Amazing job having u and Swrve play both characters in this scene.
I bet you’d both be great original characters for future Jurassic films .
Can you make more of these?
@@TommyBenjamin217 for sure
@@ingen2d Gennaro look like Kenji.
@@c.jackson275 I plan to do some scenes with the Juvie rex😁
one thing I learned from reading the novel was that Old Rexy was absolutely terrifying in this. Girl was a true beast in the novel. Too bad they couldn't give her more screen time in the movie, but I understand the limitations they had back then.
Fr bro, she was a menace
Even if they did I doubt they'd have made her like how she is in the novel. Spielberg wanted the T-Rex to come off more as the "Hero Dinosaur" for the ending of the film sort of with how it "saves" the characters at the end.
And then she was killed. While Rexy from the movie timeline survives TD.
Rexy is male
That's an easy misunderstanding. It is said in both the book and novel that the dinosaurs in Jurassic park are female. Some of them did change their sex due to the frog DNA but never Rexy. They also state in the novel that they call the t-rex a he/him because they just do, but they state that Rexy is still a female. The kids at Camp cretaceous also call Rexy by her name and refer to her as a girl. @@21-jy2go3nu3s
The fact that Muldoon hit the Rex TWICE but it didn't feel the tranqs until much, MUCH later just goes to show what an absolute unit the Rex was in the novel.
Muldoon hit the Tyrannosaur with the tranquilizer twice and Grant shot it once in cheek when it was attacking the raft so that was 3 doses and it still took a long time for it to work.
That thing is pure adrenaline when threatened, no wonder it rushed them and it didn't feel the tranqs until his own natural dosage of stimulant ran out.
as i remember the novel i think it drowned no??
@@pritishrout8771 Either it drowned or it got hit by the bombs. Either way, Novel Rexy was a goddamn menace.
@@pritishrout8771 It's implied to have drowned. When Tim runs a final population check on the dinosaurs, there is only one tyrannosaur on the list, even though the adult Rex fell asleep in a spot where the park's motion sensors would have detected her. And since the juvenile Rex is shown to be alive up until it gets napalmed, there are only two possibilities for what happened to the adult - either she woke up and went off to somewhere where the park's sensors couldn't detect her (unlikely), or she drowned in her sleep under the waterfall (which seems to be the case).
One of the great things in the book: they usually speak about the dinos as animals, as normal animals. They manage them, they care for them, they hunt them, in an ordinary way. It's kinda alienating, for a new visitor, and for the reader, too
Michael respected the fact that dinosaurs were animals, not wonder creatures.
Exactly. In the book they try to handle the situation like a regular park or zoo and repair the damage, even if some of it is irreparable. In the film this also happens, but it's much more like "We need to leave, everything is lost", as if they quickly accepted defeat and feared for their lives.
@@girl1213Which is ironic, because in the movie they look more like real animals. In the book itself it is said that those creatures out there were not dinosaurs, and the Rexy in the book tirelessly pursues the protagonists, like Espino in JP3, and her behavior is more reminiscent of Indominus than Rexy in the film.
@@keith4391 That's right, the rex in the novel is like those two, although was also a pretty bad hunter compared to them, she feels like the one in The Land Before Time.
The juvenile one was more like a real animal.
Because they are lol
Muldoon: "All the problems we have right now are _nothing_ compared to if the raptors were to get out of their holding pen."
The raptors: [drumming their claws in eager anticipation]
*The raptors would then proceed to get out of their holding pen.*
Something I dont understand is by this point they all know there are more raptors out there, yet they act like is no big deal.
@@PoorManatee6197 Well, all of the raptors are either in their holding pen or in their cave far away from everyone. Yeah, maybe they should've been more concerned about them, but to be fair, every character had at least two other things to worry about before the raptors.
@@Deadflower019 IDK man, imagine you are at the zoo and suddenly you are informed there are 30 lions loose somewhere around, surely putting yourself safe would become your priority.
