- how to partition a pendrive in 100 floppys for the Gotek floppy emulator
You can look for the program writing the name: Batch Manage Tool V1.40
Or You can download it from: bit.ly/38etqW1
I tried this software on Windows 10 and a PSR-9000. I have to say that you can actually have 999 floppies; just format the USB-Stick with the emulator drive: press the two buttons simultaneously while starting the PSR, once it begins to count, you can release the buttons and wait until it goes until 999. Then you can use that USB in the PC and with the software described here.
Thanks anyway for posting this video. It helped me to find the software.
Sorry, I just realized that the software in deed recognizes only 100 diskettes, but that's ok for me. By the way, the software will also format the USB-Stick faster than the emulator itself.
Another thing you have to say is that if you add files to the emulated floppys, then you have to "Save" from the menu: 7:38 or you can right click on the disk and also save it. If you don't do this and for some reason the USB stick gets disconnected, all the files that you put on the emulated floppy will be gone.
Really great tutorial on the USB Floppy Emulator Korg Triton 🎹Workstation. Thanks for your time sharing the knowledge and step by step installation process.
My pleasure!
I can confirm, Triton classic works with this software and you can switch with the buttons on the Gotek drive, just as it meant to be.
Thank you for the video! But what to do next? How can I load songs onto these virtual floppy disks now? After all, this is the main thing :)
You have to open the virtual floppy as shown in 5:44 by double clicking on it. Then drag and drop the files from your computer and finally go back to the program, right click the disk you just added files to and then choose "Save".
@@jmemusic Hi, this does not work, the external device with the old technology faked by Gotek, will not be able to read these files. I learned that someone should create a floppy drive image for every floppy, do you know how to do it?
@@wolfgangwiesinger9502 If you load the USB into the "Batch Manage Tool", is it showing you that you have 100 virtual floppies? Do you see the files on them, eg: you will see a percentage usage? If this is the case, then the problem is the format that it is expected by your device. Perhaps it is the folder structure, the length of the file names, names containing spaces, etc..
In my case, I only have to upload .sty and .mid files, then the keyboard will recognize them.
thanks for the tutorial. It was very helpful. I had to create a DISK folder into the downloads folder to make it work on windows 11 for some reason.
Yes, this is because of Windows 10/11 permissions. On my case, I first installed it under: "C:\Program Files", but not all users have access to it, so, I did it as the author of the video suggested: install it under "C:\". You can also choose: "C:\Users\\..." if you want.
Thanks for the video, it really helped!
One tip, I got an error that media is write protected, I resolved it by creating sub directories for each image like:
C:\Program Files (x86)\ipcas GmbH\Floppy Emulator\Disk\D\FLOPPY001
C:\Program Files (x86)\ipcas GmbH\Floppy Emulator\Disk\D\FLOPPY002
C:\Program Files (x86)\ipcas GmbH\Floppy Emulator\Disk\D\FLOPPY003
etc..
If I don't have a matching directory for each disk image, I can't access it from the manager.
Solution to: Opening disks does not open the correct DISK location. Do not use the default pathway as shown in the video. Create DISK and DISKBAK in a different location, when you go to SET the pathway the OK button will highlight for you to click it. For me, and apparently others, putting DISK and DISKBAK folders as shown in the video results in the My Documents folder opening and you cannot access the emulated disks. Change the pathway of DISK and DISKBAK to something other than the defualt in SET to resolve this.
Thank you very much.........
Excelente video me ayudó mucho
Gracias
A great and kind video, very very well explained, only that it is impossible for me to download the software as of today, if you could send it to me I would appreciate it too much
Doesn't seem to work for me. I have a cd that came with the Gotek
hello, thanks for your videos. I changed my USB pen to the 100 floppy's just as you showed, but I can't copy a midi file to any of the floppy's. what am I doing wrong?
Maybe the upload folder is write protected. You should choose something where your Windows user can write, for example: "C:\Users\\Downloads\Disk" or any other path you want
The best
:)
But the files must be .img form to put them in the USB. i have (.set) files how i can put them in the usb?
