Jonid Crushfire it’s only possible on PAL. On NTSC it requires frame perfect arm pumping and a subpixel perfect item pickup. It also only works 50% of the time because door transitions are only active every other frame.

My favorite part of any TAS Metroid speedrun is when a runner is forced to sit and do nothing while something loads or a boss is trying to make its grand entrance and it's like they have to fidget as much as possible because they cannot contain the speed
