Tip1: turn all your setups to different algorithms for different cases If you use OP and M2 for 3style practice your cases and do your executive fast and effortless. Back to OP and M2 Use Jack Cai's recommended set ups for edges and learn better algs for them Like for the Ja perm (L perm) use the x' R2 version that J perm uses if you prefer that and For Ja perm use the standard with U' at the end nothing else for T perm also use standard For R perm or parity use any Alg Recommend options:The new one J perm uses Option 2 The standard Jack Cai recomends and put in his part 2 video Use any set up for Corners Use the set up that Swaps A to V or the one that J perm uses that Swaps E to V which is easier to Figure out intuitively but Jack Cai's version is Easier to understand and more optimized and easier to learn Even J perm uses The Old pochman That Jack Cai uses bacause the set ups for edges uses E And M moves which Can save moves and it takes less time The proof I found that J perm uses Jack Cai's Set ups is his Intro in his Eka &Orozco tutorial for edges and I recommend Remembering Set ups as cases so Remember set ups as (Set up,Alg, set up') remember a-x as different cases and algs the only thing you should be focusing on in BLD solving is the letter pairs you memorize and execution without pauses
Recently switched to UFR so the pause less tip might not work as well right now, but I approve the advice you give! But I think I should rather work on my memo, I saw you get a 1:58 4BLD in the other video with 50/1:08 splits, while 1:05/53 sounds more like the 1:58 that I would get lmao
Suggestion video: 3 walkthrough solves of 3style, just like what they do with 3x3, 4x4, 5x5 etc. you don't even have to do the words/images/stories for the memo, just the letters is fine. and you also don't even have to change your lettering scheme. just a simple walkthrough solve.
you can still reach a minute just by using m2/op and maybe trying out other stuff like improving memo but if you want to become serious in 3bld then sure
I have a problem: Very often when I turn for example front, right, left, up or down, the middle part tends to turn with it, which makes it harder for me to turn fast. I hope it makes sense. Would lubing the cube be a viable solution or do I just need to get another cube? Any feedback is helpful.
I guess it's a mix of making sure you're gripping the cube properly so that the middle slice doesn't move as well + maybe some setting up/lubing of the cube
@@JackCaiCubing I appreciate the very quick response! I want to ask you what kind of cube you would recommend for 3BLD? I'm planning on getting a new cube sometime and am on no budget. If you've already made a video on it, I'd be glad to check it out.
@@JackCaiCubing Oh, hadn't actually watched the entire video 😬. Was gonna save it for when I'd learned 3BLD. Thanks to you I can now solve the corners and am currently working on the edges. Your tutorial is perfect!
Hi, not sure how it is on other timers but on cstimer at least, you can change the box at the top left to '3x3x3', then the options will show up at the top right. Having said that thought, it's not necessary to use such scrambles
Maybe... consider how mathematics and blind solving are related... Think about this: Maybe you once had a teacher who said/thought that "Mathematics is everywhere!". The question is... does that make it useful... better question: How has mathematics been using you through your exploration of cubing, i.e. blind solving? Mathematics is using you. Physical cubing stores actually exist?
they're pretty rare tho hahah
I personally think corner only is only useful to get familliar with corner comms and learn how to do 2 sided corner recognition
