Oooo, they brought Ein back, Hitomi's DOA 3 outfit - and a nice new hair style, and that DOA 3 stage I loved so much.
Also, I hope that last piece of music is actually in the game. The DOA 3 trailer featuring that track was pretty epic.
Alpha is going to look amazing chasing after an opponent on that stage from DOA3.

The screen shot of the character select screen was the Free Version so far. If you think about it, they still have a few more to go. It would be too much of a big spoiler to say, "look were almost finished". The empty spaces in the corner could be secret characters. They can't be finished just yet. This month and 2 more months left to go.
I seriously hope that Ein's DOA3 C1 is going to be in this, that costume was amazing.
Oh no, this isn't a case of MvC3. Sure some costumes were pulled away and made as DLC in DOA5, but that was it. Post release of the game, fans were just asking for stuff (at the time, Ein and Momiji were requested to be playable) and TN listens to what fans have to say. So basically DOA5U is what fans asked for, features from DOA5+ included. They didn't purposely take things out and "oh! let's release a different game with all these things we didn't add in the first game!". No.
Thankfully that's going to change in DOA5U. You will now be able to select music all from DOA1 to DOA5. Which is pretty awesome in my book.
People that compare to Capcom obviously haven't heard of DOA2 Ultimate. Only people who played that game know they didn't make another version after that. Ultimate has /all/ content in it without DLC.
so far we got Jacky, Ein, Leon, and Momiji. Add Ryo from Shenmue and 3 more characters and I might be tempted with separate story endings of course
One of the two character slots that have a question mark on them is Leon. When you look at it you won't find Leon. So technically they one have 1 more character they are going to show.
They should bring back the burning opera stage from DOAU. That would make a great stage given DOA5 is all about "fighting entertainment".
If it's just 3 new characters, it should be released as DLC for us early DOA5 adopters as well.
im glad their bringing stuff from the old games back...i just hope they bring back stuff from doa4 thats the only one ive never playd

I heard from a (most likely unreliable) source that Vanessa was the next and final girl to be revealed. He/she also said that 8 stages were going to be added with 4 new and 4 old.
at least 5 NEW characters, 15 NEW stages, NEW soundtrack to justify these release, no remakes of nothing
I hope more Virtua Fighter characters are in he game, such as Goh for example.

Im glad I actually waited this time even though I didn't know there was going to be an ultimate version but seriously why can't this just be DLC it doesn't seem enough to warrant another version of the same game with a few extras.
That's Ein. He's pretty much Hayate using karate instead of ninjutsu.

I agree with you on three things. DOA has beautiful character design, the generic stages, and how well the characters play nice. I thought the stages in DOA5 sucked, I prefer DOA3's stages of all stages. And yes I love how vivid the characters fight. But I don't agree with how easy DOA5 is. The difficulty of DOA is the same as always just a few changes in character movesets and new elements such as advanced countering. Destructions is way better! Have you see the cliff hangers?!??!

From what I have read (And don't take my word but this is a possibility) releasing new character DLCs would 'break' the game. Not sure how the heck to explain it, since I don't understand what that means. But, I do think that they mean that it'd mess the game up if they went and released the characters as DLCs. But, with the stages they can do that. In fact, they kinda should.
Im glad to see the infamous stage Ein is fighting on I havent seen since DOA 3. you guys are doing well with your fan service. I Just hope to see more VF characters...Kage or Shun-DI especially *fingers crossed. but I'll still get this one. Its nice to see Jackie though..nice rival for Jan-lee.
why every good fighting game have to do exactly like Capcom did? I don't get it and I hate it.
I agree DOA should of had the entire DOA5 complete, but at the same time It does get me hyped to see them make a new one and I will buy it day one. But for you to say that DOA5 is a step-down to the previous DOA (DOA4) you must obviously not played DOA5 enough to realize the fixes they made. Just so we are clear, can you tell me how exactly DOA5 is lacking? or is a step down? Because for you to just randomly say that (which I hope you're not) will make you appear ignorant.
Game is gonna be $40 over here. Don't simply convert the yen into USD. You have to consider the economy differences. Trade in your old copy to save even more money on the new copy. Do you realize how much memory would be the DLC considering the amount of content for the new fighters, stages, etc? We already got so far confirmed at least 4 confirmed (Leon pretty much is), 4 new stages (Neo Tokyo Skyscraper, that desert stage, Lost World, and Forest), Vita stuff, new mechanics, etc. = SSFIV disc
DOA5 Ultimate isn't a dream match sequel like Dimensions. DOA5U is an expansion of the /canon/ story. Genra and Raidou will not make it in since they are dead. Only one to be able to make it is Tengu. Other than that DOA still has a small roster. Even if there wasn't any VF. I'm glad there are VF since it will make the roster bigger. Unless they make more NG characters official DOA members like Momiji.
So i think they made this game because the new gen consoles are not backwards compatible which means none of your old games will work on the new console, but i already payed 60 bucks for this game i don't really wanna pay another 60 for the same game just cause they added a few characters.
They also need to put Ayane's suspender outfit in there.

Wt....? DoA5 was released not a year ago, and it's not a bad game. Why can't they just add the new characters and stages as DLC or something? This aggravates me.

well thats true about different things appealing to other. so i respect that. but seriously all these additional adons could have been DLC instead were forced to buy the same game after a few months thats pissed off gamers enough in the past. Tekken Tag Tournament 2 was COMPLEAT it retained everything that made it Fantastic and added a Tone more of wat the fans requested. all the Ultra Hard work shines and it paid off beautifully. DOA5 was below average,lacking,and a step down from the lastDOA

Honest to god who gives a shit about boss characters? They're not all that great honestly. Maybe Genra would be nice, but the others? Hell no. Besides they're taking away space for new characters and boss characters tend to be OP regardless if they nerf them or not. Anyway I saw the picture of the DOA rooster. Since Ein has been revealed I will assume he is the guy with the glasses. One of the blocks would be Leon. I have no clue who the last guy/girl could be. Perhaps another female villain?
from me 2 DOA fans and Tekken also, i knew my opinions wer over the line but i now know i REALLY went to Dame far. guess i needed another strong Tekken repressentiv to kick my ass to geat that. I love fighting games and im sorry 4 all the shit sturing. please except my apologies :(

I sold all the Street Fighters 4.1 , 4.2 , 4.3, 4.4 and 4.5 that I bought since they are all replicas and a cheap way to cut our throats... I sold all the Tekkens Tag, Tag hybrid, Tag 2 , Tekken 4 , 4.5 and 4.7 since I have not seen any significant change since Tekken 3 ... And definitely won't buy DOA 5.2 whatsoever ...
