Being from New orleans, I've seen beans cooked a thousand ways, my mom, my dad, my granny all pros! I've been blessed with a good spoon in my hand, and am good at banging them pots in my kitchen, you sir make it look easy and you put the good stuff in your pot, so that the even better stuff comes out, you got to know how to love your food from the boil to the bowl, you know what I'm mean! Good video, sir...bon Appétit!!!

I've been cooking beans for years, but they've never been this good. I followed this recipe but made pinto beans instead of red beans, the pot was so full of flavor after adding the beans to the stock from the smoked ham hocks, that I didn't need any salt. I almost wanted to lick my bowl when I finished eating, absolutely delicious 😋.

I've never cooked beans with ham hocks, but I'm excited. Matter of fact, I bought some neckbones too. I will be looking for Chef's recipe for neckbones later.