What is maximum capacity (limitation) for USB memory stick? I heard, the capacity should not be more than 4 GB. Is it true? thanks
Indeed, I should use one of 2gb as much. I am not sure about 4gb
When I want to format the usb it's saying acces denied .. what I need to do or to change pc
Hi, I am using this program but need so special technical help. Can you help or put me in contact with someone the developed the program to assist. I need to be able to name for example teach 03 disk REGIST_EDIT and then load data. Then I have to be able to select 03 and load that data. I have it on an early USB i did using XP in 2017, but it now won't work, and the new programs doe seem to be able to do this. I think this might be because the original program only single format not bulk like now, showing all 100 disks simultaneously. There must be a way.
We're are trying to use a Miditemp with a Gotek USB Floppy Disk Emulator. Now we have two problems: 1) We can't connect the Gotek in the proper way. We tried all possible solutions and variations with jumpers, flatcable or config files. Miditemp doesn't recognize the Gotek. 2) Even if the Gotek displays the correct number of images of floppy disks on the 4GB USB stick, Miditemp doesn't see the midi files in those images. Not sure what software (Windows 10) to us for making images and putting files in those images. Can anyone help us with (step by step) instructions, software, links or whatever? Thanks.
Thanks!
After formatting and using the flash drive in this program is there any way to use the flash drive like normal - I don't need it for my gotek any more and would like to use it for another project. Windows only shows it as the first floppy drive - not the full capacity of the flash drive
I guess you have to go to the Windows Device Manager and delete all the partitions.
Can anybody tell me how to go back and add more data to empty disks?
I'm good up to 6:11 of your video. I have the Disk and Disk Back folders in the file, but when I click on floppy 000, I don't get the same window opening as you do, "Disk>E>Floppy000". I get it opening "My Documents." And if I go to C drive, open my Disk folder, nothing was created. I'm stumped what the issue is as I downloaded the exact same program....
Hey, i am having the same problem! i found a video where the program its another, but you can change the floppy more easily ua-cam.com/video/PH70jyZ5ZtM/v-deo.html
edit: this guy SOLVED THE PROBLEM!!!!!

@@tiagodaniel3194 Thanks Tiago!
@@grantbinder2500 its nothing man!!
I don't understand how I can get my midifiles in 100 folders. it also doesn't show me the 100 diskette folders in DISK or DISKBAK. The emulator is in my Technics keyboard KN Sx 3000
The thing is that in Windows, you will only see one 1.44 MB drive. You need the software to see the 100 diskettes
when I click on the floppy address, why is the displayed folder the document folder? not a floppy folder on disk
I have same cuestion.... can you help me please???
I already fixed the problem, I changed the path and created again the DISK and DISKBAK folders and re-routed them in set...
Hi when I add files to my different floppy disks and then view my usb files I only ever see the Floppy0 file why could this be?
i AM ALSO EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE. DID YOU GET ANY SOLUTION FOR THIS ISSUE? IF SO PLEASE HELP ME TOO. THANK YOU SO MUCH
Can I do that with a Mac OSX ?
Has anyone found out how to "format" the USB to have 999 floppies instead of 100? Nowadays it is difficult to find 1 or 2 GB USB stick (exception at Aliexpress but with doubt on efficiency), how much would be the size of the USB? 100*1.44MB = less than 200 MB (I have an 8 GB USB for 100 floppies :)), or 999*1.44 = 1440 MB, so many space of the USB will be wasted then? (Anyway, the cost of 1-2 GB USB is "none" though).
link to software ?
How to copy the files to the disks?
I cant copy a file it says the sytem cannot find the path specefied.im running windows 10.pls help.
If you changed the installation path as suggested on the video, by default the Software will use: "C:\Program Files\USB Floppy Emulator V2\Disk", which doesn't exist, so, make sure that you did what the video author mentioned here: 4:17
Could you type the partition software on the comment please .
Access denied format USB disk
norton gives BIG alarm on your download link
hello, sometimes the antivirus can do that, you can look for it just typing the name on google as well
@@PalaceofEternia via another vpn was not a problem, so thanx for sharing..
Software has viruses. Don’t use
It does not. Just make sure to get it from a legit site.