@@PoorManatee6197 At this point Muldoon and the others aren't yet aware that the captive raptors are free or that there are wild raptors. They're still under the belief that the Rex is the only dino to break out of its pen, and everybody is still blissfully unaware that the entire park's fences are still offline (owing to the park still running on backup power). And apart from Grant and the kids, nobody knows that the raptors are breeding outside of the raptor holding pen. Everybody probably just assumed that the multiplication of the raptors happened inside the holding pen, where they were still contained.
If they had known then they would have absolutely been more concerned with the raptors because it should be around this time in the book (or perhaps a few hours earlier) that the visitor center was assaulted by the raptors (the formerly captive ones that were really aggressive) and killed everybody there, and nobody else noticed because all the phone lines were down. I don't think anyone would have been much too concerned with a tyrannosaur a couple of miles away if they knew that everybody in the visitor center was dead
You know Muldoon was waiting for a closer shot without the laser sight, but even he wasn't immune to losing his nerve with Rexy charging him down.
I absolutely love your take on the iconic “objects in mirror may be closer than they appear” scene, terrific job
Had to pay homage🤙
Just here to let those who haven't read the book know that it turns out he didn't miss-the tranq just took a while to take effect. Love Muldoon.
Excellent depiction of Muldoon, this was one of my favorite scenes in the novel next to his using the launcher against the Raptors.
i like the novel-version of Gennaro much more. A conscientious man who is constantly afraid, but still goes into dangerous situations because he sees that he has responsibilities. Then Alan Grant was clearly more unsympathetic to me, as he disliked Gennaro for no reason in my opinion.
BTW I can't remember that part at all.
No yah fax Gennaro was a beast in the novel he literally fought a raptor and I’m pretty sure he survived too
"The Lawyer,⚖ ?"
The way I remember it, Grant held Gennaro in contempt for what had happened due to the latter previously playing a part in enabling the factors that led to the park’s eventual downfall. Alan literally threw Donald against the wall when he tried to weasel his way out of shared accountability.
Crichton said he intended Gennaro to be kind of the "everyman" in the novel, and while there is no true "main character" in the novel, he was a close contender for it, Crichton himself says so; when Crichton was approached to pen a sequel after the success of the movie, he had to acknowledge some realities of Spielberg's creative choices, such as Gennaro being not only a different character but also dead in the world of the movie; hence, we learn in what amounts to a throwaway line in the novel "lost world" that Gennaro died of dysentery and hence why he plays no role, not even a passing one, in the lost world.
I’ve always thought this scene was underrated, cool to see it this way!
This is my favorite part of the novel
Little did Muldoon realize was that he actually did hit Rexy… Rexy is just tough
The book was way more creepy and immersive than the movie. The movie was good... but the novel was amazing.
God, imagine if the rights to a faithful adaptation of the novel were given to the studio behind _Invincible._ That would be perfect.
If they can get away with the violence in Invincible, hopefully they can with Jurassic Park
Could we keep some of the changes from the movie? (like with Lex and Grant)
The river raft scene in the novel is epic. I'm almost at the end of the novel.
One thing that would be cool to see would be a version of this intercut with what's happening at the same time on the other side of the trees. Because in the book, at the same time all this is happening, the Rex isn't hunting the Microceratus in the trees... it's hunting Grant and the kids in the raft.
Even the Dilos get a piece of her.
I’m screaming in excitement right now cause you did do a Muldoon and Gennaro chapter! Thank you so much. It’s beautiful. I love it!
The Rex’s head was terrifying and his walking animation was hilarious😂
What an awesome depiction of this scene! Artwork was fantastic and the voices were spot on. Thank you so much for this visual
I love this animation😄
It’s great to see the book version of these events play out.
swrve as muldoon is such an amazing casting
Very nice!👏🏻
(Plot twist: he didn’t miss it.😉)
Keep up the good work I wanna see more of these Jurassic Park novel animated stories perhaps in the far future someone will make a novel accurate version of Jurassic Park
Damn we gonna need tv series from this 😁
Great animation! It’s improved JURASSICALLY since the last novel animation! You just earned a sub. Please keep bringing more JP novel scenes to life in this way!
