Beautiful! Thumbs up from a Louisiana native. Pro tip - if you like thick, creamy consistency; you can take some of the beans out at the end and smash them. blend them a little and add back into the pot. Some like it where the beans maintain their integrity like you've done. Some like it where the beans have broken down to thicken the sauce.
This is Pearl’s husband - we watch you often and love the way that you make things sound and look so easy and delicious! Keep up the great work and you sure look good with that new cooking space wrapped around you!
Made this for my kids last night…I also served some Country Loaf I made that yesterday with it - they loved it and REALLY loved the bread! Keep the recipes coming.
Will for sure be trying this out. I'm scouring UA-cam for every bean recipe I can find right now. My mother went to Sam's Club and asked me if I needed anything. I said, "some dry beans if the price is good". She brought me a 12lb bag of dry beans.
@@ChefBillyParisi made it. Had to sub Creole seasoning and a bit of extra cayenne for the Cajun seasoning, but it was delicious. Even my picky wife scarfed it down! Thanks, chef!
JFYI… The ingredients on your written recipe are different from the ingredients being posted on your UA-cam channel. Which do you suggest we follow? Looks like an awesome recipe
Can’t wait to try this recipe… but do you have to use red beans? I never have them in my pantry but I do have pinto beans. Update: made this today…so good. Big hit with the family.
Billy boy…. I bloody LOVE you! Love your new kitchen, Hun. Do you ever have cooking sessions with “Joe public?” I would absolutely LOVE to spend a day with you in the kitchen. I’d travel to America just to cook with you!
Red beans and rice isn’t a Cajun dish, but otherwise not a bad recipe. Except that isn’t andouille sausage. May have been sold as andouille, but it’s not. Also, any “Cajun” dish or other south Louisiana dish that involves meat - the meat always gets browned first and the veggies sweated in the fat from that. This is one of the tenets of Louisiana cuisine.
I paused this video the second you said rice video! YES! Man, I’m a whiz in the kitchen, BUT as my sons say, “if you were on a cooking show and rice was an ingredient, you’d be sent home.” 😂

As a cajun, I gotta commend you on this recipe! I personally like to brown my sausage in the pot i cook it in before the vegetables.
I do too. I use the rendered fat to cook the veggies.

I’m a 47 year old Louisiana born and raised and made this for the first time today. Turned out so so good.
I am from Louisiana and I never rinse the rice. Plus I brown the sausage first. Looks amazing!!! Making this.
Made the pot of red beans and followed the video. Incredible flavor, felt like I was back in NOLA. Thank you Chef for the great instruction.❤
Love it! thanks for giving it a shot!!
Its that time of year for some yummy red beans and rice! Thanks Chef! How about a chicken and sausage gumbo recipe?
The way you explain things it’s just so easy to understand. Can’t wait to try this. May peace be upon you Top Chef Billy
Yum! Love red beans and rice! This looks so yummy! Thank you Chef Billy
I like your recipe. I made some tonight using my Mom's recipe. Cooked for 2 1/2 hrs.

Chef. One question. If I wanted to make this without meat would liquid smoke be acceptable to infuse that smoked meat flavor? Any thoughts?
Chef you had me at smoked ham hoc. 😋
Nice👌💚🌹👏👏👍👍
Couldn't find the granulated onion or garlic ingredients. So just using powered. is it the same ratio?
What’s the pot you’re using ?
Here we go

How can I make this vegetarian friendly. I know I can’t use the bacon fat and the chicken broth .
CHef, the beans look like Camellia's small red beans.... or are they actually red kidneys? Thanks.
I am pleased you used reusable containers. Thoughtful to our environment. So many chefs are not

I'm second in line to want to spend the day with you hanging out. let's eat
So it's Non Veg Cajun Version of Indian 'Rajma Chawal'
Those are small red beans not kidney beans , correct ?
Needs more Andouille.

Mon Dieu. Non.
Red beans from a can? My grandma is spinning in her grave
Have to offer substitutions or people lose it!
