    Great tutorial, I have a question though, are the panels supposed to get wider with every row of stitches? This is my first time, and it's getting wider with each rows I've done. Thanks :)

      Thanks! The panel is not supposed to get wider though. You must be increasing by accident, possibly on the beginning/end of the rows.

    I've never seen such beautiful double crochet - it's exemplary ! And the first st of each row trick makes for a wonderfully even piece of crochet fabric. I believe I'm going to have a go at coming up with something within screaming distance at least of such quality. An excellent video - my compliments !
    P.S. The voice: there's a definite Australian sound to some vowels: where are you from, you clever woman ?

    What kind of yarn are you using? How many SKEINS do you use and is this a one size fits all it seems everybody’s doing extra large and extra extra large and I just need a medium size sweater for a man. Beautiful sweater I’m going to give it a try

      Thank you! It's a weight 4 acrylic yarn. I used 544 g / 6 balls for this size. You can make it smaller by subtracting some stitches and/or rows for the panels, and how many stitches you should do for the panels also depends on your yarn and hook. Hope this helps!

    Looks very nice❤️✨, but do you do the ribbing first before starting the back/from panel or are the separate and I have to join them together? I’m a bit confused 😅

    • @CherilynQ
      @CherilynQ  Рік тому

      Thank you! Ribbing comes after everything’s joined together. I think that part is covered near the end of the video.

    Cherilyn, may I beg some help, please ?
    I really want to try making a garment as simple as this and see if I can reproduce anything like your quality. But I'm not sure if simply casting on and measuring it around my (_|_) then making the no. of sts divisible by 3 and going on from there is going to work. I need some expert input, if you will.
    Oh, and now I see that we're talking Spotlight yarn, I know I'm right about your being a possibly somewhat reccent Aussie ! :D

    • @CherilynQ
      @CherilynQ  Рік тому +1

      Are you talking about the division for neck hole? I didn't mean to divide it by 3.
      I just left 30 at the center and then each shoulder happens to have 30 sts as well. You could refer to a sweater of yours to decide how many sts you should leave.
      And yeah, I'm in Australia. Spotlight is a pretty good place to find yarn. Unfortunately, there aren't any Michaels or Joann, at least I can't find any. Sad

      @@CherilynQ No; Spotlight and Lincraft are the only two Oz-wide stores that stock yarn, alas !