Thanks! The wonders of After Effects lol!
(He actually shot rexy, and she was later said to be tranquilized and asleep)
Ah yes Muldoon-Genaro content! they're such a couple in the novel XD
Muldoon looks like he makes a good Coffee in this one🙃☕
Thanks for the opportunity :D
Bravo! Been looking forward to this one. Worth the wait!
It's absolutely wonderful to see this being exactly like the book. I have already decided for myself if I ever get the great honor of remaking this film I would make it exactly like the book.
The only boring and unnecessary part of the book is the part about the raptors' nest. I mean, they had already escaped several deadly situations, especially with captive raptors, so why put themselves in a hole full of raptors inside? And Grant even forced Gennaro, who had no obligation to do anything, to enter too. He should have forced Hammond, that's for sure.
This was unnecessary for both the story and whoever is reading it, and it was forced as well. And it seemed to pave the way for a sequence with raptors on the continent, but not even that. A sequel to the book focused on this would be much better. Another sequel that would be better for the film would be something around Biosyn's shaving can, and the game JP: The Game explores this, bringing us back to what Jurassic Park is all about. Isla Sorna and the story behind it are good, but I feel that both the book and the film deserved more, and to explore in sequence what they had started to develop before, and the story with Isla Sorna should be left for later, or even being used in the book, to take the dinosaurs on the continent back, like in the second piece and yielding good parts of tension.
this needs to be the whole book, into 1 vid. I really wanted to watch the whole book word for word, scene by scene
Muldoon is the raptor worst nightmare in the book. Unlike the movie, he survived and was a side character done right.
Once again, amazing job!
You've made Muldoon's dialogue sound pretty hilarious while driving towards certain doom. 😆
He was probably utterly drunk and by that point jaded towards everything.
Bro these are awesome is the river raft next? It’s an amazing part in the book
For those wondering. He didn’t miss, the tranquilizer just took a bit to take effect
This is great!!!!
I would love JP series from Crichton with a narration!!
Continue with these series from JP
Already working on the next one!
Love this very intense in person i love the T rex design here i can't wait to see dennis nedry's death or the infant scene with the compies😨😨😨❤❤
I’m subscribing you, right now because you got my attention with your animation.
Ohhhh I hope you make more of these videos. Looking forward for the part on Nedrys Brutal Fate. That part gives me nightmares
Stay tuned for more!
My man this is amazing! I've always wanted to see the book's scenes reimaginated. Pls do more
More on the way!
This is awesome beyond words. Well done. Its really making me want to pursue the voiceover actor career I've dabbled with before.
I would love to see more book scenes
Soon!
I’m currently reading the novel after having listened to the audiobook twice over, but these clips are amazing. I and others would pay good money to see you make an entire animated movie of the book. 😩
I’ve always wanted to see this impersonated as a video.
A remake of Jurassic park would be amazing, book accurate.we all understand the limitations back then but now the budget is insane nowadys for most movies. Imagine instead of another crappy Jurassic world movie, they remake the original movie that is book accurate, with a red rex, violent like the book, Dennis nedrys death the same and maybe even rated R. Ik this would blow up.
Nice. My only gripe is that Gennaro is built like a, well, bodybuilder, able to kick a raptor off him as per the book.
Is Rexy red like in the book? I can't really tell because of the lighting. But superb regardless!
I agree. I purposely made Gennaro kind of regular fit so that Muldoon looks more imposing against him. I will make Gennaro more muscular in other scenes tho. I will also make the T-Rex more red as well!
@@ingen2d It's not a bad effect at all, makes him look out of place, just as it should be. Muldoon is strong too after all.
That jeep went Fast And Furious Mode with that engine rev
Shooting the Rex and exploding raptors god dang! Nice crossover w/Swrve
Great chapter. And with SWERVE. Can’t wait for more of these so fun. Amazing.
Very cool animation, good watch!
This is fantastic, thankyou!
This is so awesome. Amazing work!
i for some reson never realized Maldoon was a drunk lol untill someone said "youre drunk!'
this is superb! thank u so much!
