- Well, we found the Gheenoe we wanted but it was all the way in Tampa Bay Florida. Having a lot of traveling under our belt and the itch to hit the road, we decided to make a trip out of picking up a new toy. In this video I walk you through the features of the boat and some of the modifications I intend on adding in the near future. Nice gheenoe. We just finished restoring a 13’ lowsider. Now starting a 15’4 high sider. Great boats.

What are 3 things you'd change with the layout, storage etc? Im building one nowm
I would mount the hatch in the back in a way that I could put a cooler up there to sit on. That's really my only complaint
I just thought about your comment. I've done a lot of modifications since I got the boat and I have more advice. Sea dek is a game changer. Just know now that you should absolutely get some if you buy one thay doesn't have it. I also installed a bilge pump which made me way less anxious about being in open water. I'll make a video once I get a little more done to it but I figured it may help to tell you now
Hey man do you think the highsider is light enough to pull by hand on the trailer into a backyard ?
Yea it's definitely light enough. I had this same concern because I push it around my garage but its no problem.

How much was it? Came from the crab video. Not a boater, it would like something to crab/shrimp from and put out crab traps. Didn’t see the boat on their website.
My boat was $2600 for everything. It's definitely doable with a kayak if that's out of your budget. Your best bet to find one is to look around Florida for a used one. New ones have a 2 year waiting list
Whats speeds are you getting with that 8hp?
Man its hard to say. I didn't check my phone go see how fast I was going. That clip at the beginning is me going full speed. Probably 12 mph with my wife and gear

Dry weight?
I was told the hull is 300 lbs with no motor. I'm making another walk through of it soon so keep an eye out. I've done quite a bit to it
I couldn’t see the trailer behind my truck either put the tailgate down do you want to get embarrassed anymore
I have a bar on my trailer that keeps me from being able to do that. It will open but at soon as I turn it will hit the gate. I just get out and lift the trailer straight now 🤣. I'll eventually put some pvc indicators on it
I gotta 13foot I just got registered I stay river ready.take only 10 mins to hook up an out the door small bout means less gear🤙
@@chillinwithmike4699 Yea man I can get to the lake and out on the water pretty quick. I take a ton of gear regardless so it takes me more than ten minuets :D
