- What is the order of the flaming rose? In this video I try my best to explain the history of the order of the flaming rose . I will go over prominent members and their history, the order of the flaming rose's effect on the witcher games, Jacques de Aldersberg, Siegfried de Löwe, Ulrich, Arthur Tailles of Dorndal and last but not least Siegfried of Denesle! A quick disclaimer - A lot of these videos use information from the witcher wiki, in some cases I do read directly from the pages, I do always make sure to include my own thoughts and other information I know myself, but I just want to make sure everyone is on the same page here. Even though I use information from the wiki, I do still create the videos, with time, effort and a lot of editing! The idea behind the lore videos is to present to information to you guys in a fun and more interesting way then you guys having to get the information from pages and read it yourself. If anyone isn't okay with this I apologise, but since day one I have always said where I get the information from. Thank you for reading.

Although grandmaster Jacques behind the Salamander, not all the knights betray the ideal.
Our Geralt believe Siegfried and some knights are innocent. So Foltest renamed Siegfried as the new grandmaster.

Kind of annoyed that the order of the flaming rose wasn't a focus especially since the church of the eternal fire was such a big part of the witcher 3. Great video as always.

devs wanted to put siegfried or yaevinn (depends on your choices in witcher 1) in witcher 3 alas they were in a hurry.
Between Witcher 2 and 3 The Order was merged into Radovid's Witch Hunter army, so you do the them often in the game, just not as the Order. (this was mentioned by a member in Hearts of Stone)
Where did they say that they cut things out because of being in a hurry?
Well most of the order was mixed into Radovids witch hunters or they deserted. Radovid had no interest having an organization with such power in the nirth
I loved Siegfried in the first game. I even sided with the order cause I liked him that much and I didn't really know much of the struggles of non-humans. I was kinda sad he wasn't in the third.

If I remember correctly, "Roderick De Wett" is killed by Geralt regardless of the path preferred by the player(like with "Jakub De Aldersberg"), & "Patryk Z Weyze" may or may not be killed by Geralt, depending on the decisions taken by the player(like with "Zygfryd Z Denesle").

WitcherGeorge would have been cool I don't think vernon Roche would. Have objected at all he respected him and to top it off he was a very experienced commander radovid to pass off such a skilled commander like that was foolish speaking of which radovid would as be a good subject for a video

because they're both redanians. i doubt that siegfried would let the nilfs enslave other countries because he's not a selfish person unlike roche.

I might be nitpicking, but I don't think, it was Jacques de Aldersberg's goal to turn all humans in to mutants, so that they would survive the white frost. His idea of humanity surviving the white frost was, to lead them in a mass exodus to the south. And while he alone couldn't lead his "sheep" through this dangerous time to come, he would therefore need his greater brothers (mutants) to lead them. Who had, which he told Geralt, one thing all the witchers lacked. No individuality.
Surely he must've known that the white frost would consume the world and going south would do nothing?
WitcherGeorge I know that. But what I quote, is just what Jacques said... truely a troubled man (hope that didn't sound too salty). Alvin/Jaccques was a bit incapable as we know, which makes sense, because he comes possibly from some little town nearby Vizima and inbreds are not a too strange thing in those regions. But who knows where he really comes from!?

from the little experience I have from the witcher 1 and 2, what characters you leave alive dont really matter, this is to say that CDPR placed the story on top of continuaty, like if you dont help that Temerian Spy, the one tha makes shoes W3 he will still show, its either that, or just like any other military officer you meet, like john natalis, who is imply'd to be fighting or died fighting the black ones

not quite. Order of the White Rose is in the books; in the games OotWR changed into Order of the Flaming Rose when they've adapted religion of the Eternal Fire

The books never said it was impossible for boys to inherit the elder blood. It would be like saying if your mother's father had a full head of hair you will too, but that isn't always the cause with some people.
It's generally thought that 'Alvin' was cdprojectreds way of putting a ciri type character into the game, the witcher 1 was their first game and 'Alvin' doesn't really fit into the elder blood ancestry, if you look at the timeline of the people who possessed the elder blood, there isn't a single male, hence why it's believed, it's only inherited by females
I recently won a HoS trophy for killing them all, which was very satisfying.
Um I believe you’re wrong when you say that these guys weren’t in the books. If memory serves me right they actually had a brief appearance in book one when they attempted to threaten Geralt into leaving a monastery he was staying at to take care of his wounds after saving a princess from a curse that was shown in the first game. This monastery would in the future attempt to tutor Ciri in their ways and with the help of Yennefer control her at the time latent power.

Dryads aren’t elves there a separate race although they ally with the elves at times when they face threats they can’t handle themselves

What happened with Siegfried of Denesle?!
it is unknown. devs should've given some dialouges between geralt and tailles about siegfrieds fate if you support the order in the witcher 1. something like siegfried restored the previous order after the death of ulrich blah blah.
