I remember watching this around the time you broke the record but randomly got the urge to rewatch it now. The amount of skill and confidence you had to pull this off is insane. This is still incredible to watch.
Damn, I remember when I was a kid, I didn't understand English and the game wasn't localized in my region, since I didn't had a Memory card, I had to play the intro of this game many many times and I memorized the dialogue even though I didn't understand anything, I think this may have helped me learn English. Thank you Super Mario Sunshine, I'm still waiting for that long overdue HD Remake.

what’s the benefit of doing him out of order? like doing the first petey fight before the paint monster blocking the path? i’ve noticed the 64 speed run does a lot of shines out of order too, and i would assume that it would take up more time to have to cycle back to old stars in the menu, wouldn’t it? :0

I swear some lines are tweaked to, not the lines on general but the fluidity on the sentences i felt it more clear in the court scene
Jason Lobo most of the Japanese know English but not very well as it is there second language so they simplified the lines a lot more

Oh this is just lovely! What was your capture setup? Everything was so clean! I'm assuming Wii 480p or some other method of component.
For this run I used an avermedia LGX with HDMI using Wii2HDMI - but I switched to Elgato HD60S more recently
