The salvage beacon is actually a concept I had in mind (not as a mod, but as something I wish FO4 had done to make it more immersive). Excellent mod therefore! :P
Mines are great when you don't have a companion to mess up planning. You can set up a gauntlet of them along some corridors and let a group of enemies chase you through it. Also good if you have to fight a tough enemy that you know is going to make you gradually retreat, so you can make them pay for every bit of ground they take. Another use is when you're entering an area with more than one corridor from which enemies can flank you. Choose one route to attack from and stick mines in front of the others to alert you and punish flankers lol. It's a letdown how weak they are though, and seems a bit unfair to me that placing a mine alerts enemies almost regardless of your sneak ability.
I'm going to use several of these from now on, so thanks. But I'm surprised not to see any comments about the under-dressed npc climbing out of the power armor at 9:08 :D

yeah thats the thing, its fucking so old, i mean... im pretty sure i understood that when they introduced the bell system in the first place, and now that youtubes confirmed it all youtubers have just gone off the rails and its sacrilege, this is how it is now and has been for months, get used to it.
Recoil is not caused by bullets, it's caused by the internal explosion and gas inside the weapon, so it's still possible that whatever process the laser weapons use does produce recoil.
Salvage Beacons is the BEST! It is literally my favorite mod. It makes it so much easier to run without annoying companions, since I can have my settlers pick up my stuff instead making companions carry everything.

NeapolitanGaming You could argue that with the projectile speed, they're less laser guns, more particle weapons. So they probably superheat gas, and that'd have a little blowback. And the moving parts on the rifle. But the vanilla recoil was ridiculous.

I'm on Xbox 1. You don't have to build the stations for "Salvage Beacons" at EACH settlement. My 1 in Sanctuary sends the Salvager out and then to whatever settlement you choose. Happens pretty fast, too.
Having a few stations spread around the commonwealth does spead up the savaging. I generally use three or four (Jamaica Plains, hangman's alley, starlight drive in, maybe one more)

This system may not be as good for the UA-camr, but without it the viewers phones would be getting a ridiculous number of notifications.

The batch file is one of the first things I set up when I played fallout four. I always called mine, gibs junk. Or gibs munny. Depending on how much I wanted to cheat. :3 For anyone who cares, you can merely set up a notepad file with command console commands on it, and then name the file and throw it in your data folder. It's really handy though it's also nice that the modding community sets these up for less computer savvy individuals. I use a lot of these mods myself already, but I've always liked checking out your channel for stuff I may have missed, please keep on keeping on!
It should be noted that Random Crits drew me into it because it makes several of the 'On Crit' legendary effects seem slightly more viable. Frenzy on Crit? Not quite as dumb because you're not wasting your one-shots for a effect that won't matter. elements on crits too become a slightly more viable fun piece of detail, as with good enough luck you can be constantly be spewing out fire, cryo, shock or what have you.
the command 'tgm' will Toggle God Mode as well as adding unlimited ammo and no reload and finally the ability to place whatever you want in workshop mode and you dont even need any junk
I haven't really run into the power-line issue, because one of the mods I use is "Place Everywhere" which also affects power lines. I've never done the thing where I run wires across a settlement like you did, though, preferring to keep the wires above head height for relative realism.
For the junk items, I have an Xbox one mod called something like shipment of 99999 all junk, which is a small paper item placed from the resource tab in workshop mode, although it looks like the max for any item is 38k
I use mines a lot I put little minefields around my settlements but I also use SKK settlement attack system so it’s good to have that additional layer of defense

There was a mod- cant remember the name of it- but essentially you built a mr. gusty and it scrapped the settlement for you, so you could just go about your way and when you got back- sanctuary would be clean (or something like it). ever heard of it by any chance?

well when it comes to critical damage i tend to cheat. I use the console command [Player.setav 2dd 100] which sets the critical hit chance to 100%. Which means every shot is a crit shot. So for those who love using energy weapons to either turn their enemies into Ash or green goo, using this command makes it so every shot is a crit shot and hence killing the enemy with a crit shot turns them into ash or goo.
What I find easier than those 'give me all the junk' mods is to add 1 simple item. Just give yourself an item called 'Batch File Tester'. If you need the code, it's 247e7f. Add 1 of those to your inventory, and it breaks down to 100 of all junk pieces. fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Batch_File_Tester

It doesn’t send every sub a notification cause the algorithm can tell your not interested in the content. I’m subbed to JohnSandman and like his vids, but as of late I’m not really interested and am not watching his vids as much anymore. And I’m glad UA-cam doesn’t just make me unsubscribe from his channel just cause I temporarily lost interest.

Can anyone recommend me a mod I can use to dispose of corpses that won't despawn? Or just a console command? There's this one dead Raider together with a dead mongrel infront of the bridge in Sanctuary and it just drives me nuts. I've even dumped the corpse into the river hoping it would make a difference but nope, the next time I loaded in it was there again.

Lasers are light. Light is formed from photons. Photons don't have mass. Laser weapons should not have recoil.

About the whole laser recoil thing technically the laser weapons in fallout are technically laser bolters so they would have recoil

Mines save lives on survival. Falling back, tossing a mine down and hiding like a coward has saved me more times than I can remember.