This is a lot of fun!
Thanks Jack! Appreciate your work on the JP lore, and seen some Dino-Defenders as well!
@@ingen2d awesome! Thank you. Do you have discord?
@@Terrordome3000 ingen2d. Add me bro! Maybe we could have some cool discussions!
You've earned yourself a sub! Would love to see more of scenes from the novel. As much as I love the movie and as different as it is, the novel is excellent and I would love to see some of the novel scenes adapted.
Amazing animation, hope to see more soon
Coming soon!
Oh my god I love these videos. Keep up the good work
I listened to the novel last month. I've been craving jurassic park content since. The new game was announced a few few weeks ago, and it looks promising
We finally see these animated. Amazing
The book was definitely mature rated. Most Michael Crichton's stuff is.
what a scene !
This is the best animation, I've seen in illustrating the novel
New one coming soon!
@@ingen2d :OOOOO
Nice!
Some humble suggestions: the colour pallete could be a bit darker i think. I am no expert, so this is just my opinion.
The accent feel robotic, like it was spoken by AI. Would be cool to hear it like william roberts audiobook.
Could utilize some neat direction tricks to hide the limitations of animation.
Animation is hard, i know. So no pressure. These are some ideas that popped into my mind. Keep up the great work. People like you keep the community alive.
Thx! Since there is quite a barrier between me and Swrve, we recorded lines in separate settings.
Dope
*Spits out water*
When did you find the time to-
Which chapter was this again omg
I love your videos! Thank you so much for bringing the novel scens to life--especially the ones that didn't make it into the film! Please carry on making more!!
YES! Keep them coming!!!
This is excellent
Thanks!
4:28 "Must go faster."
Excellent!
Wait ? Gennaro is Phoenix Wright ? That is AWESOME !
I would just make Rexy's skin a darker shade of red brown. Other than that, good job !
Thanks for watching!
ngl this is exactly how I imagined it when I read the book
How have i not found this channel earlier like seriously how do you not have a million subscribers your awesome 👍😎
I remember this part from the novel, they actually drove the jeep in reverse to escape the Rex.
I just wanna see the book done by you guys in its entirety.. Give future directors ideas to do some proper JP stuff.
Awesome!!
I’ve read the novel by Crichton 9 times and second novel 8 times . I like the books better books better than the movies
No wonder the Rex was nerfed for both JP and JW. Had she remained an absolute unit like this, the Indominus would’ve had a much harder time taking Rexy down.
Kenner made the jurassic park figures bassed on the novel
I just watched all your animated JP stuff, they are all great! If you're gonna do another one, I hope you consider the river chase with grant and the kids.
I loved the film when I was a kid but as an adult the book actually gave me nightmares
Hey *NICE (👍)!* And I liked hearing _Swrve_ as Muldoon!
Yes he did quite well didn't he?
@@ingen2d He certainly did (👍).
This was great! Are you going to do the scene of Rexy chasing Grant and the kids in the lagoon and down the river?
@@rendarsmith yes!
Looks like you have outdone yourself, dude.
i like how the jeep, a jeep YJ no less, makes v8 noises. lol

Good Animation.
Ever Considered Doing Some From The Jaws Book?
@@jasonfrancis698 No but I did read the book. It was pretty good👍
Really awesome!!!
Can you animated the Trex hunting scene of the hadrosaur
Possibly some time in the future! I've got another video in the works rn!
Plot Twist: He didn't miss.
Thanks for the video
Thanks for watching!
did you ever read "micro" where they make the shrink ray and get honey-we-shrunk-ourselves on hawaii and have to battle ants and spiders and shit?
same authour,
would definitely be cool to see some of those scenes animated this way
but a man can dream
I am actually having nightmares about this
I really like this, though I must say that the rex's appearance is off here. if you look at the lost world novel, Crichton actually has proper illustrations of several of what the dinosaurs look like also you're missing the reddish brown with spots (like the kenner rex)
overall still well done.
This is true. I toned down the red because I thought it would've looked too cartoonish, but I might change it.
