader
9. Cuddle team leader
10. Trespasser elite(I'm a sucker for translucent heads, especially with great printing on them)
Edit: If Sauron had a new piece for his weapon, he'd probably surpass the dragonborn paladin for me. The dragonborn would be a close #2.
all of these deserve to be on this list, all of em are beautiful!!
Gambit, Jedi Vader, classic Link, Sauron, Shadow definetley earned their spots, and the dragonborn paladin unanimously deserved #1!!!
If their were any other minifigs i'd put on the list or any change-up..
- Baron Harkonnen, for its beatutiful cloth piece (despite just having plain black figure parts underneath), and propably the longest we've had on a minifigure since Lord Business's cape back in 2014.
- the Mountian Troll from Harry Potter or Red Hulk from the upcoming Captain America 4 set, both amazing bigfigs!
-and maybe Peely bumped up to #2, but hey, the old man Anakin head on Jedi Vader talks, so no complaining there.
White Vader really reminds me of Teridax in the alternative Bionicle universe.
I‘m gonna need a Shadow minifigure because of Sonic 3
Jedi Bob deserves a place!
I am totally behind the #1. The D&D CMFs were so good. I am really happy Tasha made it on this list as well (She's one of the best minifigs this year, overshadowed only by the Dragon Paladin).
Regarding Link, I do prefer the Blue one t be honest (look / vibe wise). Lucky we get all 3 in one set so we don't have to choose. I do think the Green Link torso would fin forestmen very well
Stop walking backwards down stairs please. It gives me anxiety 😂
Snubbed not by you but by Lego themselves, I'm still anooyed we didn't get Ganondorf with the Deku Tree.
I thought Darth Jar Jar was the BEST minifig EVER that was released in 2024 💯
He should have had a hood.
DnD CMFs looking suspiciously like Vidiyo reprisal between the dragon heads and reused witch hat!
I definitely agree with most of this list. It was interesting seeing some unreleased Vidiyo wave 3 minifigures at 2:23. Here’s my personal top 10 licensed minifigures of the year:
1. Dragonborn Paladin (Fun fact, this minifigure actually caused the prices of the Red & Blue Dragons from Vidiyo to skyrocket in price.)
2. Jedi Vader (I love non canon Star Wars content)
3. The Lizard (I can’t believe this is our 1st version of this iconic Spider-Man villain.)
4. Sauron
5. Drift (All the Fortnite minifigures are amazing but this is my favorite one.)
6. Cal Kestis (We need more licensed video game tie in products!)
7. Raven from Fortnite (Dual Molded legs with side leg printing feels extra deluxe for a standard retail set. The only way they could’ve made this minifigure better is by including arm printing.)
8. Gambit
9. Ghost Spider with Wings. (It reminds me of Spider-Man 2 for PS5 which was my Game of the Year in 2023.)
10. Batman from the Gotham City Skyline set. (So nice to finally get some Batman the Animated Series love this year!)
Honorable mentions: Drax, Moff Gideon, Imperial Praetorian Guard, Jedi Bob, Darth Malak, & Max Rebo
If DuckBricks plays Hitman: World Of Assassination he probably exclusively uses the Ducky Gun, Lucky Duck Suit, and his arsenal of explosive rubber ducks.
I have sauron 'the dragonborn paladin and to chrismas i become the legend of zelda the great deku tree with link❤❤❤
Jedi Vader not having cyan eyes kills the figure for me.
The hair and hat piece from the witch could be used for Gandalaria. I hope sehe gets her crystal ball which will definetly work right.
That witch hat plus hair piece would be good for an Enchantress minifigure from DC Comics.
Shame I will never get even one Dragonborn Paladin without going on the internet and paying double
I have the other Shadow from the Bike set. My favourite minifig ever. Great to see it is getting some love
Someone call the police...

Because Shadow got robbed. 💀
Excuse me, Peely.. over Sauron? ...
For your dragon army … are you using the red and blue vidiyo dragon heads and green D&D set dragon head as well?
The gold dragonborn paladin of bahamut is the best minifig. I got 9 of them 1 to display with the dnd set and the other 8 to make paladins of different races for a small moc and using the db heads for other mocs
Gambit is easily the best
Man I’ve got to know, what do you do for a living to afford your collection on top of house, bills, and life? I need to rethink my career 😅
He actually did a whole hour plus long video on how he affords all this. Just look up DuckBricks How do I afford all this Lego? & it should pop right up.
I wasn't expecting sonic characters to appear on this list
Jedi Darth vader and Darth jar jar binks are #1 and #2
So i'll bet that Coles dragon titan mech will be atleast top 2 of $60-$100 sets of this year...
Nice build but looks like a GWP.
No Phase 2 Clone Trooper?
No B2 Super Battle Droid?
So you're part the reason we can't get our hands on the Dragon Knight!!! xD+
I agree with putting peely on this list. He has to be the best minifigure from the battle bus set.
The 2024 LEGO Marvel Drax is a honorable mention 😎😭😂💯
Get on UA-cam kids buddy
huh? Gambit's avg price is 17.58? which bricklink are u visiting that im not able to access? the amount i see it last 6 months avg --55.18 and current avg is 61.22. get your facts right before putting up such figures. completely misleading!
