I came up with my own letter scheme, where the left side is LEFT, BACK for the back, RIHS, stands for right hand side for the right and some other letters assigned to the others (not gonna share cuz its sth to do w/ my native language and ull not uderstand anyways)
@@liamcanty2053 that's not what I'm saying. You can't say the video is helpful if you haven't even seen it yet. Not saying that Jack Kai's videos aren't always helpful, but how are you supposed to know. That's what @Noel Wong means aswell
I have just started to learn 3BLD using OP, I haven't had a success yet because I am so bad at memorizing the letters. If I try to make them into words, I'l forget what letter I actually need.😂😂😂😂
Can you also make a vid about how to remember the corners and edges with like audio or with words and like in what order you should memorise and execute them? For example like: "First you memorise edges by making letter pairs and make them into words or pictures in your mind..." I want some tips on how to memorise the corners and edges
Hilarious and educational vid... hahaha. Im also celebrating because I got my first success yesterday! Spent maybe 10mins memorizing, and then 2:54 to solve! I was so surprised when I opened my eyes and it was done!!
I’m pretty familiar with my letter scheme, but memo still takes a while because I can’t quickly think of ways to remember letter pairs (like words for corners). Any tips?
Does anyone else have their letter scheme work like reading (left to right, top to bottom) instead of clockwise? My orientation is also red front, blue top.
Hello... I'm currently learning 3BLD and was wondering if it was a good way to write the Scheme down and look at it if I wouldn't remember it, to try and remember as many Letters as possible?
Jack, about how long did it take for you to be able to get consistently sub-20 memo? And about what speed do you think memo needs to be for you to consider it "fast"? Thanks in advance :)
was quite a long time ago when I did that so not sure, feel free to check out my old videos to get a feel for when that might've been though. Well 'fast' is kinda subjective but I'll say sub 10 since it's a nice round number hahah
I'm extremely slow at memorizing, not because I don't know my letter scheme (I know it quite well, I'm used to it) but because I keep losing concentration and I can't focus on what I'm doing. I'm dumb.
Hey Jack i use m2 method for edges and when ever i get c/w or i/s second during memo should i memorise it as the opposite colour or the same colour and do it during execution
Do you think that using symbols/numbers in the speffz scheme instead of alphabets might be better? I have actually never tried it but watched a video regarding that long time ago. Also my memo time currently is about ~12 secs but I review the corner memo once before doing audio edges. I don't review the edges but I use images for corners but can't one pass them. Do you have any advice?
I think using numbers to memorise was the norm like a decade tho but in relatively recent times, I only know of one fast person who used something involving symbols and something else (marcin kowalczyk). So maybe it's technically possible but I don't think it'd be straightforward/no resources on it. Practise one passing corners, figure out some way to make the 1st letter pair of corners stand out (also remember that even some of the world's best solvers still have issues with corner recall after edges)
Oh thanks! Making the 1st letter pair strong makes sense. I think Oliver Frost in one of his videos also said the same regarding wing memo. After centre execution, I often tend to forget my wing memo, but making the 1st letter pair extremely vivid made the flow. I never did that in 3BLD but will now try to do.
Should i learn 3style by spamming solves or learning from a sheet? Also yes i watched the video altough im already comfortable with sub minute bc its Jack Cai
